Ziyarate Imam Hasan (a.s.)

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا بِقِیَّۃَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَابْنَ اَوَّلِ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ

alssalamu `alayka ya baqiyyata almu'minina wabna awwali almuslimina

Peace be upon you, O remnant of the believers and son of the first of the Muslims,

وَكَیْفَ لاَ تَكُوْنُ كَذَالِكَ

wa kayfa la takunu kadhalika

and how could you not be so,

وَاَنْتَ سَبِیْلُ الْهُدیٰ وَحَلِیْفُ التُّقیٰ

wa anta sabilu alhuda wa halifu alttuqa

when you are the way of guidance and the ally of piety,

وَاَصْحَابُ الْكِسآئِ

wa ashabu alkisa'i

and (one) of the People of the Cloak.

غَذَّتْكَ یَدُ الرَّحْمَۃِ

ghadhdhatka yadu alrrahmati

The hand of mercy nourished you,

وَرُبِّیْتَ فِیْ حِجْرِ الْاِسْلاَمِ

wa rubbita fi hijri al-islami

you were raised in the lap of Islam,

وَرُضِعْتَ مِنْ ثَدْیِ الْاِیْمَانِ

wa rudi`ta min thadyi al-imani

and you were suckled from the breast of faith.

فَطِبْتَ حَیًّا وَطِبْتَ مَیِّتاً

fatibta hayyan wa tibta mayyitan

So you were good in life, and you are good in death,

غَیْرَ اَنَّ الْاَنْفُسَ غَیْرَ طَیِّبَۃٍ بِفِرَاقِكَ

ghayra anna al-anfusa ghayra tayyibatin bifiraqika

except that our souls are not content with your separation,

وَلاَ شَاكَّۃٍ فِی الْحَیٰوۃِ لَكَ

wa la shakkatin fi alhayati laka

nor doubtful of the (everlasting) life granted to you.

یَرْحَمُكَ اللّٰهُ۔

yarhamuka allahu

May Allah have mercy on you.
