Hirz-e-Janab-e-Fatemah (s.a.)

Text and Translation

This evil-repelling prayer is ascribed to Lady Fatimah (s.a.):

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEME

In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ اَسْتَغِيْثُ

YAA HAYYO YAA QAYYOOMO BE-RAHMATEKA ASTAGHEESO

O Living, O All-Sustaining! By Your mercy I seek relief,

فَاَغِثْنِىْ وَلَا تَكِلْنِىْ اِلٰى نَفْسِىْ

FA-AGHISNEE WA LAA TAKILNEE ELAA NAFSEE

so grant me relief. Do not leave me to myself

طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ اَبَدًا وَ اَصْلِحْ لِىْ شَاْنِىْ كُلَّهٗ.

TARFATA A’YNIN ABADANW WA ASLEH LEE SHA-NEE KULLAHU.

even for the blink of an eye, ever, and rectify for me all of my affairs.
