Ziyarate Janabe Muslim (a.s.)

Text and Translation

سَلاَمُ اللّٰهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیْمِ

salamu allahi al`aliyyi al`azimi

The peace of Allah, the High, the Great,

وَسَلاَمُ مَلٰٓئِكَۃِ الْمُقَرَّبِیْنَ

wa salamu mala'ikati almuqarrabina

and the peace of the angels who are near (to Him),

وَاَنْبِیَائِهِ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ

wa anbiya'ihi almursalina

and His messenger-prophets,

وَاَئِمَّتِهِ الْمُنْتَجِبِیْنَ

wa a'immatihi almuntajabina

and His chosen Imams,

وَعِبَادِهِ الصّٰلِحِیْنَ

wa `ibadihi alssalihina

and His righteous servants,

وَجَمِیْعِ الشُّهَدَآئِ وَالصِّدِّیْقِیْنَ

wa jami`i alshshuhada'i walssiddiqina

and all the martyrs and the truthful ones,

وَالزَّاكِیَاتُ الطَّیِّبَاتُ فِیْ مَا تَغْتَدِیْ وَتَرُوْحُ عَلَیْكَ

walzzakiyati alttayyibati fima taghtadi wa taruhu `alayka

and the pure, goodly ones, morning and evening, be upon you,

یَا مُسْلِمَ ابْنَ عَقِیْلِ ابْنَ اَبِیْ طَالِبٍ

ya muslima bna `aqilin bna abi talibin

O Muslim, son of `Aqil, son of Abu Talib.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّهَا الْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحُ الْمُطِیْعُ لِلّٰهِ

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha al`abdu alssalihu almuti`u lillahi

Peace be upon you, O righteous servant, obedient to Allah

وَلِرَسُوْلِهٖ وَلِاَمِیْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَیْنِ

wa lirasulihi wa li'amiri almu'minina wa alhasani wa alhusayni

and to His Messenger, and to the Commander of the Faithful, and al-Hasan and al-Husain,

صَلَوٰتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْهِمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَ

salawatu allahi `alayhim ajma`ina

Allah’s blessings be upon them all.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ لَمْ تَهِنْ وَلَمْ تَنْكُلْ

ashhadu annaka lam tahin wa lam tankul

I bear witness that you did not weaken, nor did you flinch,

وَاِنَّكَ قَدْ مَضَیْتَ عَلیٰ بَصِیْرَۃٍ مِنْ اَمْرِكَ

wa innaka qad madayta `ala basiratin min amrika

and that you went forth with insight into your affair,

مُقْتَدِیاً بِالصّٰلِحِیْنَ وَمُتَّبِعاً لِلنَّبِیِّیْنَ

muqtadiyan bilssalihina wa muttabi`an lilnnabiyyina

following the example of the righteous, and the way of the prophets.

فَجَمَعَ اللّٰهُ بَیْنَنَا وَبَیْنَكَ وَبَیْنَ رَسُوْلِهٖ

fajama`a allahu baynana wa baynaka wa bayna rasulihi

May Allah gather us together with you and with His Messenger,

وَاَوْلِیَائِهٖ فِیْ مَنَازِلِ الْمُخْبِتِیْنَ

wa awliya'ihi fi manazili almukhbitina

and His intimate friends, in the abodes of the humble ones,

فَاِنَّهٗ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ۔

fa'innahu arhamu alrrahimina

for indeed He is the most Merciful of the merciful.
