Text and Translation

Those who suffer from Satan's evil insinuations are advised to pray for Almighty Allah's protection and say the following:

اٰمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَ بِرَسُوْلِهٖ مُخْلِصًا لَهُ الدِّيْنَ۔

AAMANTU BILLAAHI WA BI-RASOOLIHI MUKHLISAL LAHUD DEEN.

I believe in Allah and His Messenger, sincere to Him in religion.

Shaykh al-Shahid has quoted the Holy Prophet (s) as saying: There are two kinds of devils. The jinn devils can be dispelled by this saying:

لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ۔

LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL A'LIYYIL A'ZEEM.

There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the All-magnificent.

The human devils can be dispelled by invoking Almighty Allah's blessings upon the Holy Prophet and his Household.
