Ziyarat on Thursday

Text and Translation

Imam Hasan al-Askari (a.s.)

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِیَّ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA WALIYYAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O saint of Allah!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ وَ خَالِصَتَهٗ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HUJJATAL LAAHE WA KHAALESATAHU

Peace be upon you, O argument of Allah and His choicest!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اِمَامَ الْمُوْمِنِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA EMAAMAL MOMENEENA

Peace be upon you, O leader of the faithful believers,

وَ وَارِثَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESAL MURSALEENA

inheritor of the messengers,

وَ حُجَّةَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

WA HUJJATA RABBIL A’ALAMEENA

and argument of the Lord of the Worlds!

صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلٰی اٰلِ بَيْتِكَ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

SALLAL LAAHO A’LAYKA WA A’LAA AALE BAYTEKAT TAYYEBEENAT TAAHEREENA

May Allah send peace upon you and upon your Household, the pure and immaculate!

يَا مَوْلَایَ يَا اَبَا مُحَمَّدٍۨ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ

YAA MAWLAAYA YAA ABAA MOHAMMADENIL HASANABNA A’LIYYIN

O Master, O Abu Mohammad, al-Hasan, the son of Ali!

اَنَا مَوْلًی لَكَ وَلِآلِ بَيْتِكَ

ANAA MAWLAN LAKA WA LE AALE BAYTEKA

I am a servant of you and of your Household

وَ هٰذَا يَوْمُكَ وَ هُوَ يَوْمُ الْخَمِيْسِ

WA HAAZAA YAWMOKA WA HOWA YAWMUL KHAMEESE

and today is your day, which is Thursday,

وَ اَنَا ضَيْفُكَ فِيْهِ وَ مُسْتَجِيْرٌ بِكَ فِيْهِ

WA ANAA ZAYFOKA FEEHE WA MUSTAJEERUN BEKA FEEHE

and on this day, I am your guest and in your vicinity;

فَاَحْسِنْ ضِيَافَتِیْ وَ اِجَارَتِیْ

FA-AHSIN ZEYAAFATEE WA EJAARATEE

so, receive me hospitably as your guest and neighbour,

بِحَقِّ اٰلِ بَيْتِكَ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ.

BE-HAQQE AALE BAYTEKAT TAYYEBEENAT TAAHEREENA.

[I ask you] in the name of your Household, the pure and immaculate.
