Dua After Namaz For Seeking Sustenance

Text and Translation

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

BISMIL LAAHIRR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM.

اَللّٰھُمَّ یَا سَبَبَ مَنْ لَا سَبَبَ لَهٗ

ALLAAHUMMA YAA SABABA MAN LAA SABABA LAHU

O Allah, O the cause of one for whom there is no cause,

یَا سَبَبَ كُلِّ ذِیْ سَبَبٍ

YAA SABABA KULLE ZEE SABABIN

O cause of all that have cause.

یَا مُسَبِّبُ الْاَسْبَابِ بِغَیْرِ سَبَبٍ

YAA MOSABBEBA BE-GHAYRE SABABIN

O cause of causes in that where there is no cause.

صَلِّ عَلیٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMADINW

Bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad.

وَّاَغْنِنِیْ بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ

WA AGHNENEE BE-HALAALEKA A’N HARAAMEKA

Make me needless through Your permissible from Your prohibited.

وَبِطَاعَتِكَ عَنْ مَعْصِیَتِكَ

WA BE-TAA-A’TEKA A’N MA’SEYATEKA

And through Your obedience from Your disobedience

وَبِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

WA BE-FAZLEKA A’MMAN SEWAAKA

and by Your Grace from others than You.

یَا حَیُّ یَا قَیُّوْمُ یَا قَوِیُّ یَا غَنِیُّ یَا مَلِیُّ یَا وَفِیُّ

YAA HAYYO YAA QAYYOOMO YAA QAWIYYO YAA GHANIYYO YAA MALIYYO YAA WAFIYYO

O the Living, O the Self-Subsisting, O the Strong, O the Self-Sufficient, O the Wealthy, O the Faithful,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ

BERAHMATEKA YAA ARHAMAR RAAHIMEEN

by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
