(d) Fifteenth of Rajab (Namaz e Salman)

Text and Translation

It is recommended to offer the famous Salat Salman (The Prayer of Salman al-Farisi), which consists of thirty units:

On the first of Rajab, ten units are offered (in sets of two). In each unit, recite [Surah al-Fatihah](A5) once, [Surah al-Tawhid](A116) three times, and [Surah al-Kafirun](A113) three times.

On the fifteenth of Rajab, another ten units are offered with the same surahs.

After concluding the prayer on the fifteenth, raise your hands towards the sky and say:

لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِيْ وَ يُمِيْتُ وَ هُوَ حَيٌّ لَّا يَمُوْتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَ هُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHU WAHDAHOO LAA SHAREEKA LAH, LAHUL MULKU WA LAHUL HAMDU YUHYEE WA YUMEETU WA HUWA HAYYUL LAA YAMOOTU BI-YADIHIL KHAYRU WA HUWA A'LAA KULLI SHAY-IN QADEER

There is no god save Allah, alone without partner. His is the kingdom and His is the praise; He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-living and does not die; in His hand is all good, and He has power over all things.

اِلٰهًا وَاحِدًا اَحَدًا صَمَدًا فَرْدًا لَّمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَّ لَا وَلَدًا

ILAAHAN WAAHIDAN AHADAN SAMADAN FARDAL LAM YATTAKHIDH SAHIBATAN WA LAA WALADAA

One, Single, Besought of all, Unique God; He has taken neither a consort nor a son.
