Salawat upon Lady Fatimah

Text and Translation

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى الصِّدِّيْقَةِ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّكِيَّةِ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLI ALAS SIDDEEQATE FAATIMATAZ ZAKEEYAH

O Allah, send blessings upon the veracious and immaculate lady Fatimah,

حَبِيْبَةِ حَبِيْبِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ

HABEEBATE HABEEBIKA WA NABIYYIKA

the most beloved of Your beloved and Your Prophet,

وَ اُمِّ اَحِبَّاۤئِكَ وَ اَصْفِيَاۤئِكَ

WA UMME AHIBBAA-IKA WA ASFIYAA-IKA

and the mother of Your dearest and choicest ones,

الَّتِيْ انْتَجَبْتَهَا وَ فَضَّلْتَهَا وَ اخْتَرْتَهَا عَلٰى نِسَاۤءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

ALLATEE INTAJABTAHAA WA FAZZALTAHAA WAKHTARTAHAA ALAA NESAA-IL AALAMEEN

whom You have selected, given preference to, and chosen over the women of the worlds.

اَللّٰهُمَّ كُنِ الطَّالِبَ لَهَا مِمَّنْ ظَلَمَهَا وَ اسْتَخَفَّ بِحَقِّهَا

ALLAAHUMMA KUNIT TAALEBA LAHAA MIMMAN ZALAMAHAA WASTAKHAFFA BEHAQQEHAA

O Allah, be her claimant against those who wronged her and belittled her right,

وَ كُنِ الثَّاۤئِرَ اللّٰهُمَّ بِدَمِ اَوْلَادِهَا

WA KUNITH THAA-ERA ALLAAHUMMA BEDAME AWLAADEHAA

and be, O Allah, the Avenger of the blood of her children.

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ كَمَا جَعَلْتَهَاۤ اُمَّ اَئِمَّةِ الْهُدٰى

ALLAAHUMMA WA KAMAA JA-ALTAHAA UMMA A-EMMATIL HUDAA

O Allah, and just as You made her the mother of the Imams of guidance,

وَ حَلِيْلَةَ صَاحِبِ اللِّوَاۤءِ وَ الْكَرِيْمَةَ عِنْدَ الْمَلَاِ الْاَعْلٰى

WA HALEELATA SAAHEBIL LIWAA-E WAL KAREEMATA I'NDAL MALA-IL A'-LAA

the spouse of the Bearer of the Banner, and the most honored one before the Highest Assembly,

فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهَا وَ عَلٰى اُمِّهَا صَلٰوةً تُكْرِمُ بِهَا وَجْهَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ

FASALLI ALAYHAA WA ALAA UMMEHAA SALAATAN TUKREMO BEHAA WAJHA MOHAMMADIN SALLAL LAAHO ALAYHE WA AALEH

so send upon her and upon her mother such blessings as would honor the face of Muhammad — Allah's blessings be upon him and his Household —

وَ تُقِرُّ بِهَاۤ اَعْيُنَ ذُرِّيَّتِهَا

WA TUQERRO BEHAA A'YONA ZURRIYYATEHAA

and delight the eyes of her offspring thereby.

وَ اَبْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ السَّاعَةِ اَفْضَلَ التَّحِيَّةِ وَ السَّلَامِ

WA ABLIGHHUM A'NNEE FEE HAAZIHIS SAA-A'TE AFZALAT TAHIYYATE WAS SALAAM

And convey to them from me, at this very hour, the best of greetings and peace.
