Namaz e Maghferat e Waaledain

Text and Translation

This prayer for the parents is of two units. In the first unit, recite [Surah al-Faatehah](A5) once, then repeat the following supplication ten times:

رَبِّ اغْفِرْلِىْ وَ لِوَالِدَىَّ وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الْحِسَابُ

RABBIGH FIR LEE WA LE WAALEDAYYA WA LIL MO'MENEENA YAWMA YAQOOMUL HESAAB

O my Lord! Grant protection to me and my parents and the believers, on the day when the reckoning shall come to pass!

In the second unit, recite [Surah al-Faatehah](A5) once, then repeat the following supplication ten times:

رَبِّ اغْفِرْلِىْ وَ لِوَالِدَىَّ وَ لِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِىَ مُؤْمِنًا وَّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

RABBIGH FIR LEE WA LE WAALEDAYYA WA LEMAN DHAKHALA BAYTEE MO'MENAWN WA LIL MO'MENEENA WAL MO'MENAAT

My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women.

When the prayer is completed (after the Taslim), repeat the following supplication ten times:

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِىْ صَغِيْرًا

RABBIR HAM-HOMAA KAMAA RABBAYAANEE SAGHEERAA

O my Lord! Have compassion on them, as they brought me up when I was little.
