Khulasat al-Adhkar records this supplicatory prayer as one to recite before reading (a book or the like).
Text and Translation
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَخْرِجْنِىْ مِنْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْوَهْمِ
ALLAAHUMMA AKHRIJNEE MIN ZULUMAATIL WAHM
O Allah, bring me out of the darkness of illusion,
وَ اَكْرِمْنِىْ بِنُوْرِ الْفَهْمِ
WA AKRIMNEE BI-NOORIL FAHM
and honor me with the light of understanding.
اَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ عَلَيْنَاۤ اَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
ALLAAHUMMAFTAH A'LAYNAA ABWAABA RAHMATIKA
O Allah, open for us the doors of Your mercy
وَانْشُرْ عَلَيْنَا خَزَاۤئِنَ عُلُوْمِكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
WANSHUR A'LAYNAA KHAZAAA-INA U'LOOMIKA BI-RAHMATIKA
and spread over us the treasures of Your knowledge, by Your mercy,
يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
YAA ARHAMAR RAAHIMEEN
O Most Merciful of the merciful.
