Dua for whoever wants to see his request in the dream

Text and Translation

The author of al-Jawahir al-Manthurah ('Abd al-Hasib ibn Ahmad al-'Alawi) says: whoever wants to see his request in a dream may recite before sleeping [Surah al-Shams](A95), [Surah al-Layl](A96), [Surah al-Tin](A99), [Surah al-Ikhlas](A116), [Surah al-Falaq](A117), and [Surah al-Nas](A118) — each one seven times — then perform ghusl, sleep in a pure place wearing pure clothes, face the qiblah, and lie on his right side as the dead lie in their graves, intending what he wants. If the request is not seen in a dream the first night, it will be seen within the following seven nights. Some scholars add [Surah al-Duha](A97) and [Surah al-Inshirah](A98) to the recitation as well. This method is reported to have been carried out by some people who succeeded in seeing their requests answered.
