Merits
In his book of Jamal al-Usbu', Sayyid Ibn Tawus has recorded a special prayer and supplication for each of the Holy Imams (a.s.), to be offered on Fridays.
Imam al-Kazim (a.s.)'s prayer consists of two units. In each unit, recite [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once and [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) twelve times.
Text and Translation
Upon concluding the prayer, say the following supplication:
اِلٰهِيْ خَشَعَتِ الْاَصْوَاتُ لَكَ
ILAAHEE KHASHA'ATIL ASWAATU LAK
O my God, all sounds are submissive to You,
وَضَلَّتِ الْاَحْلَامُ فِيْكَ
WA DALLATIL AHLAAMU FEEK
all intellects are too short to recognize You [as exactly as You are],
وَوَجِلَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنْكَ
WA WAJILA KULLU SHAY'IN MINK
all things are fearful of You,
وَهَرَبَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ اِلَيْكَ
WA HARABA KULLU SHAY'IN ILAYK
all things flee to You,
وَضَاقَتِ الْاَشْيَاءُ دُوْنَكَ
WA DAAQATIL ASHYAA'U DOONAK
all things are too tiny in comparison with You,
وَمَلَاَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ نُوْرُكَ
WA MALA'A KULLA SHAY'IN NOORUK
and Your light fills all things.
فَاَنْتَ الرَّفِيْعُ فِيْ جَلَالِكَ
FA-ANTAR RAFEE'U FEE JALAALIK
Therefore, You are the Exalted in Your majesty,
وَاَنْتَ الْبَهِيُّ فِيْ جَمَالِكَ
WA ANTAL BAHIYYU FEE JAMAALIK
You are the Luminous in Your splendor,
وَاَنْتَ الْعَظِيْمُ فِيْ قُدْرَتِكَ
WA ANTAL A'ZEEMU FEE QUDRATIK
You are the Great in Your omnipotence,
وَاَنْتَ الَّذِيْ لَا يَؤُوْدُكَ شَيْءٌ
WA ANTAL LADHEE LAA YA'OODUKA SHAY'
and You are Whom nothing can tire.
يَا مُنْزِلَ نِعْمَتِيْ
YAA MUNZILA NI'MATEE
O He Who sends down my bounties!
يَا مُفَرِّجَ كُرْبَتِيْ
YAA MUFARRIJA KURBATEE
O He Who relieves my agonies!
وَيَا قَاضِيَ حَاجَتِيْ
WA YAA QAADIYA HAAJATEE
O He Who settles my needs!
اَعْطِنِيْ مَسْاَلَتِيْ
A'TINEE MAS'ALATEE
(please) Give answer to my request,
بِلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
BILAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANT
in the name of "There is no god save You."
آمَنْتُ بِكَ مُخْلِصاً لَكَ دِيْنِيْ
AAMANTU BIKA MUKHLISAN LAKA DEENEE
I believe in You and I am sincere to You in obedience.
اَصْبَحْتُ عَلٰى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ
ASBAHTU A'LAA A'HDIKA WA WA'DIKA MAS TATA'T
I begin my day keeping my covenant and promise to You as much as I can.
اَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِالنِّعْمَةِ
ABOO'U LAKA BIN NI'MAH
I confess of Your favor to me
وَاَسْتَغْفِرُكَ مِنَ الذُّنُوْبِ الَّتِيْ لَا يَغْفِرُهَا غَيْرُكَ
WA ASTAGHFIRUKA MINADH DHUNOOBIL LATEE LAA YAGHFIRUHAA GHAYRUK
and I beseech You to forgive my sins that none else can forgive.
يَا مَنْ هُوَ فِيْ عُلُوِّهٖ دَانٍ
YAA MAN HUWA FEE U'LUWWIHEE DAAN
O He Who is nigh in His sublimity,
وَفِيْ دُنُوِّهٖ عَالٍ
WA FEE DUNUWWIHEE A'AL
Sublime in His nearness,
وَفِيْ اِشْرَاقِهٖ مُنِيْرٌ
WA FEE ISHRAAQIHEE MUNEER
Brilliant in His glow,
وَفِيْ سُلْطَانِهٖ قَوِيٌّ
WA FEE SULTAANIHEE QAWIYY
and Powerful in His [absolute] authority!
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALIH
(please) Send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household.
