Ziyarate Imam Hasan Askari (a.s.)

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا مَوْلاَیَ یَا حَسَنَ ابْنَ عَلِیِّ الْهَادِیَ الْمُهْتَدِیَ

alssalamu `alayka ya mawlaya ya hasana bna `aliyyi alhadiya almuhtadiya

Peace be upon you, O my Master, O Hasan the son of `Ali, the guide and well-guided,

وَرَحْمَۃُ اللّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ

wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا حُجَّۃً اللّٰهِ وَابْنَ حُجَّتِهٖ

alssalamu `alayka ya hujjata allahi wabna hujjatihi

Peace be upon you, O Argument of Allah and son of His Argument.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا صَفِیَّ اللّٰهِ وَابْنَ اَصْفِیَائِهٖ

alssalamu `alayka ya safiyya allahi wabna asfiya'ihi

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s elite and son of Allah’s elite ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا خَلِیْفَۃَ اللّٰهِ وَابْنَ خُلَفَائِهٖ وَاَبَا خَلِیْفَتِهٖ

alssalamu `alayka ya khalifata allahi wabna khulafa'ihi wa aba khalifatihi

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s representative, son of Allah’s representatives, and father of His representative.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ خَاتِمَ النَّبِیِّیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka yabna khatami alnnabiyyina

Peace be upon you, O son of the Seal of the Prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ سَیِّدِ الْوَصِیِّیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka yabna sayyidi alwasiyyina

Peace be upon you, O son of the chief of the Prophets’ successors.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ اَمِیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka yabna amiri almu'minina

Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ سَیِّدَۃِ نِسَائِ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka yabna sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina

Peace be upon you, O son of the doyenne of all women of the world.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ الْاَئِمَّۃِ الْهَادِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka yabna al-a'immati alhadina

Peace be upon you, O son of the guiding leaders.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ الْاَوْصِیَائِ الرَّاشِدِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka yabna al-awsiya'i alrrashidina

Peace be upon you, O son of the orthodox successors (of the Prophets).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَصْمَۃَ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka ya `ismata almuttaqina

Peace be upon you, O shelter of the pious ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اِمَامَ الْفَائِزِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka ya imama alfa'izina

Peace be upon you, O leader of the winning party.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا رُكْنَ الْمُؤمِنِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka ya rukna almu'minina

Peace be upon you, O haven of the (true) believers.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا فَرَجَ الْمَلْهُوْفِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka ya faraja almalhufina

Peace be upon you, O relief of the aggrieved ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ الْاَنْبِیَائِ الْمُنْتَجِبِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha al-anbiya'i almuntajabina

Peace be upon you, O heir of the Prophets: the choice ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا خَازِنَ عِلْمِ وَصِیِّ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ

alssalamu `alayka ya khazina `ilmi wasiyyi rasuli allahi

Peace be upon you, O keeper of the knowledge of the successor of Allah’s Messenger.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا دَاعِیْ بِحُكْمِ اللّٰهِ

alssalamu `alayka ya da`i bihukmi allahi

Peace be upon you, O he who invites to the judgment of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّهَا النَّاطِقُ بِكِتَابِ اللّٰهِ

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alnnatiqu bikitabi allahi

Peace be upon you, O he who speaks with the Book of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا حُجَّۃَ الْحَجَجِ

alssalamu `alayka ya hujjata alhujaji

Peace be upon you, O prime Argument of all the arguments (of Allah).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا هَادِیَ الْاُمَمِ

alssalamu `alayka ya hadiya al-umami

Peace be upon you, O guide of all nations.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَلِیَّ النِّعَمِ

alssalamu `alayka ya waliyya alnni`ami

Peace be upon you, O source of all bounties.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَیْبَۃَ الْعِلْمِ

alssalamu `alayka ya `aybata al`ilmi

Peace be upon you, O store of knowledge.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَفِیْنَۃَ الْحِلْمِ

alssalamu `alayka ya safinata alhilmi

Peace be upon you, O ark of forbearance.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اَبَاالْاِمَامِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ

alssalamu `alayka ya aba al-imami almuntazari

Peace be upon you, O father of the Awaited Imam:

الظَّاهِرَۃُ لِلْعَاقِلِ حُجَّتُهٗ

alzzahirati lil`aqili hujjatuhu

whose claim is evident for the rational people,

وَالثَّابِتَۃُ فِیْ الْیَقِیْنِ مَعْرِفَتُهٗ

walththabitati fi alyaqini ma`rifatuhu

whose recognition is fixed in the most certain things.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَیْهِ اَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلیٰ اَحَدٍ

allahumma salli `alayhi afdala ma sallayta `ala ahadin

O Allah, send blessings upon him – the best of what You have sent upon anyone

مِنْ اَصْفِیَائِكَ وَحُجَجِكَ وَاَوْلِیَائِكَ

min asfiya'ika wa hujajika wa awliya'ika

of Your elite ones, Your arguments, and Your intimate friends,

وَذُرِّیَّتِ رُسُلِكَ وَاَنْبِیَائِكَ

wa dhurriyyati rusulika wa anbiya'ika

and the progeny of Your messengers and Your prophets.

اٰمِیْنَ یَا رَبَّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ۔

amina ya rabba al`alamina

Amen, O Lord of the worlds.
