In the book of al-Ja'fariyyat, Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) quoted the Holy Prophet (s) as saying this supplication whenever he placed his face on the ground for prostration of thanksgiving (Sajdah al-Shukr):
Text and Translation
اَللّٰهُمَّ مَغْفِرَتُكَ اَوْسَعُ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَ رَحْمَتُكَ اَرْجٰى عِنْدِيْ مِنْ عَمَلِيْ فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ ذُنُوْبِيْ يَا حَيًّا لَّا يَمُوْتُ
ALLAAHUMMA MAGHFIRATUKA AWSA'U MIN DHUNOOBOOBEE WA RAHMATUKA ARJAA I'NDEE MIN A'MALEE FAGHFIR LEE DHUNOOBOOBEE YAA HAYYAL LAA YAMOOT
O Allah, Your forgiveness is more vast than my sins, and Your mercy is more hopeful to me than my deeds; so forgive me my sins, O Ever-living Who does not die!
يَا مُذِلَّ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ يَا مُعِزَّ كُلِّ ذَلِيْلٍ قَدْ وَ حَقِّكَ بَلَغَ مَجْهُوْدِيْ فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ فَرِّجْ عَنِّيْ
YAA MUDHILLA KULLI JABBAAR, YAA MU'IZZA KULLI DHALEELEEN, QAD WA HAQQIKA BALAGHA MAJHOODEE FA-SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALI MUHAMMADIN WA FARRIJ A'NNEE
O Subduer of every tyrant! O Exalter of every abased one! By Your right, my endurance has reached its limit; so send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and grant me relief!
يَا اَللّٰهُ يَا رَبَّاهُ يَا سَيِّدَاهُ
YAA ALLAAHU YAA RABBAAHU YAA SAYYIDAAH
O Allah! O Lord! O Master!
