Text and Translation
The following is also quoted from this respectable book: Imam al-Sadiq (a) is reported to have said: whoever of you intends to seek the aid of Almighty Allah (in the name of His Intimate Saints), may offer a two-unit prayer and then prostrate himself and say the following:
يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ يَا عَلِىُّ يَا سَيِّدَىِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِكُمَا اَسْتَغِيْثُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ تَعَالٰى يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا عَلِىُّ اَسْتَغِيْثُ بِكُمَا يَا غَوْثَاهُ بِاللّٰهِ وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ
YAA MUHAMMADU YAA RASOOLALLAAH, YAA A'LIYYU YAA SAYYIDAYAL MU'MINEENA WAL MU'MINAAT, BIKUMAA ASTAGHEESU ILALLAAHI TA'AALAA, YAA MUHAMMADU YAA A'LIYYU ASTAGHEESU BIKUMAA, YAA GHAWSAAH BILLAAHI WA BI-MUHAMMADIN WA A'LIYYIN WA FAATIMAH
O Muhammad, O Messenger of Allah; O Ali, O master of the believing men and believing women — through you both do I seek aid from Allah, the Exalted. O Muhammad, O Ali, I seek your aid; O my succor, by Allah, and by Muhammad, Ali, and Fatimah.
You may then mention the names of the Holy Imams (a). Following this, you may add the following:
بِكُمْ اَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَى اللهِ تَعَالٰى
BIKUM ATAWASSALU ILALLAAHI TA'AALAA
Through you all do I seek nearness to Allah, the Exalted.
Once you do so, they will intercede for you before Almighty Allah, to grant you His aid at that very moment, if He wills.
