Merits
In his book of Jamal al-Usbu', Sayyid Ibn Tawus has recorded a special prayer and supplication for each of the Holy Imams (a.s.), to be offered on Fridays.
Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.)'s prayer consists of two units. In each unit, recite [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once and Ayat al-Shahadah ([Surah Ali 'Imran](A7), 3:18-19) one hundred times.
Text and Translation
Upon concluding the prayer, say the following supplication:
يَا صَانِعَ كُلِّ مَصْنُوْعٍ
YAA SAANI'A KULLI MASNOO'
O He Who Makes all made things!
يَا جَابِرَ كُلِّ كَسِيْرٍ
YAA JAABIRA KULLI KASEER
O He Who splints all broken bones!
وَيَا حَاضِرَ كُلِّ مَلَاءٍ
WA YAA HAADIRA KULLI MALA'
O He Who is present in all assemblages!
وَيَا شَاهِدَ كُلِّ نَجْوٰى
WA YAA SHAAHIDA KULLI NAJWAA
O He Who is the Witness of all confidential talks!
وَيَا عَالِمَ كُلِّ خَفِيَّةٍ
WA YAA A'ALIMA KULLI KHAFIYYAH
O He Who knows all hidden matters!
وَيَا شَاهِداً غَيْرَ غَائِبٍ
WA YAA SHAAHIDAN GHAYRA GHAA'IB
O He Who is always present and is never absent!
وَغَالِباً غَيْرَ مَغْلُوْبٍ
WA GHAALIBAN GHAYRA MAGHLOOB
O He Who is always triumphant and is never defeated!
وَيَا قَرِيْباً غَيْرَ بَعِيْدٍ
WA YAA QAREEBAN GHAYRA BA'EED
O He Who is always nigh and is never remote!
وَيَا مُؤْنِسَ كُلِّ وَحِيْدٍ
WA YAA MU'NISA KULLI WAHEED
O He Who entertains all lonely ones!
وَيَا حَيُّ مُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتٰى
WA YAA HAYYU MUHYIYAL MAWTAA
O He Who is ever-living, raiser of the dead,
وَمُمِيْتَ الْاَحْيَاءِ
WA MUMEETAL AHYAA'
and causing the alive to die!
الْقَائِمُ عَلٰى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ
AL-QAA'IMU A'LAA KULLI NAFSIN BIMAA KASABAT
O He Who watches every soul as to what it earns!
وَيَا حَيّاً حِيْنَ لَا حَيَّ
WA YAA HAYYAN HEENA LAA HAYY
O He Who was living when there was nothing existent!
لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANT
There is no god save You!
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALI MUHAMMAD
(please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
