Salawat upon The Awaited Imam

Text and Translation

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى وَلِيِّكَ وَ ابْنِ اَوْلِيَاۤئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ فَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهُمْ وَ اَوْجَبْتَ حَقَّهُمْ وَ اَذْهَبْتَ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَ طَهَّرْتَهُمْ تَطْهِيْرًا

ALLAAHUMMA SALLI A'LAA WALIYYIKA WABNI AWLIYAAA-IKAL LAZEENA FARADTA TAA-A'TAHUM WA AWJABTA HAQQAHUM WA AZHABTA A'NHUMUR RIJSA WA TAHHARTAHUM TATHEERAA

O Allah, bless Your representative, son of Your representatives, whose obedience You have made obligatory, whose right You have made incumbent, from whom You have removed impurity, and whom You have purified with a thorough purification.

اَللّٰهُمَّ انْصُرْهُ وَ انْتَصِرْ بِهِ لِدِيْنِكَ وَ انْصُرْ بِهِ اَوْلِيَاۤءَكَ وَ اَوْلِيَاۤءَهُ وَ شِيْعَتَهُ وَ اَنْصَارَهُ وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ

ALLAAHUMMAN SURHU WANTASIR BIHI LI-DEENIKA WANSUR BIHI AWLIYAAA-AKA WA AWLIYAAA-AHU WA SHEE-A'TAHU WA ANSAARAHU WAJ-A'LNAA MINHUM

O Allah, grant him victory, and by him grant victory to Your religion, and by him grant victory to Your friends, his friends, his followers, and his helpers, and count us among them.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعِذْهُ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ بَاغٍ وَ طَاغٍ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA A-I'ZHU MIN SHARRI KULLI BAAGHIN WA TAAGHIN WA MIN SHARRI JAMEE-I' KHALQIK

O Allah, protect him from the evil of every oppressor and tyrant, and from the evil of all Your creation,

وَ احْفَظْهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَ عَنْ يَمِيْنِهِ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَ احْرُسْهُ وَ امْنَعْهُ اَنْ يُوْصَلَ اِلَيْهِ بِسُوْۤءٍ

WAHFAZHU MIM BAYNI YADAYHI WA MIN KHALFIHI WA A'N YAMEENIHI WA A'N SHIMAALIHI WAHRUSHU WAMNA-A'HU AY YOOSALA ILAYHI BI-SOOO-I

and protect him from before him, from behind him, from his right, and from his left; guard him and prevent any harm from reaching him,

وَ احْفَظْ فِيْهِ رَسُوْلَكَ وَ اٰلَ رَسُوْلِكَ وَ اَظْهِرْ بِهِ الْعَدْلَ وَ اَيِّدْهُ بِالنَّصْرِ

WAHFAZ FEEHI RASOOLAKA WA AALA RASOOLIKA WA AZHIR BIHIL A'DLA WA AYYIDHU BIN NASR

and through him safeguard Your Messenger and the Household of Your Messenger; make justice manifest through him, and support him with victory,

وَ انْصُرْ نَاصِرِيْهِ وَ اخْذُلْ خَاذِلِيْهِ وَ اقْصِمْ بِهِ جَبَابِرَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَ اقْتُلْ بِهِ الْكُفَّارَ وَ الْمُنَافِقِيْنَ وَ جَمِيْعَ الْمُلْحِدِيْنَ حَيْثُ كَانُوْا مِنْ مَشَارِقِ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَغَارِبِهَا وَ بَرِّهَا وَ بِحْرِهَا

WANSUR NAASIREEHI WAKHZUL KHAAZILEEHI WAQSIM BIHI JABAABIRATAL KUFRI WAQTUL BIHIL KUFFAARA WAL MUNAAFIQEENA WA JAMEE-A'L MULHIDEENA HAYTHU KAANOO MIM MASHAARIQIL ARDI WA MAGHAARIBIHAA WA BARRIHAA WA BAHRIHAA

give victory to his supporters and abandon those who abandon him, and through him crush the tyrants of disbelief, and destroy through him the disbelievers, the hypocrites, and all the deviants, wherever they may be, in the east and west of the earth, on its land and in its sea,

وَ امْلَأْ بِهِ الْاَرْضَ عَدْلًا وَ اَظْهِرْ بِهِ دِيْنَ نَبِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ

WAMLA BIHIL ARDA A'DLAW WA AZHIR BIHI DEENA NABIYYIKA A'LAYHI WA AALIHIS SALAAM

and fill the earth through him with justice, and manifest through him the religion of Your Prophet — upon him and his Household be peace,

وَ اجْعَلْنِي اللّٰهُمَّ مِنْ اَنْصَارِهِ وَ اَعْوَانِهِ وَ اَتْبَاعِهِ وَ شِيْعَتِهِ

WAJ-A'LNEE ALLAAHUMMA MIN ANSAARIHI WA A'WAANIHI WA ATBAA-I'HI WA SHEE-A'TIH

and make me, O Allah, among his supporters, his helpers, his followers, and his adherents,

وَ اَرِنِيْ فِيۤ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ مَا يَاْمُلُوْنَ وَ فِيْ عَدُوِّهِمْ مَا يَحْذَرُوْنَ اِلٰهَ الْحَقِّ اٰمِيْنَ

WA ARINEE FEE AALI MUHAMMADIN MAA YA-MULOONA WA FEE A'DUWWIHIM MAA YAHZAROONA ILAAHAL HAQQI AAMEEN

and show me, in the family of Muhammad, what they hope for, and in their enemy, what they dread; O God of Truth, Amen.
