Farewell Prayer of Ramadhan

Text and Translation

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ قُلْتَ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيْۤ اُنْزِلَ فِيْهِ الْقُرْاٰنُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNAKA QULTA FEE KITAABIKAL MUNZAL: SHAHRU RAMADAANAL LAZEE UNZILA FEEHIL QUR'AAN

O Allah, You have said in Your revealed Book: 'The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an.'

وَ هٰذَا شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ وَ قَدْ تَصَرَّمَ فَاَسْاَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ وَ كَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّاتِ اِنْ كَانَ بَقِيَ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ لَّمْ تَغْفِرْهُ لِيْ اَوْ تُرِيْدُ اَنْ تُعَذِّبَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ اَوْ تَبْتَلِيَنِيْ بِهٖ اَنْ لَّا يَطْلُعَ فَجْرُ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ اَوْ يَتَصَرَّمَ هٰذَا الشَّهْرُ اِلَّا وَ قَدْ غَفَرْتَهٗ لِيْ يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

WA HAADHA SHAHRU RAMADAANA WA QAD TASARRAMA FA-AS'ALUKA BI-WAJHIKAL KAREEMI WA KALIMAATIKAT TAAMMAATI IN KAANA BAQIYA A'LAYYA DHAMBUL LAM TAGHFIR-HU LEE AW TUREEDU AN TU'ADHDHIBANEE A'LAYHI AW TABTALIYANEE BIHEE AL LAA YATLU'A FAJRU HAADHIHIL LAYLATI AW YATASARRAMA HAADHASH SHAHRU ILLAA WA QAD GHAFARTAHU LEE YAA ARHAMAR RAAHIMEEN

And this is the month of Ramadan, and it has almost ended; so I beseech You by Your noble Face and Your perfect words, if there remains upon me a sin that You have not forgiven me, or for which You intend to punish me or try me, that the dawn of this night does not break, nor this month end, unless You have forgiven it for me, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ بِمَحَامِدِكَ كُلِّهَاۤ اَوَّلِهَا وَ اٰخِرِهَا مَا قُلْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ مِنْهَا وَ مَا قَالَ الْخَلَآئِقُ الْحَامِدُوْنَ الْمُجْتَهِدُوْنَ

ALLAAHUMMA LAKAL HAMDU BI-MAHAAMIDIKA KULLIHAA AWWALIHAA WA AAKHIRIHAA MAA QULTA LI-NAFSIKA MINHAA WA MAA QAALAL KHALAAA'IQUL HAAMIDOONAL MUJTAMIDOON

O Allah, all praise is due to You with all of Your praises, the first and the last of them, those that You have attributed to Yourself, and those that the praising, striving creation have uttered.
