Dua for the 25th Night of Ramadhan

Text and Translation

يَا جَاعِلَ اللَّيْلِ لِبَاسًا، وَالنَّهَارِ مَعَاشًا، وَالْاَرْضِ مِهَادًا، وَالْجِبَالِ اَوْتَادًا، يَا اَللهُ يَا قَاهِرُ، يَا اَللهُ يَا جَبَّارُ، يَا اَللهُ يَا سَمِيْعُ، يَا اَللهُ يَا قَرِيْبُ، يَا اَللهُ يَا مُجِيْبُ، يَا اَللهُ يَا اَللهُ يَا اَللهُ، لَكَ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى، وَالْاَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا، وَالْكِبْرِيَاۤءُ وَالْاٰلَاۤءُ، اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِي السُّعَدَاۤءِ، وَرُوْحِيْ مَعَ الشُّهَدَاۤءِ، وَاِحْسَانِيْ فِي عِلِّيِّيْنَ، وَاِسَاۤءَتِيْ مَغْفُوْرَةً، وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ يَقيْنًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهٖ قَلْبِيْ، وَاِيْمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّيْ، وَرِضًى بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ، وَاٰتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْاٰخِرَةِ، حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيْقِ، وَارْزُقْنِيْ فِيْهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ اِلَيْكَ وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْبَةَ والتَّوْفِيْقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهٗ مُحَمَّدًا وَاٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ.

YAA JAA-I'LAL LAYLI LIBAASAA WAN NAHAARA MA-A'ASHAA WAL ARZ"I MIHAADAA WAL JIBAALI AWTAADA YAA ALLAAHU YAA QAAHIR YAA ALLAAHU YAA JABBAAR YAA ALLAAHU YAA SAMEE-U' YAA ALLAAHU YAA QAREEB YAA ALLAAHU YAA MUJEEB YAA ALLAAH YAA ALLAAH YAA ALLAAH LAKAL ASMAAA-UL H'USNAA WAL AMTHAALUL U'LYAA WAL KIBRIYAAA WAL AALAAA-U AS-ALUKA AN TUS'ALLIYA A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN WA AALI MUH'AMMAD WA AN TAJ-A'LAS-MEE FEE HAAD'IHIL LAYLATI FIS SU-A'DAAA-I WA ROOH'EE MA-ASH SHUHADAAA-I WA IH'SAANEE FEE I'LIYEENA WA ISAAA-ATEE MAGHFOORAH WA AN TAHABA LEE YAQEENAN TUBAASHIRU BIHEE QALBE WA EEMAANAN YUD'HIBUSH SHAKKA A'NNEE WA RIZ"AN BIMAA QASAMTA LEE WA AATINAA FID DUNYAA H'ASANATAN WA FIL AAKHIRATI H'ASANATAN WA QINAA A'D'AABIN NAARIL H'AREEQ WAR-ZUQNEE FEEHAA D'IKRAKA WA SHUKRAKA WAR RAGHBATA ILAYKA WAL INAABATA WAT TAWBAH WAT TAWFEQA LIMAA WAFFAQTA LAHOO MUH'AMMADAN WA AALI MUH'AMMADIN A'LAYHI WA A'LAYHIMUS SALAAM

O He Who makes night a covering, makes daylight for seeking livelihood, makes the earth an expanse, and mountains bulwarks! O Allah! O Dominant! O Allah! O Omnipotent! O Allah! O Allhearing! O Allah! O Nigh! O Allah! O Responding! O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! To You are the Most Excellent Names, the most elevated examples, greatness, and bounties. I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, include my name with the list of the happiest ones, add my soul to the martyrs, record my good deeds in the most exalted rank, decide my offense to be forgiven, grant me certitude that fills in my heart and faith that removes doubt from me, make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me, grant us reward in this world and reward in the Hereafter, save us from the torment of the burning Fire, and confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, desiring for You, turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.
