Ziyarate Janabe Habib ibn Mazahir (a.s.)

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ الْمُطِیْعُ لِلّٰهِ

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha al`abdu alssalihu almuti`u lillahi

Peace be upon you, O righteous servant, obedient to Allah

وَلِرَسُوْلِهٖ وَلِاَمِیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَلِفَاطِمَۃَ الزَّهْرَائِ وَالْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَیْنِ

wa lirasulihi wa li'amiri almu'minina wa lifatimata alzzahra'i wa alhasani wa alhusayni

and to His Messenger, and to the Commander of the Faithful, and to Fatimah al-Zahra', and to al-Hasan and al-Husain,

عَلَیْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ الْغَرِیْبُ الْمُوَاسِیْ

`alayhimu alssalamu alghariybu almuwasi

peace be upon them – O stranger, O consoling companion.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ جَاهَدْتَ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ

ashhadu annaka jahadta fi sabili allahi

I bear witness that you strove in the way of Allah,

وَنَصَرْتَ الْحُسَیْنَ ابْنَ بِنْتِ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ

wa nasarta alhusayna bna binti rasuli allahi

and you supported al-Husain, the son of the daughter of the Messenger of Allah,

وَوَاسَیْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ وَبَذَلْتَ مُهْجَتَكَ

wa wasayta binafsika wa badhalta muhjataka

and you stood by him with your own self and gave up your very life-blood,

فَعَلَیْكَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ التَّامُّ

fa`alayka mina allahi alssalamu alttammu

so upon you be the complete peace from Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّهَا الْقَمَرُ الزَّاهِرُ

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alqamaru alzzahiru

Peace be upon you, O radiant moon,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا حَبِیْبَ ابْنَ مُظَاهِرِ الْاَسَدِیْ

alssalamu `alayka ya habiba bna muzahiri al-asadi

peace be upon you, O Habib the son of Muzahir al-Asadi,

وَرَحْمَۃُ اللّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ۔

wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
