Ziyarat on Tuesday

Text and Translation

Ziyarah of Imam Zayn al-Aabedin (a.s.), Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.) & Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s.)

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا خُزَّانَ عِلْمِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKUM YAA KHUZZAANA I’LMIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Treasurers of Allah's Knowledge.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا تَرَاجِمَةَ وَحْیِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKUM YAA TARAAJEMATA WAHYIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Interpreters of Allah's Revelation.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَئِمَّةَ الْهُدٰی

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKUM YAA A-IMMATAL HODAA

Peace be upon you, O Imams of Guidance.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَعْلاَمَ التُّقٰی

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKUM YAA AA’LAAMAT TOQAA

Peace be upon you, O Banners of Piety.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَوْلَادَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKUM YAA AWLAADA RASOOLIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Sons of the Messenger of Allah.

اَنَا عَارِفٌ بِحَقِّكُمْ

ANAA A’AREFUN BEHAQQEKUM

I am aware of your right,

مُسْتَبْصِرٌ ۢ بِشَانِكُمْ

MUSTABSERUM BESHAANEKUM

discerning of your status,

مُعَادٍ لِاَعْدَآئِكُمْ

MOA’ADIN LEAA’DAAAEKUM

hostile towards your enemies,

مُوَالٍ لِاَوْلِيَائِكُمْ

MOWAALIN LEAWLEYAAAEKUM

and loving towards your friends.

باَبِیْ اَنْتُمْ وَ اُمِّیْ

BEABEE ANTUM WA UMMEE

May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!

صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A’LAYKUM

May the blessings of Allah be upon you.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَتَوَالٰی اٰخِرَهُمْ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE ATAWAALAA AAKHERAHUM

O Allah! I profess allegiance to their last

كَمَا تَوَالَيْتُ اَوَّلَهُمْ

KAMAA TAWAALAYTO AWWALAHUM

just as I professed allegiance to their first,

وَ اَبْرَءُ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيْجَةٍ دُوْنَهُمْ

WA ABRAO MIN KULLE WALEEJATIN DOONAHUM

and I disassociate from every outsider (intruder) besides them,

وَ اَكْفُرُ بِالْجِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوْتِ

WA AKFORO BILJIBTE WAT TAAGHOOTE

and I disbelieve in Jibt and Taghoot,

وَ اللَّاتِ وَ الْعُزّٰی

WAL LAATE WAL UZZAA

and al-Laat and al-Uzzaa (false deities/idols).

صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A’LAYKUM

May the blessings of Allah be upon you,

يَا مَوَالِیَّ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرْكَاتُهٗ

YAA MAWAALIYYA WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU

O my Masters, and the mercy of Allah and His bounties.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SAYYEDAL A’ABEDEENA

Peace be upon you, O Master of the Devout (al-'Ābidīn),

وَ سُلَالَةَ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ

WA SOLAALATAL WASIYYEENA

and the Progeny of the Successors.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَاقِرَ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAAQERA I’LMIN NABIYYEENA

Peace be upon you, O Expounder of the Knowledge of the Prophets

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَادِقًا مُّصَدِّقًا فِی الْقَوْلِ وَ الْفِعْلِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SAADEQAN MOSADDAQAN FIL QAWLE WAL FE’LE

Peace be upon you, O Truthful one, whose word and deed are affirmed.

يَا مَوَالِیَّ هٰذَا يَوْمُكُمْ

YAA MAWAALIYYA HAAZAA YAWMOKUM

O my Masters! This is your day,

وَ هُوْ يَوْمُ الثُّلَاثَآءِ

WA HOWA YAWMUS SOLAASAAA-E

and it is Tuesday,

وَ اَنَا فِيْهِ ضَيْفٌ لَكُمْ

WA ANAA FEEHE ZAYFUN LAKUM

and I am, on this day, a guest with you

وَ مُسْتَجِيْرٌ بِكُمْ

WA MUSTAJEERUN BEKUM

and seeking refuge with you.

فَاَضِيْفُوْنِیْ وَ اَجِيْرُوْنِیْ
