Tuesday - Ziyarah of Imam Zayn al Abidin, Imam Muhammad al Baqir & Imam Jafar al Sadiq (a)

Text and Translation

This day is dedicated to the Imams Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-'Abidin, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir, and Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq - peace be upon them all. Their Ziyarah on Tuesdays is as follows:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا خُزَّانَ عِلْمِ اللّٰهِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا تَرَاجِمَةَ وَحْيِ اللّٰهِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَئِمَّةَ الْهُدٰى اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَعْلَامَ التُّقٰى اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَوْلَادَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ اَنَا عَارِفٌ بِحَقِّكُمْ مُسْتَبْصِرٌ بِشَأْنِكُمْ مُعَادٍ لِاَعْدَاۤئِكُمْ مُوَالٍ لِاَوْلِيَاۤئِكُمْ بِاَبِيْ اَنْتُمْ وَ اُمِّيْ صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَتَوَالٰى اٰخِرَهُمْ كَمَا تَوَالَيْتُ اَوَّلَهُمْ وَ اَبْرَاُ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيْجَةٍ دُوْنَهُمْ وَ اَكْفُرُ بِالْجِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوْتِ وَ اللَّاتِ وَ الْعُزّٰى صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَوَالِيَّ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ وَ سُلَالَةَ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَاقِرَ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَادِقًا مُصَدَّقًا فِي الْقَوْلِ وَ الْفِعْلِ يَا مَوَالِيَّ هٰذَا يَوْمُكُمْ وَ هُوَ يَوْمُ الثُّلَاثَاۤءِ وَ اَنَا فِيْهِ ضَيْفٌ لَكُمْ وَ مُسْتَجِيْرٌ بِكُمْ فَاَضِيْفُوْنِيْ وَ اَجِيْرُوْنِيْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ اللّٰهِ عِنْدَكُمْ وَ اٰلِ بَيْتِكُمْ اَلطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ۔

ASSALAAMU A'LAYKUM YAA KHUZZAANA I'LMIL LAAH, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKUM YAA TARAAJIMATA WAHYIL LAAH, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKUM YAA A-IMMATAL HUDAA, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKUM YAA A'ALAAMAT TUQAA, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKUM YAA AWLAADA RASOOLIL LAAH, ANAA A'AARIFUM BI-HAQQIKUM MUSTABSIRUM BI-SHA'NIKUM MU-A'ADIL LI-A'DAAA-IKUM MUWAALIL LI-AWLIYAAA-IKUM, BI-ABEE ANTUM WA UMMEE, SALAWAATUL LAAHI A'LAYKUM, ALLAAHUMMA INNEE ATAWAALAA AAKHIRAHUM KAMAA TAWAALAYTU AWWALAHUM, WA ABRAA-U MIN KULLI WALEEJATIN DOONAHUM, WA AKFURU BIL JIBTI WAT TAAGHOOTI WAL LAATI WAL U'ZZAA, SALAWAATUL LAAHI A'LAYKUM YAA MAWAALIYYA WA RAHMATUL LAAHI WA BARAKAATUH, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA SAYYIDAL A'ABIDEENA WA SULAALATAL WASIYYEEN, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA BAAQIRA I'LMIN NABIYYEEN, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA SAADIQAM MUSADDAQAN FIL QAWLI WAL FI'L, YAA MAWAALIYYA HAAZAA YAWMUKUM WA HUWA YAWMUTH THULAATHAAA-I WA ANAA FEEHI DAYFUL LAKUM WA MUSTAJEERUM BIKUM, FA-ADEEFOONEE WA AJEEROONEE BI-MANZILATIL LAAHI I'NDAKUM WA AALI BAYTIKUMUT TAYYIBEENAT TAAHIREEN.

Peace be on you, O depositories of Allah's knowledge! Peace be on you, O interpreters of Allah's Revelation! Peace be on you, O leaders to true guidance! Peace be on you, O signs of piety! Peace be on you, O descendants of Allah's Messenger! I recognize your rights, I discernibly acknowledge your true standing, I incur the hostility of your enemies, and I show loyalty to your loyalists. May Allah accept me, my father, and mother as ransoms for you! Blessings of Allah be upon you. O Allah, I am willingly showing loyalty to the last of them just as I have shown loyalty to the first of them, I release myself from any confidant other than them, and I reject all idols, false deities, al-Lat, and al-'Uzza. Blessings of Allah be upon you, O my Masters! Mercy of Allah and His benedictions be upon you, too. Peace be upon you, O master of the worshippers and descendant of the Prophets' successors. Peace be upon you, O he who split open the knowledge of the Prophets. Peace be upon you, O veracious and honest in all your words and deeds. O my Masters! Today is your day, which is Tuesday, and on this day I am your guest and I am in your vicinity; so receive me as your guest and treat me as your neighbor, by Allah's standing with you and with your Household, the pure and immaculate.
