The second hour, which is the space of time between sunrise and the disappearance of the redness of the sun, is dedicated to Imam al-Hasan ibn Ali (a). The following is the supplication at this hour:

O Allah, You have donned Your splendor in the greatest of Your power, Your light has become pure in the most luminous of Your radiance, Your knowledge has overflowed Your veil, and through it You have delivered those who trust in You when Your generosity comes; so You are exalted in Your majesty with a loftiness through which Your favor upon those obedient to You has become great, and through Your favor upon them You have made the inhabitants of Your heavens take pride in them. O Allah, so by the right of al-Hasan ibn Ali, upon him be peace, I beseech You, and through him I seek Your succor, and I present him before my needs, that You bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and that You do for me such-and-such.

You may now mention your needs.
