Text and Translation
Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) said: whenever a horrifying matter befalls you, turn toward the qiblah and offer a two-unit prayer. Once done, say this supplication seventy times, submitting your request each time you reach its end.
يَا اَبْصَرَ النَّاظِرِيْنَ
YAA ABSARAN NAAZIREEN
O Most Seeing of seers,
يَا اَسْمَعَ السَّامِعِيْنَ
YAA ASMA-A'S SAAMI-E'EN
O Most Hearing of hearers,
يَا اَسْرَعَ الْحَاسِبِيْنَ
YAA ASRA-A'L HAASIBEEN
O Swiftest of reckoners,
يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
YAA ARHAMAR RAAHIMEEN
O Most Merciful of the merciful.
