Ziyarat of Janabe Ummul Baneen (s.a.)

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا زَوْجَةَ وَلِىِّ اللهِ

alssalamu `alayki ya zawjata waliyyi allahi

Peace be upon you, O wife of the intimate servant of Allah,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا زَوْجَةَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

alssalamu `alayki ya zawjata amiri almu'minina

peace be upon you, O wife of the Commander of the Faithful,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا اُمَّ الْبَنِيْنَ

alssalamu `alayki ya umma albanina

peace be upon you, O mother of al-Banin (the sons),

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا اُمَّ الْعَبَّاسِ ابْنِ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

alssalamu `alayki ya umma al`abbasi bni amiri almu'minina

peace be upon you, O mother of al-`Abbas, son of the Commander of the Faithful,

عَلِىِّ بْنِ اَبِىْ طَالِبٍ

`aliyyi bni abi talibin

`Ali the son of Abu Talib –

رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَنْكِ

radiya allahu ta`ala `anki

may Allah, the Exalted, be pleased with you,

وَجَعَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْزِلَكِ وَمَاْوٰيكِ

wa ja`ala aljannata manzilaki wa ma'waki

and may He make Paradise your abode and dwelling,

وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ

wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
