Merits
Al-Kulayni, Ibn Babawayh, and Shaykh al-Tusi report through valid chains that Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said: 'It is recommended upon every Muslim to say the following litany ten times before sunrise and before sunset every day:'
Text and Translation
لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِيْ وَ يُمِيْتُ وَ هُوَ حَيٌّ لَّا يَمُوْتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَ هُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ
LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHU WAHDAHOO LAA SHAREEKA LAH, LAHUL MULKU WA LAHUL HAMDU YUHYEE WA YUMEETU WA HUWA HAYYUL LAA YAMOOTU BI-YADIHIL KHAYRU WA HUWA A'LAA KULLI SHAY-IN QADEER
There is no god save Allah, alone without partner. His is the kingdom and His is the praise; He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-living and does not die; in His hand is all good, and He has power over all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهٖ
SUBHAANALLAAHI WA BI-HAMDIH
Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him.
سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ
SUBHAANALLAAHI WAL-HAMDU LILLAAHI WA LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHU WALLAAHU AKBAR
Glory be to Allah, and all praise is due to Allah, and there is no god save Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.
