Dua for Immediate Fulfillment

Text and Translation

Shaykh al-Kaf'ami, in al-Balad al-Amin, has mentioned this supplicatory prayer as reported from Imam Musa al-Kazim (a.s.), commenting that it is of great importance and achieves swiftness in response.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْۤ اَطَعْتُكَ فِيْۤ اَحَبِّ الْاَشْيَاۤءِ اِلَيْكَ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE ATA'TUKA FEE AHABBIL ASHYAAE ELAYKA

O Allah, I have certainly obeyed You in the most beloved thing to You,

وَ هُوَ التَّوْحِيْدُ

WA HOWAT TAWHEED

which is Your Oneness.

وَ لَمْ اَعْصِكَ فِيْۤ اَبْغَضِ الْاَشْيَاۤءِ اِلَيْكَ

WA LAM A'SEKA FEE ABGHAZIL ASHYAAE ELAYKA

I have not disobeyed you in the most hateful thing to You,

وَ هُوَ الْكُفْرُ

WA HOWAL KUFR

which is atheism.

فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا

FAGH-FIR LEE MAA BAYNAHOMAA

So, (please do) forgive me all that which lies between these two.

يَا مَنْ اِلَيْهِ مَفَرِّيْ

YAA MAN ELAYHE MAFARREE

O He to Whom is my alternative,

اٰمِنِّيْ مِمَّا فَزِعْتُ مِنْهُ اِلَيْكَ

AAMINNEE MIMMAA FAZE'TU MINHO ELAYKA

(please do) secure me against that from which I have escaped to You.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الْكَثِيْرَ مِنْ مَعَاصِيْكَ

ALLAAHUMMAGH FIR LIYAL KASEERA MIN MA'AASEEKA

O Allah, forgive me the many acts of disobedience to You that I have committed

وَ اقْبَلْ مِنِّيْ الْيَسِيْرَ مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ

WAQBAL MINNIL YASEERA MIN TAA'ATIKA

and accept from me the few acts of obedience to You that I have done.

يَا عُدَّتِيْ دُوْنَ الْعُدَدِ

YAA UDDATEE DOONAL UDAD

O my one and only expedient!

وَ يَا رَجَاۤئِيْ وَ الْمُعْتَمَدَ

WA YAA RAJAAEE WAL MO'TAMAD

O my Hope and my Reliance!

وَ يَا كَهْفِيْ وَ السَّنَدَ

WA YAA KAHFEE WAS SANAD

O my Shelter and my Support!

وَ يَا وَاحِدُ يَاۤ اَحَدُ

WA YAA WAAHIDO YAA AHAD

O One! O One and Only!

يَا قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ اَحَدٌ

YAA QUL HOWALLAAHO AHAD

Say: He, Allah, is One.

اَللهُ الصَّمَدُ

ALLAAHUS SAMAD

Allah is He on Whom all depend.

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَ لَمْ يُوْلَدْ

LAM YALID, WA LAM YOOLAD

He begets not, nor is He begotten.

وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ

WA LAM YAKUL LAHU KOFOWAN AHAD

And none is like Him.

اَسْاَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مَنِ اصْطَفَيْتَهُمْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

AS-ALOKA BEHAQQI MANISTAFAYTAHUM MIN KHALQIKA

I pray You, in the name of those whom You had selected from among Your beings

وَ لَمْ تَجْعَلْ فِيْ خَلْقِكَ مِثْلَهُمْ اَحَدًا

WA LAM TAJ'AL FEE KHALQIKA MITHLAHUM AHADAA

after You never created their examples amongst all of Your beings,

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهِ

AN TUSALLIYA ALAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALEHI

to bless Muhammad and his Household,

وَ تَفْعَلَ بِيْ مَاۤ اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ

WA TAF'ALA BEE MAA ANTA AHLOH

and to do to me all that which suits You.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيۤ اَسْاَلُكَ بِالْوَحْدَانِيَّةِ الْكُبْرٰى

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALOKA BIL WAHDAANIYYATIL KUBRAA

O Allah, I verily pray You in the name of the Grand Oneness,

وَ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةِ الْبَيْضَاۤءِ

WAL MOHAMMADIYYATIL BAYZAAE

the White Mohammedanism,

وَ الْعَلَوِيَّةِ الْعُلْيَا

WAL ALAWIYYATIL ULYAA

the Elevated 'Alawism,

وَ بِجَمِيْعِ مَا احْتَجَجْتَ بِهِ عَلٰى عِبَادِكَ

WA BEJAMEE'E MAHTAJAJTA BEHI ALAA IBAADIKA

in the name of all that which You have used as arguments against Your servants,

وَ بِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِيْ حَجَبْتَهُ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ

WA BIL ISMIL LAZEE HAJABTAHU AN KHALQIKA

and in the Name that You have concealed from Your creatures

فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْكَ اِلَّاۤ اِلَيْكَ
