Ziyarah of Imam Hasan (a.s.)

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ رَسُوْلِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA RASOOLE RABBIL A’ALAMEENA

Peace be on you, O son of the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA AMEERIL MOMENEENA

Peace be on you, O son of the Commander of the Believers!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَآءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA FAATEMATAZ ZAHRAAE

Peace be on you, O son of Fatimah, the luminous lady!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيْبَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HABEEBAL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O beloved of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صِفْوَةَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SIFWATAL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O choice of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَمِيْنَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA AMEENAL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O trustee of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HUJJATAL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O Argument of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُوْرَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA NOORAL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O Light of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صِرَاطَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SERAATAL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O Path of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَيَانَ حُكْمِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAYAANA HUKMIL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O elucidation of the rule of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ دِيْنِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA NAASERA DEENIL LAAHE

Peace be on you, O supporter of the religion of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا السَّيِّدُ الزَّكِیُّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAS SAYYEDUZ ZAKIYYO

Peace be on you, O pure master!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْبَرُّ الْوَفِیُّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL BARRUL WAFIYYO

Peace be on you, O self-righteous and truthful!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْقَآئِمُ الْاَمِيْنُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL QAAAEMUL AMEENO

Peace be on you, O practiser (of God’s commands) and trustee!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْعَالِمُ بِالتَّاوِيْلِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL A’ALEMO BIT TAAWEELE

Peace be on you, O well-experienced in the interpretation (of the Qur'an)!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْهَادِی الْمَهْدِیُّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL HAADIL MAHDIYYO

Peace be on you, O guide and well-guided!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الطَّاهِرُ الزَّكِیُّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAT TAAHERUZ ZAKIYYO

Peace be on you, O immaculate and pure!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا التَّقِیُّ النَّقِیُّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAT TAQIYYUN NAQIYYO

Peace be on you, O pious and infallible!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْحَقُّ الْحَقِيْقُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL HAQQUL HAQEEQ

Peace be on you, O veritable truth!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الشَّهِيْدُ الصِّدِّيْقُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHASH SHAHEEDUS SIDDEEQO

Peace be on you, O martyr and veracious!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ ۨ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA ABAA MOHAMMADENIL HASANABNA A’LIYYIN

Peace be on you, O Abu-Muhammad al-Hasan, the son of Ali!

وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ.

WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU

Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you!

Ziyarah of Imam Husain (a.s.)

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA RASOOLIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA AMEERIL MOMENEENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Believers!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَآءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA SAYYEDATE NESAAAIL A’ALAMEENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the doyenne of the women of the world!

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ اَقَمْتَ الصَّلوٰةَ

ASH-HADO ANNAKA QAD AQAMTAS SALAATA

I bear witness that you performed the prayers [duly],

وَاٰتَيْتَ الزَّكٰوةَ

WA AATAYTAZ ZAKAATA

defrayed the poor-rate,

وَاَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ

WA AMARTA BIL MA’ROOFE

enjoined the right,

وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ

WA NAHAYTA A’NIL MUNKARE

forbade the wrong,

وَعَبَدْتَ اللهَ مُخْلِصًا

WA A’BADTAL LAAHA MUKHLESAN

worshipped Allah sincerely,

وَجَاهَدْتَ فِی اللهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهٖ

WA JAAHADTA FIL LAAHE HAQQA JEHAADEHI

and strove for the sake of Allah with due striving

حَتّٰی اَتٰيكَ الْيَقِيْنُ

HATTAA ATAAKAL YAQEENO

until death came upon you.

فَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ مِنِّیْ

FA-A’LAYKAS SALAAMO MINNEE

So, peace from me be upon you

مَا بَقِيْتُ وَبَقِیَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ

MAA BAQEETO WA BAQEYAL LAYLO WAN NAHAARO

as long as I am alive and as long as day and night remain,

وَعَلٰی اٰلِ بَيْتِكَ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

WA A’LAA AALE BAYTEKAT TAYYEBEENAT TAAHEREENA

and peace be upon your Household, the pure, the immaculate.

اَنَا يَا مَوْلَایَ مَوْلًی لَكَ وَلِآلِ بَيْتِكَ

ANAA YAA MAWLAAYA MAWLAN LAKA WA LE-AALE BAYTEKA

O my master, I am a servant of you and of your Household,

سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ

SILMUN LEMAN SAALAMAKUM

peaceful with those who keep peace with you,

وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ

WA HARBUN LEMAN HAARABAKUM

at war against those who are at war against you,

مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَجَهْرِكُمْ

MOMENUN BE-SIRREKUM WA JAHREKUM

and believing in your secret and open affairs

وَظَاهِرِكُمْ وَبَاطِنِكُمْ

WA ZAAHEREKUM WA BAATENEKUM

and your inward and outward affairs.

لَعَنَ اللهُ اَعْدَآئَكُمْ

LA’NAL LAAHO AA’DAAAKUM

May Allah curse your enemies

مِنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْاٰخِرِيْنَ

MENAL AWWALEENA WAL AAKHEREEN

from the past and late generations.

وَاَنَا اَبْرَءُ اِلَی اللهِ تَعَالٰی مِنْهُمْ

WA ANAA ABRAO ELAL LAAHE TA-A’ALAA MINHUM

And I release myself from them before Almighty Allah!

يَا مَوْلَایَ يَا اَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ

YAA MAWLAAYA YAA ABAA MOHAMMAD

O my master, O Abu Muhammad;

يَا مَوْلاَیَ يَا اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ

YAA MAWLAAYA YAA ABAA A’BDIL LAAHE

and my master, O Abu Abdullah!

هٰذَا يَوْمُ الْاِثْنَيْنِ

HAAZAA YAWMUL ISNAYNE

Today is Monday,

وَهُوَ يَوْمُكُمَا وَبِاسْمِكُمَا

WA HOWA YAWMOKOMAA WA BISMEKOMAA

which is the day of both of you and carrying your names.

وَاَنَا فِيْهِ ضَيْفُكُمَا

WA ANAA FEEHE ZAYFOKOMAA

On this day, I am your guest;

فَاَضِيْفَانِیْ وَاَحْسِنَا ضِيَافَتِیْ

FA-AZEEFAANEE WA AHSENAA ZEYAAFATEE

therefore, receive me as your guest and treat me hospitably.

فَنِعْمَ مَنِ اسْتُضِيْفَ بِهٖ اَنْتُمَا

FA-NE’MA MANIS TEZEEFA BEHI ANTOMAA

Verily, you both are the most excellent hosts a guest may gain.

وَاَنَا فِيْهِ مِنْ جِوَارِكُمَا فَاَجِيْرَانِیْ

WA ANAA FEEHE MIN JEWAAREKOMAA FA-AJEERAANEE

On this day too, I am in your vicinity; so, treat me as your neighbour,

فَاِنَّكُمَا مَاْمُوْرَانِ بِالضِّيَافَةِ وَالْاِجَارَةِ

FA-INNAKOMAA MAAMOORAANE BIZ-ZEYAAFATE WAL EJAARATE

since you are commanded to receive your guests and neighbours hospitably.

فَصَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْكُمَا وَآلِكُمَا الطَّيِّبِيْنَ.

FASALLAL LAAHO A’LAYKOMAA WA AALEKOMAT TAYYEBEENA.

May Allah’s peace be upon you both and upon your immaculate household.
