Text and Translation
Shaykh Kaf'ami, in his book Baladul Ameen, has narrated this dua from Ameer al-Momineen, Imam Ali (a.s.). Whenever a person in difficult circumstances recites it, the Almighty solves his problems.
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate
یَا عِمَادَ مَنْ لَا عِمَادَ لَہٗ
YAA E'MAADA MAN LAA E'MAADA LAHU
O Support of him who lacks support!
وَ یَا ذُخْرَ مَنْ لَا ذُخْرَ لَہٗ
WA YAA ZUKHRA MAN LAA ZUKHRA LAHU
O Hoard of him who lacks hoard!
وَ یَا سَنَدَ مَنْ لَا سَنَدَ لَہٗ
WA YAA SANADA MAN LAA SANADA LAHU
O Prop of him who lacks prop!
وَ یَا حِرْزَ مَنْ لَا حِرْزَ لَہٗ
WA YAA HIRZA MAN LAA HIRZA LAHU
O Shelter of him who lacks shelter!
وَ یَا غِیَاثَ مَنْ لَا غِیَاثَ لَہٗ
WA YAA GHEYAASA MAN LAA GHEYAASA LAHU
O Aid of him who is aidless!
وَ یَا كَنْزَ مَنْ لَا كَنْزَ لَہٗ
WA YAA KANZA MAN LAA KANZA LAHU
O Treasure of him who has no treasure!
وَ یَا عِزَّ مَنْ لَا عِزَّ لَہٗ
WA YAA I'ZZA MAN LAA I'ZZA LAHU
O Might of him who wants might!
یَا كَرِیْمَ الْعَفْوِ
YAA KAREEMAL A'FWE
O He Who pardons generously!
یَا حَسَنَ التَّجَاوُزِ
YAA HASANAT TAJAA-WOZE
O He Who overlooks excellently!
یَا عَوْنَ الضُّعَفَاۤءِ
YAA A'WNAZ ZO-A'FAA-E
O Helper of the weak!
یَا كَنْزَ الْفُقَرَاۤءِ
YAA KANZAL FOQARAA-E
O Treasure of the poor!
یَا عَظِیْمَ الرَّجَاۤءِ
YAA A'ZEEMAR RAJAA-E
O He Who is greatly hoped!
یَا مُنْقِذَ الْغَرْقیٰ
YAA MUNQEZAL GHARQAA
O Savior of the drowned!
یَا مُنْجِیَ الْھَلْكیٰ
YAA MUNJEYAL HALKAA
O Rescuer of the perishing!
یَا مُحْسِنُ یَا مُجْمِلُ یَا مُنْعِمُ یَا مُفْضِلُ
YAA MOHSENO YAA MUJMELO YAA MUN-E'MO YAA MUFZELO
O All-munificent! O All-benign! O All-gracious! O All-benevolent!
اَنْتَ الَّذِیْ سَجَدَ لَكَ سَوَادُ اللَّیْلِ وَ نُوْرُ النَّھَارِ وَ ضَوْءِ الْقَمَرِ وَ شُعَاعُ الشَّمْسِ وَ خَفِیْفُ الشَّجَرِ وَ دَوِیُّ الْمَاۤءِ
ANTAL LAZEE SAJADA LAKA SAWAADUL LAYLE WA NOORUN NAHAARE WA ZAW-UL QAMARE WA SHO-A'A-O'SH SHAMSE WA KHAFEEFUSH SHAJARE WA DAWIYYUL MAA-E
It is You alone before Whom the darkness of night has prostrated, as have the light of day, the brightness of the moon, the radiance of the sun, the rustle of trees, and the murmur of water.
یَاۤ اَللّٰهُ یَاۤ اَللّٰهُ یَاۤ اَللّٰهُ
YAA ALLAAHO, YAA ALLAAHO, YAA ALLAAHO
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!
لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِیْكَ لَكَ
LAA ELAAHA ILLAA ANTA, WAHDAKA LAA SHAREEKA LAKA
There is no god save You; You are the One and Only without having any partner.
یَا رَبَّاہُ یَاۤ اَللّٰهُ
YAA RABBAAHO YAA ALLAAHO
O my Lord! O Allah!
صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ افْعَلْ بِنَا مَاۤ اَنْتَ اَھْلُہٗ
SALLE A'LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMADIN, WAF-A'L BENAA MAA ANTA AHLOHU
(Please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and do to us all that which suits You.
After this, ask for your legitimate desires.
