Ta'qeebaat-e-Namaz-e-Fajr

Text and Translation

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الَّذِیْ

It is highly desirable in every salaat after salaam, recite the following without talking to any one or doing anything and remaining in the same position.

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الَّذِیْ

ASTAGHFERUL LAAHAL LAZEE

I seek pardon and protection from Allah Who is

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAA HOWAL HAYYUL QAYYOOMO

“There is no god save He, the Eternal and Self-subsisting,

ذُوْ الْجَلاَلِ وَاْلاِكْرَامِ

ZUL JALAALE WAL IKRAAME

the Owner of glory and generosity”

لِجَمِيْعِ ظُلْمِیْ وَجُرْمِیْ وَاِسْرَافِیْ عَلٰی نَفْسِیْ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ.

LEJAMEE-E’ ZULMEE WA JURMEE WA ISRAAFEE A’LAA NAFSEE WA ATOOBO ELAYHE.

with reference to all my injustices, crimes and transgressions which I have committed; and I turn repentant unto Him.

رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَيْتِهٖ.

رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَيْتِهٖ.

RABBE SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AHLE BAYTEHEE.

O Lord, send blessings on Mohammed and on his Ahlul Bayt.

Recite tasbih of Hazrat Faatemah Zahra (s.a.). It is recited after every salaat.

اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ

ALLAAHO AKBAR

Allah is the greatest.

34 times

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ

ALHAMDO LIL LAAHE

Praise be to Allah.

33 times

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ

SUBHAANAL LAAHE

Glory be to Allah.

33 times

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO

There is no god save Allah.

Once

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ

SUBHAANAL LAAHE WAL HAMDO LIL LAAHE

Glory be to Allah. Praise be to Allah.

وَلاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ

WA LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO WAL LAAHO AKBARO

There is no god save Allah. Allah is the greatest.

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِيْمِ.

WA LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL A’LIYYIL A’ZEEME.

There is no stratagem and no power save with Allah, the Supreme Almighty.

مَا شَآءَ اللهُ كَانَ

Recite:

مَا شَآءَ اللهُ كَانَ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِىِّ الْعَظِيْمِ.

MAA SHAA ALLAAHO KAANA WA LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL A’LEE-IL A’ZEEME.

That which Allah wills takes place. There is no stratagem and no power save with Allah, the Supreme Almighty.

Say 70 times keeping the right hand on the chest:

يَا فَتَّاحُ

YA FATTAAHO

O Opener.

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ

Recite:

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ

LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHE

There is no power nor strength (with any) save with Allah.

تَوَكَلْتُ عَلَی الْحَىِّ الْقَيُّوْمِ الَّذِیْ لاَ يَمُوْتُ

TAWAKKALTO A’LAL HAYY-IL QAYYOOMIL LAZEE LAA YAMOOTO

I depend upon the everliving self-subsisting (Lord) who does not die.

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِیْ لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا

WAL HAMDO LILLAAHIL LAZEE LAM YATTAKHIZ WALADAN

Praise be to Allah who has not taken (unto Himself) a son,

وَّلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ شَرِيْكٌ فِیْ الْمُلْكِ

WA LAM YAKUL LAHU SHAREEKUN FIL MULKE

neither He has any partner in the kingdom,

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ وَلِیٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيْرًا

WA LAM YAKUL LAHU WALEE-UM MENAZ ZULLE WA KABBIRHO TAKBEERAN

nor has He any helper out of humility; and proclaim His greatness by extolling (His glory).

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُؤْسِ وَالْفَقْرِ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AO’OZO BEKA MENAL BO’SE WAL FAQRE

O Allah, verily I take refuge with You from distress, grief,

وَمِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَالسُّقْمِ

WA MIN GHALABATID DAYNE WAS SUQME

burden of debt and bad health.

وَاَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُعِيْنَنِیْ عَلٰی اَدَآءِ حَقِّكَ اِلَيْكَ وَاِلَی النَّاسِ.

WA AS-ALOKA AN TO-E’ENANEE A’LAA ADAAE HAQQEKA ELAYKA WA ELAN NAASE.

I beseech You to please help me in discharging my duties to You and to mankind.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

As quoted from Misbah al-Mutahajjid

Subsequent to the dawn (fajr) Prayer, say the following supplicatory prayer, as quoted from Misbah al-Mutahajjid:

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

O Allah! Send blessings on Mohammed and the progeny of Mohammed

وَاهْدِنِیْ لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيْهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِاِذْنِكَ

WAH-DENEE LEMAKH TOLEFA FEEHE MENAL HAQQE BE-IZNEKA

and show me the way out of the controversial quarrel unto the truth by Your permission.

اِنَّكَ تَهْدِیْ مَنْ تَشَآءُ اِلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ.

INNAKA TAHDEE MAN TASHAAA-O ELAA SERAATIM MUSTAQEEMIN.

Verily You guide whomsoever You want unto the right path.

Again, repeat the following invocation ten times:

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMEDIN WA AALE MOHAMMEDENIL

O Allah! Bless Mohammed and the children of Mohammed,

اْلاَوْصِيَاءِ الرَّاضِيْنَ الْمَرْضِيِّيْنَ بِاَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِكَ

AWSEYAAA-IR RAAZEENAL MARZIYYEENA BE-AFZALE SALAWAATEKA

with Your superior-most blessings,

وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِاَفْضَلِ بَرَكَاتِكَ

WA BAARIK A’LAIHIM BE AFZALE BARAKAATEKA

and endow them with Your excellent endowments,

وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلٰی اَرْوَاحِهِمْ

WAS SALAAMO A’LAYHIM WA A’LAA ARWAAHEHIM

and rest them along with their bodies

وَاَجْسَادِهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.

WA AJSAADEHIM WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU.

and souls in peace and tranquility. Mercy and blessings of Allah be on them.

This invocation of God’s blessings upon the Holy Prophet and his Household has been also reported to be said on Fridays with a great reward.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَحْيِنِىْ عَلٰى مَا اَحْيَيْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَلِىَّ بْنَ اَبِىْ طَالِبٍ

ALLAAHUMMA AHYENEE A’LAA MAA AHYAYTA A’LAYHE A’LIYYABNA ABEE TAALEBIN

O Allah keep me alive in the same style and manner Ali ibn Abi Talib had lived

وَاَمِتْنِىْ عَلٰى مَا مَاتَ عَلَيْهِ عَلِىَّ بْنَ اَبِىْ طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ

WA AMITNEE A’LAA MAA MAATA A’LAYHE A’LIYYABNA ABEE TAALEBIN A’LAYHIS SALAAMO

and make me die exactly like Ali Ibn Abi Talib had departed, peace be on him.

Also, repeat each of the following statements one hundred times:

(a)

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

ASHTAGHFERUL LAAHA WA ATOOBO ELAYHE.

I ask forgiveness of Allah and I turn repentant unto Him.

(b)

اَسْئَلُ اللهَ الْعَافِيَةَ

AS-ALUL LAAHAL A’AFEYATA.

I beseech Allah for welfare.

(c)

اَسْتَجِيْرُ بِاللهِ مِنَ النَّارِ.

ASTAJEERO BILLAAHE MENAN NAARE.

I seek refuge with Allah from the fire.

(d)

اَسْئَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ

AS-ALOHUL JANNATA.

I ask Him for the paradise.

(e)

اَسْئَلُ اللهَ الْحُوْرَ الْعِيْنَ

AS ALUL LAAHAL HOORAL E’ENA

I invoke Allah for a pious and beautiful spouse.

(f)

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِيْنُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHUL MALEKUL HAQQUL MUBEENO.

There is no god save Allah, the true and evident sovereign.

(i) Every hardship that afflicts you in this world will be made easy with the help of Allah, and He shall make light your burden on the day of judgment.

(ii) You will remain safe from the oppression of the tyrants.

(iii) Your belief in Allah shall not weaken in whatever manner Satan tries to lure you to the life of sin.

يَا مَالِكَ الرِّقَابِ

Imam Hasan bin Ali al-Askari (a.s.) advised the faithful to pray the (following) dua’ after Farj salaat:

Recite 4 Quls then recite this dua’:

يَا مَالِكَ الرِّقَابِ وَيَا هَازِمَ اْلاَحْزَابِ

YAA MAALEKAR REQAABE WA YAA HAAZEMAL AHZAABE

O the master of slaves, O the annihilator of armies,

يَا مُفَتِّحَ اْلاَبْوَابِ يَا مُسَبِّبَ اْلاَسْبَابِ

YAA MOFATTEHAL ABWAABE YA MOSABBEBAL ASBAABE

O He who opens the doors (of opportunities), O the causer of causes,

سَبِّبْ لَنَا... سَبَبًا لاَ نَسْتَطِيْعُ لَهٗ طَلَبًا

SABBIB LANA… (mention desires) SABABAN LAA NASTATEE-O’ LAHU TALABAN

originate a basis for us… (mention desires) which we may not make serve us on our own,

بِحَقِّ لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ

BEHAQQE LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO MOHAMMADUR RASOOLUL LAAHE

for the sake of - “There is no god save Allah, and Mohammed is His messenger.” –

صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ اَجْمَعِيْنَ.

SALLAL LAAHO ALAYHE WA AALEHEE AJMA-E’ENA.

blessings of Allah be on him and on all his children.

اَصْبَحْتُ اَللّٰهُمَّ

Recite:

اَصْبَحْتُ اَللّٰهُمَّ مُعْتَصِمًا بِذِمَامِكَ

ASBAHTO ALLAAHUMMA MO’TASEMAN BEZEMAAMEKAL

I begin the day, O Allah, taking refuge under Your out of reach

الْمَنِيْعِ الَّذِیْ لاَ يُطَاوَلُ وَلاَ يُحَاوَلُ

MANEE-I’L LAZEE LAA YOTAAWALO WALAA YOHAAWALO

and safe shelter were neither can harass nor ambush (me the evil of)

مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ غَاشِمٍ وَطَارِقٍ

MIN SHARRE KULLE GHAASHEMIN WA TAAREQIN

any unjust persecutor or preyful assaulter,

مِنْ سَآئِرِ مَنْ خَلَقْتَ وَمَا خَلَقْتَ

MIN SAAA-ERE MAN KHALAQTA WAMAA KHALAQTA

easy to be found, among Your creation,

مِنْ خَلْقِكَ الصَّامِتِ وَالنَّاطِقِ

MIN KHALQEKAS SAAMETE WAN NAATEQE

irrational tongue-tied plotters and articulate brutes seeking false pretexts

فِیْ جُنَّةٍ مِنْ كُلِّ مَخُوْفٍ بِلِبَاسٍ سَابِغَةٍ

FEE JUNNATIN MIN KULLE MAKHOOFIN BELEBAASIN SAABEGHATIN

to commit crimes (against humanity). Clad in armour

وِلآَءِ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحْتَجِبًا مِنْ كُلِّ قَاصِدٍ لِیْ

WELAAE AHLE BAYTE NABEEYEKA MOHTAJEBAN MIN KULLE QAASEDIN LEE

of the love of the Ahlul Bayt of Your Prophet I have been rendered secure against evil schemes,

اِلٰی اَذِيَّةٍ بِجِدَارٍ حَصِيْنٍ

ELAA AZIYYATIN BEJEDAARIN HASEENENIL

walled in and kept within the well-fortified walls erected

اْلاِخْلاَصِ فِیْ اْلاِعْتِرَافِ

IKHLAASE FIL E-A’TERAAFE

on the foundation of sincere heart and soul declaration of their rights

بِحَقِّهِمْ وَالتَّمَسُّكِ بِحَبْلِهِمْ مُوْقِنًا اَنَّ الْحَقَّ لَهُمْ

BEHAQQEHIM WAT TAMASSOKE BEHABLEHIM MOOQENAN ANNAL HAQQA LAHUM

and inseparable attachment to their friendship, knowing for certain that truth belongs to them,

وَمَعَهُمْ وَفِيْهِمْ وَبِهِمْ اُوَالِیْ مَنْ وَالَوْا وَاُجَانِبُ مَنْ جَانَبُوْا

WA MA-A’HUM WA FEEHIM WA BEHIM OWAALEE MAN WAALAW WA OJAANEBO MAN JAANABOO

(it is) along with them in them and around them. Whoso loves them is my friend; I forsake those who drift away from them;

فَاَعِذْنِیْ اَللّٰهُمَّ بِهِمْ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ مَا اَتَّقِيْهِ

FA-AI’ZNEE ALLAAHUMMA BEHIM MIN SHARRE KULLE MAA ATTAQEEHE

so my Allah keep me safe from every evil that threatens me,

يَا عَظِيْمُ حَجَزْتُ اْلاَعَادِیَ عَنِّیْ بِبَدِيْعِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَاْلاَرْضِ

YAA A’ZEEMO HAJAZTUL A-A’AADEYA A’NNEE BEBADEE-I’S SAMAAWAATE WAL A’RZE

O the Almighty come between me and my enemies

اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ اَيْدِيْهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا

INNAA JA-A’LNAA MIN BAYNE AYDEEHIM SADDAN WA MIN KHALFEHIM SADDAN

just as You set up the sky and the earth, and barricade their approach unto us from all sides,

فَاَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُبْصِرُوْنَ.

FA- AGHSHAYNAAHUM FAHUM LAA YUBSEROON.

make them swoon and faint inside the fence so that they do not know what to do.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ الْاِيْمَانَ بِكَ

Recite:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ الْاِيْمَانَ بِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALOKAL EEMAANA BEKA

O Allah, I beseech You to let me have faith in You,

وَالتَّصْدِيْقَ بِنَبِيِّكَ

WAT TASDEEKA BENABIYYEKA

and acknowledge the truthfulness of Your Prophet;

وَالْعَافِيَةِ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْبَلآَءِ

WAL A’AAFEYATE MIN JAMEE-I’L BALAAA-E

(and I beseech You to keep me safe) from all misfortunes;

وَالشُّكْرَ عَلَی الْعَافِيَةِ

WASH SHUKRA A’LAL A’AFEYATE

(and let me) thank You for the welfare,

وَالْغِنٰی عَنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ.

WAL GHENAA A’N SHERAARIN NAASE.

and (enable me) to dispense with the evil of the people.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَاْلاَرْضِ

Recite:

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَاْلاَرْضِ

ALLAHUMMA FAATERAS SAMAAWAATE WAL ARZE

O Allah! The Creator of the heavens and the earth,

عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ

A’ALEMAL GHAYBE WASH SHAHADATIR

knower of the unseen and the seen,

الرَّحْمٰنَ الرَّحِيْمَ اَعْهَدُ اِلَيْكَ فِی هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا

RAHMAANAR RAHEEMA A-A’HADO ELAYKA FEE HAAZEHID DUNYAA

the beneficent, the merciful, I make a covenant in this world

اَنَّكَ اَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اَنْتَ

ANNAKA ANTAL LAAHO LAA ELAAHA ILLAA ANTA

that verily You are Allah, there is no god save You,

وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ

WAHDAKA LAA SHAREEKA LAKA

one, there is no associate with You;

وَاَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِِ وَاٰلِهٖ

WA ANNA MOHAMMADAN SALLAL LAAHO ALAYHE WA AALEHI

and that Mohammed, blessings of Allah be on Him and on his children,

عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُوْلُكَ

A’BDOKA WA RASOOLOKA

is Your servant and messenger.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMA FASALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALEHI

O Allah send blessings on Mohammed and on his children,

وَلاَ تَكِلْنِىْ اِلٰی نَفْسِیْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ اَبَدًا

WA LAA TAKILNEE ELAA NAFSEE TARFATA A’YNIN ABADAN

and do not ever leave me to follow my nafs (desires) even for a flash of an eye,

وَلاَ اِلٰی اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

WA LAA ELAA AHADIM MIN KHALQEKA

nor hand over me to any of Your created beings,

فَاِنَّكَ اِنْ وَكَلْتَنِىْ اِلَيْهَا تُبَاعِدْنِیْ

FA-INNAKA IN WAKALTANEE ELAYHAA TOBAA-I’DNEE

because if You do so it will bring me

مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَتُقَرِّبْنِیْ مِنَ الشَّرِّ

MENAL KHAYRE WA TOQARRIBNEE MENASH SHARRE

near to evil and keep away from good.

يَا رَبِّ لاَ اَثِقُ اِلاَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

YAA RABBE LAA ASEQO ILLAA BERAHMATEKA

O Lord! I do not put trust in anything save Your mercy.

فَصَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهٖ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ

FASALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALEHIT TAYYEBEENA

Then send blessings upon Muhammad and his pure progeny

وَاجْعَلْ لِیْ عِنْدَكَ عَهْدًا تُؤَدِيْهِ اِلَیَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ

WAJ A’L LEE I’NDAKA A’HDAN TO-ADEEHE ELAYYA YAWMAL QEYAAMATE

So I deposit my covenant with You to use it on the day of judgment.

اِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ.

INNAKA LAA TUKHLEFUL MEE-A’ADA.

Verily You do not break promise.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

Recite the following dua’ (known as the dua’ of Imam Ja’far bin Mohammed al-Sadiq [a.s.]) 25 times.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ.

ALLAAHUM MAGHFIR LIL-MOAMENEENA WAL MOAMENAATE WAL MUSLEMEENA WAL MUSLEMAATE.

O Allah, forgive all believing men and believing women, and all Muslim men and Muslim women.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ

Recite:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْكَ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALOKA BEHAQQE MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMADIN A’LAYKA

O Allah! I beseech You in the name of the rights, Mohammed and his children have with You,

صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

to send blessings on Mohammed and on the children of Mohammed

وَاجْعَلِ النُّوْرَ فِیْ بَصَرِیْ وَالْبَصِيْرَةَ فِیْ دِيْنِیْ

WAJ A’LIN NOORA FEE BASAREE WAL BASEERATA FEE DEENEE

and let me see and recognize (the truth), (let me) have deep insight of my religion,

وَالْيَقِيْنَ فِیْ قَلْبِیْ وَاْلاِخْلاَصَ فِیْ عَمَلِیْ

WAL YAQEENA FEE QALBEE WAL IKHLAASA FEE A’MALAEE

certainty in my heart, sincerity in my deeds,

وَالسَّلاَمَةَ فِیْ نَفْسِیْ وَالسَّعَةَ فِیْ رِزْقِیْ

WAS SALAAMATA FEE NAFSEE WAS SA-A’TA FEE RIZQEE

well-being of myself, enough livelihood,

وَالشُّكْرَ لَكَ اَبَدًا مَّا اَبْقَيْتَنِیْ.

WASH SHUKRA LAKA ABADAM MAA ABQAYTANEE.

and let me thank You always till the end of my life.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْجَلِيْلُ الْجَبَّارُ

Zayn al-Muttaqin says that the following multipurpose dua’ was brought by Jibraeel (a.s.) to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and said:

Whoever prays it after Fajr salaat and also keeps it on the body as ta’weez receive the following benefits:

(i) Protection from death by accident;

(ii) Exemption from the questioning by munkar and nakir in the grave;

(iii) Relief from the fright of abandonment and melancholy in the grave;

(iv) Diseases will be cured;

(v) Safety from oppression and exploitation;

(vi) The eight gates of heaven will be thrown open for those who pray this dua’.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْجَلِيْلُ الْجَبَّارُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHUL JALEELUL JABBAARO

There is no god save Allah, the Glorious, the Supreme.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْعَزِيْزُ الْغَفَّارُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHUL A’ZEEZUL GHAFFAARO

There is no god save Allah, the Mighty, the Oft-forgiving.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHUL WAAHEDUL QAHHAARO

There is no god save Allah, the One, the Dominating.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU

There is no god save Allah, the Single Who has no associate,

اِلٰهًا وَّاحِدًا وَّنَحْنُ لَهٗ مُسْلِمُوْنَ

ELAAHAN WAAHEDAN WA NAHNO LAHU MUSLEMOONA

the only God, we surrender ourselves to His will.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU

There is no god save Allah, the Single, Who has no associate,

اِلٰهًا وَّاحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهٗ مُخْلِصُوْنَ

ELAAHAN WAAHEDAN WA NAHNO LAHU MUKHLESOONA

and to Him we are sincere.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU

There is no god save Allah,

اِلٰهًا وَّاحِدًا وَّنَحْنُ لَهٗ عَابِدُوْنَ

ELAAHAN WAAHEDAN WA NAHNO LAHU A’ABEDOONA

the Single, Who has no associate, and we worship Him.

لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO MOHAMMADUR RASOOLUL LAAHE

There is no god save Allah, Mohammed is the messenger of Allah,

عَلِیٌّ وَلِیُّ اللهِ وَصَلَّی اللهُ عَلٰی خَيْرِ خَلْقِهٖ

A’LIYYUN WALIYYUL LAAHE WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA KHAYRE KHALQEHI

Ali is the vicegerent of Allah. Blessings of Allah be on His best creation,

وَمَظْهَرِ لُطْفِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ اَجْمَعِيْنَ

WA MAZHARE LUTFEHI MOHAMMADIN WA AALEHI AJMA-E’ENAT

the manifestation of His pleasure, Mohammed, and all his pure,

الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

TAYYEBEENAT TAAHEREENA BERAHMATEKA YAA ARHAMAR RAAHEMEEN

pious and clean children, on account of Your mercy, O the most merciful.

حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلٰی وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيْرُ.

HASBONAL LAAHO WA NE’MAL WAKEELO NE’MAL MAWLAA WA NE’MAN NASEERO.

Allah is sufficient for us, He is the best supporter, the best master, the best helper.

Then Recite

1) Surah Qadr 10 times.

2) Surah YaaSeen.

3) Surah Ikhlaas 100 times.
