Ziyarat-e-Imam-e-Zamana (a.t.f.s.)

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ

alssalamu `alayka ya sahiba alzzamani

Peace be upon you, O Master of the Age,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا خَلِیْفَۃَ الرَّحْمٰنِ

alssalamu `alayka ya khalifata alrrahmani

peace be upon you, O vicegerent of the All-Merciful,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا شَرِیْكَ الْقُرْآنِ

alssalamu `alayka ya sharika alqur'ani

peace be upon you, O companion of the Qur'an,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اِمَامَ الْاِنْسِ وَالْجَانِّ

alssalamu `alayka ya imama al-insi waljanni

peace be upon you, O Imam of mankind and jinn.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلیٰ بَقِیَّۃِ اللّٰهِ فِیْ بِلاَدِهٖ

alssalamu `ala baqiyyati allahi fi biladihi

Peace be upon Allah's remnant on His earth,

وَحُجَّتِهٖ عَلیٰ عِبَادِهِ

wa hujjatihi `ala `ibadihi

and His Argument over His servants,

الْمُنْتَهیٰ اِلَیْهِ مَوَارِیْثُ الْاَنْبِیَائِ

almuntaha ilayhi mawarithu al-anbiya'i

to whom the inheritances of the prophets have culminated,

وَلَدَیْهِ مَوْجُوْدٌ اٰثَارُ الْاَصْفِیَائِ

wa ladayhi mawjudun atharu al-asfiya'i

and with whom are found the traces of the chosen ones,

الْمْتَمَنِ عَلَی السِّرِّ وَلْوَلِیُّ لِلْاَمْرِ

almu'tamani `ala alssirri walwaliyyu lil-amri

the one entrusted with the secret, and the guardian in charge of the affair.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَی الْمَهْدِیِّ الَّذِیْنَ وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ عَزَّوَ جَلَّ

alssalamu `ala almahdiyyi alladhi wa`ada allahu `azza wa jalla

Peace be upon al-Mahdi, whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, promised

بِهِ الْاُمَمَ

bihi al-umama

the nations

اَنْ یَّجْمَعَ بِهِ الْكَلِمَ

an yajma`a bihi alkalima

that through him He would unite the (scattered) word,

وَیَلُّمَّ بِهِ الشّعَثَ

wa yaluma bihi alshsha`atha

and mend through him the disarray,

وَیَمْلاَئَ بِهِ الْاَرْضَ قِسْطاً وَعَدْلاً

wa yamla'a bihi al-arda qistan wa`adlan

and fill the earth through him with fairness and justice,

وَیُمَكِّنَ لَهٗ

wa yumakkina lahu

and establish him firmly,

وَیُنْجِزَبِهٖ وَعْدَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ

wa yunjiza bihi wa`da almu'minina

and fulfill through him the promise made to the believers.

اَشْهَدُ یَا مَوْلاَیَ اَنَّكَ وَالْاَئِمَّۃُ مِنْ اٰبَائِكَ اَئِمَّتِیْ وَمَوَالِیَّ

ashhadu ya mawlaya annaka wal-a'immatu min aba'ika a'immati wa mawaliyya

I bear witness, O my master, that you and the Imams among your forefathers are my Imams and my masters,

فِیْ الْحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنْیَا وَیَوْمَ الْاَشْهَادِ

fi alhayati alddunya wa yawma al-ashhadi

in this worldly life and on the Day of Witnessing.

اَسْئَلُكَ یَا مَوْلاَیَ اَنْ تَسْئَلَ اللّٰهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالیٰ

as'aluka ya mawlaya an tas'ala allaha tabaraka wa ta`ala

I ask you, O my master, to ask Allah, Blessed and Exalted,

فِیْ صَلاَحَ شَانِیْ

fi salahi sha'ni

for the betterment of my affairs,

وَقَضَائِ حَوَائِجِیْ

wa qada'i hawa'iji

and the fulfillment of my needs,

وَغُفْرَانِ ذُنُوْبِیْ

wa ghufrani dhunubi

and the forgiveness of my sins,

وَالْاَخْذِ بِیَدِیْ فِیْ دِیْنِیْ

wal-akhdhi biyadi fi dini

and to take me by the hand in my religion,

وَدُنْیَایَ وَاٰخِرَتِیْ

wa dunyaya wa akhirati

and my worldly life and my Hereafter,

لِیْ وَلِاِخْوَانِیْ وَاَخَوَانِیَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ كَآفَّۃً

li wali-ikhwani wa akhawatiya almu'minina walmu'minati kaffatan

for me, and for my brothers and sisters among the believing men and women, all of them;

اِنَّهٗ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمِ۔

innahu ghafurun rahimun

indeed He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
