Ziyarat e Hazrat Rasul e Khuda

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا رَسُوْلَ اﷲِ وَرَحْمَۃُ اﷲِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ

alssalamu `alayka ya rasula allahi wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَامُحَمَّدُ ابْنَ عَبْدِ اﷲِ

alssalamu `alayka ya muhammadu bna `abdi allahi

Peace be upon you, O Muhammad, son of `Abdullah,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا خِیَرَۃَ اﷲِ

alssalamu `alayka ya khiyarata allahi

peace be upon you, O the chosen one of Allah,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا حَبِیْبَ اﷲِ

alssalamu `alayka ya habiba allahi

peace be upon you, O the beloved of Allah,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا صَفْوَۃَ اﷲِ

alssalamu `alayka ya safwata allahi

peace be upon you, O the pure elite of Allah,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَااَمِیْنَ اﷲِ

alssalamu `alayka ya amina allahi

peace be upon you, O the trustee of Allah.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ رَسُوْلُ اﷲِ

ashhadu annaka rasulu allahi

I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah,

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اﷲِ

wa ashhadu annaka muhammadu bnu `abdi allahi

and I bear witness that you are Muhammad, the son of `Abdullah,

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْنَصَحْتَ لِاَمَّتِكَ

wa ashhadu annaka qad nasahta li'ummatika

and I bear witness that you sincerely advised your nation,

وَجَاهَدْتَ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ رَبِّكَ

wa jahadta fi sabili rabbika

and you strove in the way of your Lord,

وَعَبَدْتَّهٗ حَتّٰی اَتَاكَ الْیَقِیْنُ

wa `abadtahu hatta ataka alyaqinu

and you worshipped Him until certainty (death) came to you;

فَجَزَاكَ اﷲُ یَا رَسُوْلَ اﷲِ اَفْضَلَ مَا جَزیٰ نَبِیًّا عَنْ اُمَّتِهٖ۔

fajazaka allahu ya rasula allahi afdala ma jaza nabiyyan `an ummatihi

so may Allah reward you, O Messenger of Allah, with the best reward He has ever given a Prophet on behalf of his nation.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلیٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

كَاَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلیٰ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ وَاٰلِ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ

ka'afdali ma sallayta `ala ibrahima wa ali ibrahima

the best of what You sent upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim;

اِنَّكَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْدٌ۔

innaka hamidun majidun

indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
