Duas after every obligatory Prayers

Text and Translation

(1) اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

Sayyid Ibn Tawus has narrated that Imam al-Sadiq and Imam al-Kazim (a.s.) instructed to say the following supplicatory prayer after each and every obligatory prayer all over the month of Ramazan:

اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

ALLAAHUMMAR ZUQNEE HAJJA BAYTEKAL HARAAME

O Allah, (please) confer upon me with the grace of pilgrimage to Your Holy House

فِي عَامِیْ هٰذَا وَفِیْ كُلِّ عَامٍ

FEE A’AMEE HAAZAA WA FEE KULLE A’AAMIN

in this year and every year

مَا اَبْقَيْتَنِیْ فِیْ يُسْرٍ مِنْكَ وَعَافِيَةٍ،

MAA ABQAYTANEE FEE YUSRIN MINKA WA A’AFEYATIN

as long as You keep me alive, with easiness, good health,

وَسَعَةِ رِزْقٍ،

WA SA-A’TE RIZQIN

and expansive sustenance from You.

وَلَا تُخْلِنِيْ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْمَوَاقِفِ الْكَرِيْمَةِ،

WA LAA TUKHLENEE MIN TILKAL MAWAAQEFIL KAREEMATE

Do not deprive me of these noble situations,

وَالْمَشَاهِدِ الشَّرِيْفَةِ،

WAL MASHAA-HEDISH SHAREEFATE

holy places,

وَزِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ،

WA ZEYAARATE QABRE NABIYYEKA SALAWAATOKA A’LAYHE WA AALEHI

and visiting the tomb of Your Prophet may Your blessings be upon him and his Household.

وَفِيْ جَمِيْعِ حَوَاۤئِجِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

WA FEE JAMEE-E’ HAWAA-EJID DUNYAA WAL AAKHERATE

(Please) stand for me in all of my needs for this worldly life and the Next World.

فَكُنْ لِيْ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ

FAKUN LEE ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALOKA

O Allah, I beseech You regarding that

فِيْمَا تَقْضِيْ وَتُقَدِّرُ

FEEMAA TAQZEE WA TOQADDERO

which You decide and determine

مِنَ الْاَمْرِ الْمَحْتُوْمِ فِيْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ،

MENAL AMRIL MAHTOOME FEE LAYLATIL QADRE

from the inevitable decisions that You make on the Grand Night decisions

مِنَ الْقَضَاۤءِ الَّذِيْ لَا يُرَدُّ

MENAL QAZAAA-IL LAZEE LAA YORADDO

that are neither retreated

وَلَا يُبَدَّلُ اَنْ تَكْتُبَنِيْ

WA LAA YOBADDALO AN TAKTOBANEE

nor altered to include me with

مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

MIN HUJJAAJE BAYTEKAL HARAAMIL

the pilgrims to Your Holy House

الْمَبْرُوْرِ حَجُّهُمُ

MABROORE HAJJOHOMUL

whose pilgrimage is admitted by You,

الْمَشْكُوْرِ سَعْيُهُمْ

MASHKOORE SA’YOHOMUL

whose efforts are thankfully accepted by You,

الْمَغْفُوْرِ ذُنُوْبُهُمُ

MAGHFOORE ZONOOBOHOMUL

whose sins are forgiven by You,

الْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُهُمْ

MOKAFFARE A’NHUM SAYYE-AATOHUM

and whose offenses are pardoned by You.

وَاجْعَلْ فِيْمَا تَقْضِيْ وَتُقَدِّرُ

WAJ A’L FEEMAA TAQZEE WA TOQADDERO

Within Your determined decisions,

اَنْ تُطِيْلَ عُمْرِیْ،

AN TOTEELA U’MREE

please decide for me a long life,

وَتُوَسِّعَ عَلَیَّ رِزْقِیْ

WA TOWASSE-A’ A’LAYYA AMAANATEE WA DAYNEE

expansive sustenance,

وَتُؤَدِّىَ عَنِّیْ اَمَانَتِیْ وَدَيْنِيْ

WA TOADDEYA A’NNEE AMAANATEE WA DAYNEE

and help to fulfill my trusts and settle my debts.

اٰمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ.

AAMEENA RABBAL A’ALAMEENA.

Respond to me, O Lord of the worlds!

(2) يَا عَلِيُّ يَا عَظِيْمُ

You may also say the following supplicatory prayer after all obligatory prayers in Ramazan:

يَا عَلِيُّ يَا عَظِيْمُ،

YAA A’LIYYO YAA A’ZEEM

O Most High! O All Great!

يَا غَفُوْرُ يَا رَحِيْمُ،

YAA GHAFOORO YAA RAHEEM

O All-forgiving! O All-merciful!

اَنْتَ الرَّبُّ الْعَظِيْمُ الَّذِيْ

ANTAR RABBUL A’ZEEMUL LAZEE

You are the All-great Lord

لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهٖ شَيْءٌ

LAYSA KAMISLEHI SHAY-UN

like Whom there is nothing,

وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْبَصِيْرُ،

WA HOWAS SAMEEU’L BASEERO

and He is the All Hearing, the All-aware.

وَهٰذَا شَهْرٌ عَظَّمْتَهٗ وَكَرَّمْتَهٗ،

WA HAAZAA SHAHRUN A’ZZAMTAHU WA KARRAMTAHU

This is a month that You have glorified, ennobled,

وَشَرَّفْتَهٗ وَفَضَّلْتَهٗ عَلَى الشُّهُوْرِ،

WA SHARRAFTAHU WA FAZZALTAHU A’LASH SHOHOORE

honored, and preferred to the other months.

وَهُوَ الشَّهْرُ الَّذِيْ فَرَضْتَ صِيَامَهٗ عَلَيَّ،

WA HOWASH SHAHRUL LAZEE FARAZTA SEYAAMAHU A’LAYYA

It is the month that You imposed upon me to observe fasting in it.

وَهُوَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ،

WA HOWA SHAHRO RAMAZAANAL

It is the month of Ramazan

الَّذِيْ اَنْزَلْتَ فِيْهِ الْقُرْاٰنَ،

LAZEE ANZALTA FEEHIL QUR-AANA

during which You revealed the Qur'an

هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ،

HODAL LIN-NAASE WA BAYYENAATIM MENAL HODAA WAL FURQAAN

as guidance for people, clear proofs on true guidance, and distinction (between the right and the wrong).

وَجَعَلْتَ فِيْهِ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ،

WA JA-A’LTA FEEHI LAYLATAL QADRE

You decided the Grand Night to be in it

وَجَعَلْتَهَا خَيْرًا مِّنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍ،

WA JA-A’LTAHAA KHAYRAM MIN ALFE SHAHRIN

and You have decided it to be more favorable that one thousand months.

فَيَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَلَا يُمَنُّ عَلَيْكَ،

FAYAA ZAL MANNE WA LAA YOMANNO A’LAYKA

So, O Lord of graces! None can ever do favor to You!

مُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِفَكَاكَ رَقَبَتِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ

MUNNA A’LAYYA BE-FAKAAKE RAQABATEE MENAN NAARE

Please, do me a favor by releasing me from the Fire

فِيْمَنْ تَمُنُّ عَلَيْهِ،

FEEMAN TAMUNNO A’LAYHE

and by including me with those to whom You do this favor,

وَاَدْخِلْنِى الْجَنَّةَ

WA ADKHILNIL JANNATA

and allow me to enter Paradise,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.

BERAHMATEKA YAA ARHAMAR RAAHEMEEN.

on account of Your mercy. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

(3) اَللّٰهُمَّ اَدْخِلْ

In al-Misbah and in al-Balad al-Amin, Shaykh al-Kaf’ami, as well as Shaykh al-Shahid in al-Majmu’ah, have narrated that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said that one who says the following supplicatory prayer after each obligatory prayer in Ramadan will have all his sins forgiven up to the Resurrection Day:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَدْخِلْ عَلٰی اَهْلِ الْقُبُوْرِ السُّرُوْرِ

ALLAAHUMMA ADKHIL A’LAA AHLIL QOBOORIS SOROORE

O Allah, instill happiness in the spirits of the inhabitants of the grave.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَغْنِ كُلَّ فَقِیْرٍ

ALLAAHUMMA AGHNE KULLA FAQEERIN

O Allah, enrich every indigent.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَشْبِعْ كُلَّ جَائِعٍ

ALLAAHUMMA ASH-BE’ KULLA JAA-E-I’N

O Allah, satisfy every hungry person.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اكْسُ كُلَّ عُرْیَانٍ

ALLAAHUMMAK SO KULLA U’RYAANIN

O Allah, clothe every unclothed one.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اقْضِ دَیْنَ كُلِّ مَدِیْنٍ

ALLAAHUMMAQ ZE DAYNA KULLE MADEENIN

O Allah, facilitate the payment of every indebted one.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَرِّجْ عَنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوْبٍ

ALLAAHUMMA FARRIJ A’N KULLE MAKROOBIN

O Allah, relieve every deeply anguished one.

اَللّٰهُمَّ رُدَّ كُلَّ غَرِیْبٍ

ALLAAHUMMA RUDDA KULLA GHAREEBIN

O Allah, return every stranger.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فُكَّ كُلَّ اَسِیْرٍ

ALLAAHUMMA FUKKA KULLA ASEERIN

O Allah, free every captive.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَصْلِحْ كُلَّ فَاسِدٍ

ALLAAHUMMA ASLEH KULLA FAASEDIN

O Allah, reform every uneven

مِنْ اُمُوْرِ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ

MIN OMOORIL MUSLEMEENA

affair of the Muslims.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اشْفِ كُلَّ مَرِیْضٍ

ALLAAHUMMASH FE KULLA MAREEZIN

O Allah, cure every sick person.

اَللّٰهُمَّ سُدَّ فَقْرَنَا بِغِنَاكَ

ALLAAHUMMA SUDDA FAQRANAA BE-GHENAAKA

O Allah, fill our poverty with your needlessness.

اَللّٰهُمَّ غَیِّرْ سُوْءَ حَالِنَا بِحُسْنِ حَالِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA GHAYYIR SOO-A HAALANAA BE-HUSNE HAALEKA

O Allah, change our unpleasant state into Your beautiful state.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّیْنَ وَاَغْنِنَا مِنَ الْفَقْرِ

ALLAAHUMMAQ ZE A’NNAD DAYNA WA AGHNENAA MENAL FAQRE

O Allah, facilitate the payment of our debt and make us needless.

اِنَّكَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ.

INNAKA A’LAA KULLE SHAY-IN QADEERUN.

Surely You are All-Powerful over everything.
