Dua for rejuvenating the Hearts

Text and Translation

It is quoted from al-Mujtana, a man is reported to have seen the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) in dream and asked him to teach him a supplicatory prayer that would refresh his heart. Therefore, the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) taught him these words:

يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ،يَا لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْتَ اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُحْيِىَ قَلْبِىْۤ،اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

YAA HAYYO YAA QAYYOOMO, YAA LAA ELAAHA ILLAAA ANTA AS-ALOKA AN TOHYEYA QALBEE, ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining, O You besides Whom there is no god; I ask You to give life to my heart. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

The man commented, “When I repeated these words three times, Almighty Allah refreshed my heart.”
