Merits
It is reported that one who has a request to be granted by Almighty Allah may offer a four-unit prayer, reciting [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) and [Surah al-An'am](A10) in each unit.
Text and Translation
Upon concluding the prayer, say the following supplication:
يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا كَرِيْمُ
YAA KAREEMU YAA KAREEMU YAA KAREEM
O Generous! O Generous! O Generous!
يَا عَظِيْمُ يَا عَظِيْمُ يَا عَظِيْمُ
YAA A'ZEEMU YAA A'ZEEMU YAA A'ZEEM
O Great! O Great! O Great!
يَا اَعْظَمَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَظِيْمٍ
YAA A'ZAMA MIN KULLI A'ZEEM
O He Who is greater than every great one!
يَا سَمِيْعَ الدُّعَآءِ
YAA SAMEE'AD DU'AA'
O Hearer of prayer!
يَا مَنْ لَا تُغَيِّرُهُ اللَّيَالِيْ وَالْاَيَّامُ
YAA MAN LAA TUGHAYYIRUHUL LAYAALEE WAL AYYAAM
O He Whom the nights and the days do not change!
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ
SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALIH
Send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household,
وَارْحَمْ ضَعْفِيْ وَفَقْرِيْ وَفَاقَتِيْ وَمَسْكَنَتِيْ
WARHAM DA'FEE WA FAQREE WA FAAQATEE WA MASKANATEE
and have mercy on my weakness, my poverty, my want and my lowliness,
فَاِنَّكَ اَعْلَمُ بِهَا مِنِّيْ
FA-INNAKA A'LAMU BIHAA MINNEE
for You know them better than I do,
وَاَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِحَاجَتِيْ
WA ANTA A'LAMU BIHAAJATEE
and You know my need best.
يَا مَنْ رَحِمَ الشَّيْخَ يَعْقُوْبَ
YAA MAN RAHIMASH SHAYKHA YA'QOOB
O He Who had mercy on the aged Jacob
حِيْنَ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ يُوْسُفَ قُرَّةَ عَيْنِهٖ
HEENA RADDA A'LAYHI YOOSUFA QURRATA A'YNIH
when He restored Joseph, the delight of his eye, to him!
يَا مَنْ رَحِمَ اَيُّوْبَ بَعْدَ طُوْلِ بَلَآئِهٖ
YAA MAN RAHIMA AYYOOBA BA'DA TOOLI BALAA'IH
O He Who had mercy on Job after his long affliction!
يَا مَنْ رَحِمَ مُحَمَّدًا
YAA MAN RAHIMA MUHAMMADAN
O He Who had mercy on Muhammad,
وَّمِنَ الْيُتْمِ اٰوَاهُ
WA MINAL YUTMI AAWAAH
gave him shelter in his orphanhood,
وَنَصَرَهٗ عَلٰى جَبَابِرَةِ قُرَيْشٍ وَطَوَاغِيْتِهَا
WA NASARAHOO A'LAA JABAABIRATI QURAYSHIN WA TAWAAGHEETIHAA
granted him victory over the tyrants and false idols of Quraysh,
وَاَمْكَنَهٗ مِنْهُمْ
WA AMKANAHOO MINHUM
and gave him power over them!
يَا مُغِيْثُ يَا مُغِيْثُ يَا مُغِيْثُ
YAA MUGHEETHU YAA MUGHEETHU YAA MUGHEETH
O Helper! O Helper! O Helper!
Repeat this last phrase many times, and then ask Almighty Allah for your need, for He will grant it.
