Many supplications have been reported from the Holy Prophet and the Holy Imams (a.s.) to be said at sunrise and sunset.
Text and Translation
The following supplication is reported to be said at sunrise and sunset:
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَ لَا يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ غَيْرُهٗ
AL-HAMDU LILLAAHIL LAZEE YAF'ALU MAA YASHAAA'U WA LAA YAF'ALU MAA YASHAAA'U GHAYRUH
All praise is due to Allah Who does whatever He wills, and none besides Him can do whatever he wills.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ كَمَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُّحْمَدَ
AL-HAMDU LILLAAHI KAMAA YUHIBBULLAAHU AY YUHMAD
All praise is due to Allah as Allah loves to be praised.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ كَمَا هُوَ اَهْلُهٗ
AL-HAMDU LILLAAHI KAMAA HUWA AHLUH
All praise is due to Allah as He deserves.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَدْخِلْنِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَدْخَلْتَ فِيْهِ مُحَمَّدًا وَّ اٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ
ALLAAHUMMA ADKHILNEE FEE KULLI KHAYRIN ADKHALTA FEEHI MUHAMMADAN WA AALA MUHAMMAD
O Allah, include me in every good in which You have included Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
وَ اَخْرِجْنِيْ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوْٓءٍ اَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَّ اٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
WA AKHRIJNEE MIN KULLI SOOO'IN AKHRAJTA MINHU MUHAMMADAN WA AALA MUHAMMAD, SALLALLAAHU A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALI MUHAMMAD
and take me out of every evil from which You have taken out Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad — blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
