Merits
Sayyid Ibn Tawus, in his book of al-Mazar (chapter: Rites of al-Kufah Mosque), after mentioning the recommended acts at Imam Ali (a.s.)'s niche (mihrab), has mentioned a special prayer for settling the needs to be offered there.
It consists of four units, each two alone (the taslim is said after every two units). In the first unit, recite [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once and [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) ten times; in the second, [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once and [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) twenty-one times; in the third, [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once and [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) thirty-one times; and in the fourth, [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once and [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) forty-one times.
Text and Translation
After the taslim and the glorification (tasbih), recite [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) fifty-one times, and then say each of the following fifty times:
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ
ASTAGHFIRULLAAH
I seek forgiveness of Allah.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ALLAAHUMMA SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALI MUHAMMAD
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ
LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL A'LIYYIL A'ZEEM
There is no might and no strength save in Allah, the High, the Great.
Then say the following supplication:
يَا اَللّٰهُ الْمَانِعُ قُدْرَتَهٗ خَلْقَهٗ
YAA ALLAAHUL MAANI'U QUDRATAHOO KHALQAH
O Allah, Who withholds His power from His creatures,
وَالْمَالِكُ بِهَا سُلْطَانَهٗ
WAL MAALIKU BIHAA SULTAANAH
and through it holds His dominion,
وَالْمُتَسَلِّطُ بِمَا فِيْ يَدَيْهِ عَلٰى كُلِّ مَوْجُوْدٍ
WAL MUTASALLITU BIMAA FEE YADAYHI A'LAA KULLI MAWJOOD
and by what is in His hands has authority over everything that exists!
وَغَيْرُكَ يَخِيْبُ رَجَآءُ رَاجِيْهِ
WA GHAYRUKA YAKHEEBU RAJAA'U RAAJEEH
Whoever hopes in other than You is disappointed in his hope,
وَرَاجِيْكَ مَسْرُوْرٌ لَا يَخِيْبُ
WA RAAJEEKA MASROORUN LAA YAKHEEB
but whoever hopes in You is gladdened and never disappointed.
اَسْئَلُكَ بِكُلِّ رِضًى لَكَ
AS'ALUKA BIKULLI RIDAN LAK
I ask You by everything that pleases You,
وَبِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ اَنْتَ فِيْهِ
WA BIKULLI SHAY'IN ANTA FEEH
by everything in which You are,
وَبِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ تُحِبُّ اَنْ تُذْكَرَ بِهٖ
WA BIKULLI SHAY'IN TUHIBBU AN TUDHKARA BIH
by everything by which You love to be remembered,
وَبِكَ يَا اَللّٰهُ فَلَيْسَ يَعْدِلُكَ شَيْءٌ
WA BIKA YAA ALLAAHU FALAYSA YA'DILUKA SHAY'
and by You, O Allah, for nothing is equal to You,
اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
AN TUSALLIYA A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALI MUHAMMAD
to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
وَتَحْفَظَنِيْ وَوَلَدِيْ وَاَهْلِيْ وَمَالِيْ
WA TAHFAZANEE WA WALADEE WA AHLEE WA MAALEE
to safeguard me, my children, my family and my property,
وَتَحْفَظَنِيْ بِحِفْظِكَ
WA TAHFAZANEE BIHIFZIK
to guard me with Your guarding,
وَاَنْ تَقْضِيَ حَاجَتِيْ فِيْ كَذَا وَكَذَا
WA AN TAQDIYA HAAJATEE FEE KADHAA WA KADHAA
and to settle my need concerning such-and-such.
Mention your need in place of "such-and-such".
