Dua for fulfillment of wishes

Text and Translation

Reported to be the supplication of insistence. Shaykh al-Tusi, in Misbah al-Mutahajjid, mentions it to be said immediately after the fourth unit of the Night Prayer; al-Majlisi (compiler of Bihar al-Anwar) reported Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) recommending it in the single-unit Witr Prayer.

اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمٰوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ

ALLAAHUMMA RABBAS SAMAAWAATIS SAB-E WA MAA BAYNAHUNNA

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and what is between them,

وَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

WA RABBAL ARSHIL AZEEM

and Lord of the Mighty Throne,

وَ رَبَّ جَبْرَئِيْلَ وَ مِيْكَاۤئِيْلَ وَ اِسْرَافِيْلَ

WA RABBA JABRA-EELA WA MEEKAA-EELA WA ISRAAFEEL

and Lord of Jibra'il, Mika'il, and Israfil,

وَ رَبَّ الْقُرْاٰنِ الْعَظِيْمِ

WA RABBAL QUR-AANIL AZEEM

and Lord of the Great Qur'an,

وَ رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

WA RABBA MOHAMMADIN KHAATAMIN NABIYYEEN

and Lord of Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets,

اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ بِالَّذِيْ تَقُوْمُ بِهِ السَّمَاۤءُ وَ بِهِ تَقُوْمُ الْاَرْضُ

INNEE AS-ALOKA BILLAZEE TAQOOMO BEHIS SAMAA-O WA BEHI TAQOOMUL ARZO

verily I ask You by that through which the sky stands and through which the earth stands,

وَ بِهِ تُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ الْجَمْعِ وَ بِهِ تَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمُتَفَرِّقِ

WA BEHI TUFARRIQO BAYNAL JAM-E WA BEHI TAJMA-O BAYNAL MUTAFARRIQ

and through which You separate what is joined and join what is separated,

وَ بِهِ تَرْزُقُ الْاَحْيَاۤءَ

WA BEHI TARZUQUL AHYAA-A

and through which You give sustenance to the living,

وَ بِهِ اَحْصَيْتَ عَدَدَ الرِّمَالِ وَ وَزْنَ الْجِبَالِ وَ كَيْلَ الْبُحُوْرِ

WA BEHI AHSAYTA ADADAR REMAALE WA WAZNAL JEBAALE WA KAYLAL BUHOOR

and through which You have counted the number of the sands, the weight of the mountains, and the measure of the seas.

Having said this, invoke Allah's blessings upon the Holy Prophet and his Household and submit your request, preferably insistently.
