Ziyarat of Saturday

Text and Translation

Ziyarah of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.)

اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ

ASH-HADO AN LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU

I testify that there is no god save Allah; He is One; there is no associate (partner) with Him.

وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ رَسُوْلُهٗ وَ اَنَّكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ

WA ASH-HADO ANNAKA RASOOLOHU WA ANNAKA MOHAMMADUBNO A’BDIL LAAHE

I testify that you are His Apostle, and you are Mohammad son of Abdullah;

وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالاَتِ رَبِّكَ وَ نَصَحْتَ لِاُمَّتِكَ

WA ASH-HADO ANNAKA QAD BALLAGHTA RESAALAATE RABBEKA WA NASAHTA LEUMMATEKA

and I testify that you had delivered the Message of your Lord, advised and warned your followers (Ummah) like a sincere friend,

وَ جَاهَدْتَ فِیْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَ الْمَوْعِظَة الْحَسَنَةِ

WA JAAHADTA FEE SABEELIL LAAHE BILHIKMATE WAL MAWE’ZATIL HASANATE

and strived, leaving no stone unturned, against heavy odds, in the cause of Allah, with wisdom,

وَ اَدَّيْتَ الَّذِیْ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ

WA ADDAYTAL LAZEE A’LAYKA MENAL HAQQE

and good advice you performed that which were entrusted with by Allah

وَ اَنَّكَ قَدْ رَؤُٔفْتَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ غَلَظْتَ عَلَی الْكَافِرِيْنَ

WA ANNAKA QAD RAOOFTA BILMOMENEENA WA GHALAZTA A’LAL KAAFEREEN

(and) you had been kind and compassionate to the believers, (but) was harsh with the disbelievers,

وَ عَبَدْتَ اللهَ مُخْلِصًا حَتّٰی اَتٰيكَ الْيَقِيْنُ

WA A’BADTAL LAAHA MUKHLESAN HATTAA ATAAKAL YAQEENO

and had sincerely served Allah, till the inevitable (what was certain) came unto you.

فَبَلَغَ اللهُ بِكَ اَشْرَفِ مَحَلِّ الْمُكَرَّمِيْنَ

FABALAGHAL LAAHO BEKA ASHRAFA MAHALLIL MOKARRAMEENA

So Allah made you reach the highest stage of glory and honour.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِیْ اسْتَنْقَذَنَا بِكَ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ وَ الضَّلاَلَةِ

ALHAMDOLIL LAAHIL LAZEES TANQAZANAA BEKA MENASH SHIRKE WAZ ZALAALATE

(All) praise is for Allah (only) who saved us through you from the polytheism and going astray.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHI

O Allah! Send blessings on Mohammad and on his children.

وَ اجْعَلْ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَ صَلَوَاتِ مَلآَئِكَتِكَ

WAJ A’L SALAWAATEKA WA SALAWAATE MALAAEKATEKA

Your blessings, and invocations of Your Angels,

وَ اَنْبِيَائِكَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

WA AMBEYAAEKA WALMURSALEEN WA E’BAADEKAS SAALEHEENA

(of) Your Prophets and Apostles, (of) Your pious servants,

وَ اَهْلِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَ الْاَرَضِيْنَ

WA AHLIS SAMAAWAATE WAL ARAZEEN

(of) the people of the heavens and the earths,

وَ مَنْ سَبَّحَ لَكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ مِنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ

WA MAN SABBAHA LAKA YAA RABBAL A’ALAMEEN MENAL AWWALEENA WAL AAKHEREEN

and (of) those who glorify You, (O the Lord of the worlds), from among the ancient and the present,

عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُوْلِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ وَ اَمِيْنِكَ

A’LAA MOHAMMADIN A’BDEKA WA RASOOLEKA WA NABIYYEKA WA AMEENEKA

be on Mohammad, Your servant and Apostle Your Prophet Your confidant,

وَ نَجِيِّكَ وَ حَبِيْبِكَ وَ صَفِيِّكَ وَصِفْوَتِكَ وَ خَاصَّتِكَ

WA NAJEEBEKA WA HABEEBEKA WA SAFIYYEKA WA SIFWATEKA WA KHAASSATEKA

Your volunteer, Your intimate friend, sincerely attached to You, purified by You, Your favorite,

وَ خَالِصَتِكَ وَ خِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

WA KHAALESATEKA WA KHEYARATEKA MIN KHALQEKA

the best essence from You, chosen in preference by You from Your creation,

وَ اَعْطِهِ الْفَضْلَ وَ الْفَضِيْلَةَ وَالْوَسِيْلَةَ وَ الدَّرَجَةَ الرَّفِيْعَةَ

WA AA’TEHIL FAZLA WAL FAZEELATA WAL WASEELATA WADDARAJATAR RAFEEA’TA

and gave him surpassing superiority and eminence in wisdom and character, subtle ways and means, highest stations,

وَ ابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُوْدًا يَّغْبِطُهٗ بِهِ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ وَ الْاٰخِرُوْنَ

WABA’SHO MAQAAMAM MAHMOODANY YAGHBETOHU BEHIL AWWALOONA WAL AAKHEROONA

and put him on the pedestal of (praiseworthy) fame and fortune; found his position enviable the men of old and the men of later time.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَ لَوْ اَنَّهُمْ اِذْ ظَلَمُوْا اَنْفُسَهُمْ

ALLAAHUMMA INNAKA QULTA WA LAW ANNAHUM IZZALAMOO ANFOSAHUM

O Allah. You said: “And if, when they had wronged themselves, they had

جَآئُوْكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوْا اللهَ وَ اسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ

JAAAOOO-KA FASTAGHFARUL LAAHA WASTAGHFARA LAHOMUR RASOOLO

but come unto you and asked forgiveness of Allah, and asked forgiveness of the Apostle,

لَوَجَدُوْا اللهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيْمًا

LAWAJADUL LAAHA TAWWAABAR RAHEEMAN

they would have found Allah Forgiving, Merciful.”

اِلٰهِیْ فَقَدْ اَتَيْتُ نَبِيَّكَ مُسْتَغْفِرًا

ELAAHI FAQAD ATAYTO NABIYYAKA MUSTAGHFERAN

O my Allah, therefore I turn repentant to Your Prophet (s.a.),

تَآئِباً مِنْ ذُنُوْبِیْ فَصَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ

TAAEBAN MIN ZONOOBEE FASALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALEHI

asking pardon for my sins, (so send blessings on Mohammad and on his children),

وَ اغْفِرْ هَالِیْ يَا سَيِّدَنَا اَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ

WAGH FIR HAALEE YAA SAYYEDANAA ATAWAJJAHO BEKA

and he kind to me. O our chief direct yourself,

وَ بِاَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ اِلَی اللهِ تَعَالٰی رَبِّكَ وَ رَبِّیْ لِيَغْفِرَ لِیْ

WA BEAHLEBAYTEKA ELAL LAAHE TA-A’ALAA RABBEKA WA RABBEE LEYAGHFERA LEE

and your household towards the Most praised Allah, Your Lord and my Lord, in the matter of my request for forgiveness.

Say 3 times:
