Salawaat Abul Hasan al-Zarraab al-Isfahani

Text and Translation

It is also necessary not to overlook the famous invocation of blessings upon the Holy Prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, that is ascribed to Abul Hasan al-Zarraab al-Isfahani. Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid Ibn Tawus have included this famous invocation with the recommended rites of Friday afternoons. Confirming its significance and writing down the series of its reporters, Sayyid Ibn Tawus adds, “This invocation is reported from our master Imam al-Mahdi, peace be upon him. So, if you have to neglect all the post-prayer litanies on Friday, try not to overlook this invocation for a matter that Almighty Allah has shown to me.”

As for Shaykh al-Tusi, he says, “This invocation is reported from the Patron of the Age, Imam al-Mahdi, peace be upon him. It was shown to Abu’l-Hasan al-Zarraab in Makkah.”

Allowing for summary, the series of reporters will be overlooked. However, the supplication is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM

In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ سَيِّدِ الُمُرْسَلِيْنَ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMADIN SAYYEDIL MURSALEENA

O God, bless Muhammad, the Master of the Messengers,

وَخَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

WA KHAATAMIN NABIYYEEN

And the Seal of the Prophets,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMENAL

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds,

الْمُنْتَجَبِ فِي الْمِيْثَاقِ

MUNTAJABE FIL MEESAAQIL

The Chosen One in the Covenant,

الْمُصْطَفٰى فِيْ الظِّلَالِ

MUSTAFAA FIZ ZELAALIL

The Selected One in the Shadows (i.e., before creation),

الْمُطَهَّرِ مِنْ كُلِّ آفَةٍ

MOTAHHARE MIN KULLE AAAFATIN

The Purified One from every defect,

اَلْبَرِيْءِ مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْبٍ

AL-BAREE-E MIN KULLE A'YBIN

The Free One from every flaw,

اَلْمُؤَمَّلِ لِلنَّجَاةِ

AL-MOAMMALE LIN-NAJAATIL

The One hoped for salvation,

الْمُرْتَجٰى لِلشَّفَاعَةِ

MURTAJAA LISH-SHAFAA-A'TIL

The One expected for intercession,

الْمُفَوَّضِ اِلَيْهِ دِيْنُ اللهِ.

MOFAWWAZE ELAYHE DEENUL LAAHE.

The One entrusted with the religion of God.

اَللّٰهُمَّ شَرِّفْ بُنْيَانَهٗ

ALLAAHUMMA SHARRIF BUNYAANAHU

O Allah, dignify his stature/rank,

وَعَظِّمْ بُرْهَانَهٗ

WA A'ZZIM BURHAANAHU

And magnify his Proof

وَاَفْلِحْ حُجَّتَهٗ

WA AFLIJ HUJJATAHU

And make his Argument victorious,

وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهٗ

WAR FA' DARAJATAHU

And raise his degree (rank),

وَاَضِءْ نُوْرَهٗ

WA AZE-A NOORAHU

And illuminate his light,

وَبَيِّضْ وَجْهَهٗ

WA BAYYIZ WAJHAHU

And brighten his face,

وَاَعْطِهِ الْفَضْلَ وَالْفَضِيْلَةَ

WA AA'-TEHIL FAZLA WAL FAZEELATA

And grant him the merit and the Pre-eminence,

وَالْمَنْزِلَةَ وَالْوَسِيْلَةَ

WAL MANZELATA WAL WASEELATA

And the Rank and the Means,

وَالدَّرَجَةَ الرَّفِيْعَةَ

WAD DARAJATAR RAFEE-A'TA

And the Exalted Rank,

وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُوْدًا

WAB A'SHO MAQAAMAM MAHMOODAN

And raise him to the Praised Station,

يَغْبِطُهٗ بِهِ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ وَالْآخِرُوْنَ

YAGHBETOHU BEHIL AWWALOONA WAL AAAKHEROONA

Which the first and the last ones envy him for.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

WA SALLE A'LAA AMEERIL MOAMENEENA

And bless the Commander of the Faithful,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَقَائِدِ الْغُرِّ الُمحَجَّليْنَ

WA QAA-EDIL GHURRIL MOHAJJALEENA

And the Leader of the Bright-faced Ones,

وَسَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ

WA SAYYEDIL WASIYYEENA

And the Master of the Successors,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

WA SALLE A'LAL HASAN IBNE A'LIYYIN

And bless al-Hasan ibn Ali,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

WA SALLE A'LAL HUSAYN IBNE A'LAYYIN

And bless al-Husayn ibn Ali,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ

WA SALLE A'LAA A'LIYY IBNIL HUSAYN

And bless Ali ibn al-Husayn,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَليْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

WA SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMAD IBNE A'LIYYIN

And bless Muhammad ibn Ali,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

WA SALLE A'LAA JA'-FAR IBNE MOHAMMADIN

And bless Ja'far ibn Muhammad,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُوْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ

WA SALLE A'LAA MOOSAB NE JA'FARIN

And bless Musa ibn Ja’far,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوْسٰى

WA SALLE A'LAA A'LIYY IBNE MOOSAA

And bless Ali ibn Moosa,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

WA SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMAD IBNE A'LIYYIN

And bless Muhammad ibn Ali,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

WA SALLE A'LAA A'LIYY IBNE MOHAMMADIN

And bless Ali ibn Muhammad,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

WA SALLE A'ALAL HASAN IBNE A'LIYYIN

And bless al-Hasan ibn Ali,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْخَلَفِ الْهَادِيْ الْمَهْدِيِّ

WA SALLE A'LAL KHALAFIL HAADIL MAHDIYYE

And bless the Successor, the Guiding, the Guided,

اِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

EMAAMIL MOAMENEENA

The Imam of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

WA WAARESIL MURSALEENA

And the Heir of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

WA HUJJATE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA.

And the Proof of the Lord of the Worlds.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AHLE BAYTEHIL

O Allah, bless Muhammad and the People of his Household,

الْاَئِمَّةِ الْهَادِيْنَ

A-IMMATIL HAADEENAL

The Guiding Imams,

الْعُلَمَاءِ الصَّادِقِيْنَ

O'LAMAAA-IS SAADEQEENAL

The Truthful Scholars,

الْاَبْرَارِ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ

ABRAARIL MUTTAQEENA

The Pious Righteous Ones,

دَعَائِمِ دِيْنِكَ

DA-A'AA-EME DEENEKA

The Pillars of Your Religion,

وَاَرْكَانِ تَوْحِيْدِكَ

WA ARKAANE TAWHEEDEKA

And the Foundations of Your Monotheism,

وَتَرَاجِمَةِ وَحْيِكَ

WA TARAAJEMATE WAH-YEKA

And the Interpreters of Your Revelation,

وَحُجَجِكَ عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ

WA HOJAJEKA A'LAA KHALQEKA

And Your Proofs over Your creation,

وَخُلَفَائِكَ فِىْ اَرْضِكَ

WA KHOLAFAA-EKA FEE ARZEKAL

And Your Successors upon Your earth,

الَّذِيْنَ اخْتَرْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ

LAZEENAKH TARTAHUM LE-NAFSEKA

Those whom You chose for Yourself,

وَاصْطَفَيْتَهُمْ عَلٰى عِبَادِكَ

WAS TAFAYTAHUM A'LAA E'BAADEKA

And You selected over Your servants,

وَارْتَضَيْتَهُمْ لِدِيْنِكَ

WAR TAZAYTAHUM LE-DEENEKA

And You approved for Your religion,

وَخَصَصْتَهُمْ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ

WA KHASASTAHUM BE-MAA'REFATEKA

And You singled out with Your gnosis (knowledge),

وَجَلَّلْتَهُمْ بِكَرَامَتِكَ

WA JALLALTAHUM BE-KARAAMATEKA

And You covered with Your generosity,

وَغَشَّيْتَهُمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

WA GHASHSHAYTAHUM BE-RAHMATEKA

And You enveloped with Your mercy,

وَرَبَّيْتَهُمْ بِنِعْمَتِكَ

WA RABBAYTAHUM BE-NE'-MATEKA

And You raised them with Your favour,

وَغَذَّيْتَهُمْ بِحِكْمَتِكَ

WA GHAZZAYTAHUM BE-HIKMATEKA

And You nourished them with Your wisdom,

وَاَلْبَسْتَهُمْ نُوْرَكَ

WA ALBASTAHUM NOORAKA

And You clothed them with Your light,

وَرَفَعْتَهُمْ فِىْ مَلَكُوْتِكَ

WA RAFA'-TAHUM FEE MALAKOOTEKA

And You raised them in Your kingdom,

وَحَفَفْتَهُمْ بِمَلَائِكَتِكَ

WA HAFAFTAHUM BE-MALAAAEKATEKA

And You surrounded them with Your angels,

وَشَرَّفْتَهُمْ بِنَبِيِّكَ

WA SHARRAFTAHUM BE-NABIYYEKA

And You honoured them through Your Prophet,

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ.

SALAWAATOKA A'LAYHE WA AALEHI.

Your blessings be upon him and his family.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلَيْهِمْ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMADINW WA A'LAYHIM

O Allah, bless Muhammad and them (the Imams),

صَلَاةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً كَثِيْرَةً

SALAATAN ZAAKEYATAN NAAMEYATAN KASEERATAN

A blessing that is pure, ever-growing, Abundant,

دَائِمَةً طَيِّبَةً

DAA-EMATAN TAYYEBATAN

continuous, goodly,

لَا يُحِيْطُ بِهَا اِلَّا اَنْتَ

LAA YOHEETO BEHAA ILLAA ANTA

Which none can encompass except You,

وَلَا يَسَعُهَا اِلَّا عِلْمُكَ

WA LAA YASA-O'HAA ILLAA I'LMOKA

And none can contain except Your knowledge,

وَلَا يُحْصِيْهَا اَحَدٌ غَيْرُكَ.

WA LAA YOHSEEHAA AHADUN GHAYROKA.

And none can count except You.

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلٰى وَلِيِّكَ

ALLAAHUMMA WA SALLE A'LAA WALIYYEKAL

O Allah, and bless Your Guardian,

الْمُحْيِيْ سُنَّتَكَ

MOH-YEE SUNNATAKAL

The Reviver of Your Sunnah,

اَلْقَائِمِ بِاَمْرِكَ

QAAA-EME BE-AMREKAD

The Establisher of Your Command,

اَلدَّاعِىْ اِلَيْكَ

DAA-E'E ELAYKAD

The Caller towards You,

الدَّلِيْلِ عَلَيْكَ،

DALEELE A'LAYKA.

The Guide to You.

حُجَّتِكَ عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ

HUJJATEKA A'LAA KHALQEKA

Your Proof over Your creation,

وَخَلِيْفَتِكَ فِيْ اَرْضِكَ

WA KHALEEFATEKA FEE ARZEKA

And Your Caliph (Successor) in Your earth,

وَشَاهِدِكَ عَلٰى عِبَادِكَ.

WA SHAAHEDEKA A'LAA E'BAADEKA.

And Your Witness over Your servants.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعِزَّ نَصْرَهٗ

ALLAAHUMMA A-I'ZZA NASRAHU

O Allah, give strength to his victory,

وَمُدَّ فِىْ عُمْرِهٖ

WA MUDDA FEE U'MREHI

And extend his life,

وَزَيِّنِ الْاَرْضَ بِطُوْلِ بَقَائِهٖ.

WA ZAYYENIL ARZA BE-TOOLE BAQAAA-EHI.

And adorn the earth with the length of his remaining.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِهٖ بَغْيَ الْحَاسِدِيْنَ

ALLAAHUMMAK FEHI BAGHYAL HAASEDEENA

O Allah, suffice him against the malice of the envious,

وَاَعِذْهُ مِنْ شَرِّ الْكَائِدِيْنَ

WA A-I'ZHO MIN SHARRIL KAA-EDEENA

And protect him from the evil of the conspirators,

وَازْجُرْ عَنْهُ اِرَادَةَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ

WAZ JUR A'NHO ERAADATAZ ZAALEMEENA

And restrain from him the intentions of the oppressors,

وَخَلِّصْهُ مِنْ اَيْدِي الْجَبَّارِيْنَ.

WA KHALLIS-HO MIN AYDIL JABBAAREENA.

And deliver him from the hands of the tyrants.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعْطِهٖ فِيْ نَفْسِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMAA AA'-TEHI FEE NAFSEHI

O Allah, grant him in himself

وَذُرِّيَّتِهٖ وَشِيْعَتِهٖ

WA ZURRIYYATEHI WA SHEE-ATEHI

and his offspring, And his followers

وَرَعِيَّتِهٖ وَخاصَّتِهٖ

WA RA-I'YYATEHI WA KHAASSATEHI

and his subjects, And his close ones

وَعَامَّتِهٖ وَعَدُوِّهٖ

WA A'AMMATEHI WA A'DUWWEHI

and his general followers, And his enemy

وَجَمِيْعِ اَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا

WA JAMEE-E' AHLID DUNYAA

and all the people of the world,

مَا تُقِرُّ بِهٖ عَيْنَهٗ

MAA TOQIRRO BEHI A'YNAHU

That which delights his eye,

وَتَسُرُّ بِهٖ نَفْسَهٗ

WA TASURRO BEHI NAFSAHU

And pleases his soul,

وَبَلِّغْهُ اَفْضَلَ مَا اَمَّلَهٗ

WA BALLIGH-HO AFZALA MAA AMMALAHU

And let him attain the best of what he has hoped for,

فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

FID DUNYAA WAL AAKHERATE

in this world and the Hereafter.

اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ.

INNAKA A'LAA KULLE SHAY-IN QADEERUN.

Indeed, You are over all things Capable.

اَللّٰهُمَّ جَدِّدْ بِهٖ مَا اْمَتَحٰى مِنْ دِيْنِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA JADDID BEHI MAM TAHAA MIN DEENEKA

O Allah, renew through him what has been effaced from Your religion,

وَاَحْيِ بِهٖ مَا بُدِّلَ مِنْ كِتابِكَ

WA AHYE BEHI MAA BUDDELA MIN KETAABEKA

Revive through him what has been altered in Your Book,

وَاَظْهِرْ بِهٖ مَا غُيِّرَ مِنْ حُكْمِكَ

WA AZHIR BEHI MAA GHUYYERA MIN HUKMEKA

And manifest through him what has been changed in Your ruling,

حَتّٰى يَعُوْدَ دِيْنُكَ بِهٖ

HATTAA YA-O'ODA DEENOKA BEHI

Until Your religion returns through him

وَعَلٰى يَدَيْهِ غَضًّا جَدِيْدًا

WA A'LAA YADAYHE GHAZZAN JADEEDAN

and by his hands, Fresh, new,

خَالِصًا مُخْلَصًا

KHAALESAN MUKHLASAN

Pure, sincere,

لَا شَكَّ فِيْهِ وَلَا شُبْهَةَ مَعَهٗ

LAA SHAKKA FEEHE WA LAA SHUBATA MA-A'HU

With no doubt in it, and no ambiguity accompanying it,

وَلَا بَاطِلَ عِنْدَهٗ

WA LAA BAATELA I'NDAHU

With no falsehood near it,

وَلَا بِدْعَةَ لَدَيْهِ.

WA LAA BID-A’TA LADAYHE.

and no innovation within it.

اَللّٰهُمَّ نَوِّرْ بِنُوْرِهٖ كُلَّ ظُلْمَةٍ

ALLAAHUMMA NAWWIR BE-NOOREHI KULLA ZULMATIN

O Allah, illuminate with his light every darkness,

وَهُدَّ بِرُكْنِهٖ كُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ

WA HUDDA BE-RUKNEHI KULLA BIDA’TIN

And destroy with his strength every innovation,

وَاهْدِمْ بِعِزِّهٖ كُلَّ ضَلَالَةٍ

WAH DIM BE-I'ZZEHI KULLA ZALAALATIN

And demolish with his might every misguidance,

وَاقْصِمْ بِهٖ كُلَّ جَبَّارٍ

WAQ SIM BEHI KULLA JABBAARIN

And crush through him every tyrant,

وَاَخْمِدْ بِسَيْفِهٖ كُلَّ نَارٍ

WA AKHMID BE-SAYFEHI KULLAA NAARIN

And extinguish with his sword every fire,

وَاَهْلِكْ بِعَدْلِهٖ جَوْرَ كُلِّ جَائِرٍ

WA AHLIK BE-A'DLEHI JAWRA KULLE JAA-ERIN

And destroy with his justice the oppression of every wrongdoer,

وَاجْرِ حُكْمَهٗ عَلٰى كُلِّ حُكْمٍ

WAJ RE HUKMAHU A'LAA KULLE HUKMIN

And enforce his rule over every rule,

وَاَذِلَّ بِسُلْطَانِهٖ كُلَّ سُلْطَانٍ.

WA AZILLA BE-SULTAANEHI KULLA SULTAANIN.

And humiliate with his authority every authority.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَذِلَّ كُلَّ مَنْ نَاوَاهُ

ALLAAHUMMA AZILLA KULLA MAN NAAWAAHO

O Allah, humiliate everyone who opposes him,

وَاَهْلِكْ كُلَّ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

WA AHLIK KULLA MAN A'ADAAHO

And destroy everyone who is hostile to him,

وَامْكُرْ بِمَنْ كَادَهٗ

WAM KUR BEMAN KAADAHU

And plot against those who scheme against him,

وَاسْتَاْصِلْ مَنْ جَحَدَهٗ حَقَّهٗ

WAS TAASIL MAN JAHADAHU HAQQAHU

And uproot those who deny his right,

وَاسْتَهَانَ بِاَمْرِهٖ

WAS TAHAANA BE-AMREHI

And belittle his command,

وَسَعٰى فِيْ اِطْفَاءِ نُوْرِهٖ

WA SA-A'A FEE ITFAA-E NOOREHI

And strive to extinguish his light,

وَاَرَادَ اِخْمَادَ ذِكْرِهٖ.

WA ARAADA IKHMAADA ZIKHREHI.

And desire to suppress his mention.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍۨ الْمُصْطَفٰى

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMADENIL MUSTAFAA

O Allah, bless Muhammad, the Chosen,

وَعَلِيٍّ۟ الْمُرْتَضٰى

WA A'LIYYENIL MURTAZAA

And Ali, the Well-pleased,

وَفَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ

WA FAATEMATAZ ZAHRAA-E

And Fatima, the Radiant,

وَالْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا

WAL HASANIR REZEAA

And al-Hasan, the Content,

وَالْحُسَيْنِ الْمُصَفّٰى

WAL HUSAYNIL MOSAFFAA

And al-Husayn, the Purified,

وَجَمِيْعِ الْاَوْصِيَاءِ

WA JAMEE-I'L AWSEYAA-E

And all the Successors,

مَصَابِيْحِ الدُّجٰى

MASAABEEHID DOJAA

the Lamps in the darkness,

وَاَعْلَامِ الْهُدٰى

WA A'ALAAMIL HODAA

And the Banners of Guidance,

وَمَنَارِ التُّقٰى

WA MANAARIT TOQAA

And the Lighthouses of Piety,

وَالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقٰى

WAL U'RWATIL WUSQAA

And the Firmest Handle,

وَالْحَبْلِ الْمَتِيْنِ

WAL HABLIL MATEENE

And the Strong Cord,

وَالصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيْمِ،

WAS SERAATIL MUSTAQEEM.

And the Straight Path.

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى وَلِيِّكَ

WA SALLE A'LAA WALIYYEKA

And bless Your Guardian

وَوُلَاةِ عَهْدِكَ

WA WOLAATE A'HDEKA

and the Custodians of Your Covenant,

وَالْاَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِهٖ

WAL A-IMMATE MIN WULDEHI

And the Imams from his progeny,

وَمُدَّ فِيْ اَعْمَارِهِمْ

WA MUDDA FEE AA'-MAAREHIM

And extend their lives,

وَزِدْ فِيْ آجَالِهِمْ

WA ZID FEE AAAJAALEHIM

And increase their appointed terms,

وَبَلِّغْهُمْ اَقْصٰى آمَالِهِمْ

WA BALLIGH-HUM AQSAA AAAMAALEHIM

And let them attain the furthest of their hopes,

دِيْنًا وَدُنْيَا وَآخِرَةً

DEENAN WA DUNYAA WA AAAKHERATAN

Regarding religion, world, and the Hereafter.

اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ .

INNAKA A'LAA KULLE SHAYIN QADEERUN.

Indeed, You have power over all things.

According to some narrations, the Saturday nights are as sacred as Friday nights; therefore, it is recommendably required to say the same supplications of Friday night at Saturday nights.
