Taweez against Thieves

Text and Translation

To protect your house against theft, it is recommended to recite the following holy verses on the handle and the lock of the door of your house:

قُلِ ادْعُوْا اللهَ اَوِ ادْعُوْا الرَّحْمَـٰنَ ۖ اَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُوْا فَلَهُ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَالِكَ سَبِيْلًا وَّقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَّلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ شَرِيْكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ وَلِيٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ ۖ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيْرًا.

QULID'UL LAAHA AWID'UR RAHMAANA AYYAN MAA TAD'OO FALAHUL ASMAA-UL HUSNAA WALAA TAJHAR BISALAATIKA WALAA TUKHAAFIT BIHAA WABTAGHI BAYNA ZAALIKA SABEELAN WAQULIL HAMDU LILLAAHIL LAZEE LAM YATTAKHIZ WALADAN WALAM YAKUN LAHOO SHAREEKUN FIL MULKI WALAM YAKUN LAHOO WALIYYUN MINAZ ZULLI WAKABBIRHU TAKBEERAA.

Say: Call upon Allah or call upon the Beneficent; whichever you call upon, His are the most excellent names. And do not utter your prayer too loudly nor be silent in it, but seek a way between these. And say: All praise be to Allah, Who has not taken a son, and Who has no partner in the kingdom, and Who has no helper to save Him from disgrace; and proclaim His greatness, magnifying (Him).
