Another Dua Tawassul

Text and Translation

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلٰى اِبْنَتِهِ وَعَلٰى اِبْنَيْهَا وَاَسْئَلُكَ بِهِمْ اَنْ تُعِيْنَنِىْ عَلٰى طَاعَتِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA A'LAA IBNATIHI WA A'LAA IBNAYHAA WA AS-ALUKA BIHIM AN TU-I'NANEE A'LAA TAA-A'TIKA WA RIDWAANIKA

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, his daughter, and her two sons, and I ask You by them to help me in obeying You and attaining Your pleasure,

وَاَنْ تُبَلِّغَنِىْ بِهِمْ اَفْضَلَ مَا بَلَّغْتَ اَحَدًا مِنْ اَوْلِيَاۤئِكَ اِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيْمٌ

WA AN TUBALLIGHANEE BIHIM AFDALA MAA BALLAGHTA AHADAM MIN AWLIYAAA-IKA INNAKA JAWAADUN KAREEM

and to grant me, in their name, the best of what You have granted any of Your intimate servants; verily You are munificent, generous.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ عَلِىِّ بْنِ اَبِىْ طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI AMEERIL MU'MINEENA A'LEE-YIBNI ABEE TAALIBIN A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا انْتَقَمْتَ بِهِ مِمَّنْ ظَلَمَنِىْ وَغَشَمَنِىْ وَاٰذَانِىْ وَانْطَوٰى عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ

ILLAN TAQAMTA BIHI MIMMAN ZALAMANEE WA GHASHAMANEE WA AAZAANEE WANTAWAA A'LAA ZAALIK

to take revenge, through him, on whoever has wronged me, oppressed me, harmed me, or harbors that intent,

وَكَفَيْتَنِىْ بِهِ مَؤُنَةَ كُلِّ اَحَدٍ يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

WA KAFAYTANEE BIHI MOO-NATA KULLI AHADIN YAA ARHAMAR RAAHIMEEN

and to spare me, through him, the burden of everyone else, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKA A'LEE-YIBNIL HUSAYNI A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant, Ali ibn al-Husayn, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا كَفَيْتَنِىْ بِهِ مَؤُنَةَ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَرِيْدٍ وَسُلْطَانٍ عَنِيْدٍ

ILLAA KAFAYTANEE BIHI MOO-NATA KULLI SHAYTAANIM MAREEDIN WA SULTAANIN A'NEED

to spare me, through him, the burden of every rebellious devil and every obstinate tyrant

يَتَقَوّٰى عَلَىَّ بِبَطْشِهِ وَيَنْتَصِرُ عَلَىَّ بِجُنْدِهِ اِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيْمٌ يَا وَهَّابُ

YATAQAWWAA A'LAYYA BI-BATSHIHI WA YANTASIRU A'LAYYA BI-JUNDIHI INNAKA JAWAADUN KAREEMUY YAA WAHHAAB

who grows strong against me by his violence and prevails against me with his forces; verily You are munificent, generous, O Bestower.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيَّيْكَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYAYKA MUHAMMADIBNI A'LEE-YIN WA JA'FARIBNI MUHAMMADIN A'LAYHIMAS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your two intimate servants, Muhammad ibn Ali and Ja'far ibn Muhammad, peace be upon them,

اِلَّا اَعَنْتَنِىْ بِهِمَا عَلٰى اَمْرِ اٰخِرَتِىْ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

ILLAA A'ANTANEE BIHIMAA A'LAA AMRI AAKHIRATEE BI-TAA-A'TIKA WA RIDWAANIKA

to help me, through them, in the affairs of my Hereafter through obedience to You and Your pleasure,

وَبَلَّغْتَنِىْ بِهِمَا مَا يُرْضِيْكَ اِنَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِمَا تُرِيْدُ

WA BALLAGHTANEE BIHIMAA MAA YURDEEKA INNAKA FA-A'A'LUL LIMAA TUREED

and to bring me, through them, to whatever pleases You; verily You do whatever You will.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ مُوْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKA MOOSAA IBNI JA'FARIN A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant, Musa ibn Ja'far, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا عَافَيْتَنِىْ بِهِ فِىْ جَمِيْعِ جَوَارِحِىْ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَابَطَنَ يَا جَوَادُ يَا كَرِيْمُ

ILLAA A'AAFAYTANEE BIHI FEE JAMEE-I' JAWAARIHEE MAA ZAHARA MINHAA WA MAA BATAN YAA JAWAADO YAA KAREEM

to grant me well-being, through him, in all my faculties — outward and inward — O Munificent, O Generous.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ الرِّضَا عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوْسٰى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKAR RIDAA A'LEE-YIBNI MOOSAA A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant, al-Rida Ali ibn Musa, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا سَلَّمْتَنِىْ بِهِ فِىْ جَمِيْعِ اَسْفَارِىْ فِى الْبَرَارِىْ وَالْبِحَارِ وَالْجِبَالِ والْقِفَارِ وَالْاَوْدِيَةِ وَالْغِيَاضِ

ILLAA SALLAMTANEE BIHI FEE JAMEE-I' ASFAAREE FIL BARAAREE WAL BIHAARI WAL JIBAALI WAL QIFAARI WAL AWDIYATI WAL GHIYAAD

to keep me safe, through him, in all my journeys — on land and sea, in mountains, deserts, valleys, and forests —

مِنْ جَمِيْعِ مَا اَخَافُهُ وَاَحْذَرُهُ اِنَّكَ رَؤُفٌ رَحِيْمٌ

MIN JAMEE-I' MAA AKHAAFUHU WA AHZARUHU INNAKA RA-OOFUR RAHEEM

from all that I fear or am wary of; verily You are kind, merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKA MUHAMMADIBNI A'LEE-YIN A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant, Muhammad ibn Ali, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا جُدْتَ بِهِ عَلَىَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَتَفَضَّلْتَ بِهِ عَلىَّ مِنْ وُسْعِكَ وَوَسَّعْتَ عَلَىَّ رِزْقَكَ

ILLAA JUDTA BIHI A'LAYYA MIN FADLIKA WA TAFADDALTA BIHI A'LAYYA MIN WUS-I'KA WA WASSA'TA A'LAYYA RIZQAK

to be generous with me, through him, from Your bounty, to favor me, through him, from Your abundance, and to expand my sustenance,

وَاَغْنَيْتَنِىْ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ وَجَعَلْتَ حَاجَتِىْ اِلَيْكَ وَقَضَاهَا عَلَيْكَ اِنَّكَ لِمَا تَشَاۤءُ قَدِيْرٌ

WA AGHNAYTANEE A'MMAN SIWAAKA WA JA-A'LTA HAAJATEE ILAYKA WA QADAAHAA A'LAYKA INNAKA LIMAA TASHAAA-O QADEER

and to make me needless of anyone but You, placing my need with You alone for You to settle; verily You have power over whatever You will.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKA A'LEE-YIBNI MUHAMMADIN A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant, Ali ibn Muhammad, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا اَعَنْتَنِىْ بِهِ عَلٰى تَاْدِيَةِ فُرُوْضِكَ وَبِرِّ اِخْوَانِىَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَسَهِّلْ ذٰلِكَ لِىْ وَاقْرُنْهُ بِالْخَيْرِ

ILLAA A'ANTANEE BIHI A'LAA TA-DIYATI FUROODIKA WA BIRRI IKHWAANIYAL MU'MINEENA WA SAHHIL ZAALIKA LEE WAQRUNHU BIL KHAYR

to help me, through him, to fulfil Your obligations and to be dutiful to my believing brethren, making that easy for me and joining it with good,

وَاَعِنِّىْ عَلٰى طَاعَتِكَ بِفَضْلِكَ يَا رَحِيْمُ

WA A'INNEE A'LAA TAA-A'TIKA BI-FADLIKA YAA RAHEEM

and to help me obey You through Your bounty, O Merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKAL HASANIBNI A'LEE-YIN A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant, al-Hasan ibn Ali, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا اَعَنْتَنِىْ بِهِ عَلٰى اَمْرِ اٰخِرَتِىْ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

ILLAA A'ANTANEE BIHI A'LAA AMRI AAKHIRATEE BI-TAA-A'TIKA WA RIDWAANIKA

to help me, through him, in the affairs of my Hereafter through obedience to You and Your pleasure,

وَسَرَرْتَنِىْ فِىْ مُنْقَلَبِىْ وَمَثْوَاىَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

WA SARARTANEE FEE MUNQALABEE WA MATHWAAYA BI-RAHMATIKA YAA ARHAMAR RAAHIMEEN

and to gladden me in my return and my final abode through Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ وَحُجَّتِكَ صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-HAQQI WALIYYIKA WA HUJJATIKA SAAHIBIZ ZAMAANI A'LAYHIS SALAAM

O Allah, I ask You by the right of Your intimate servant and Proof, the Master of the Age, peace be upon him,

اِلَّا اَعَنْتَنِىْ بِهِ عَلٰى جَمِيْعِ اُمُوْرِىْ وَكَفَيْتَنِىْ بِهِ مَؤُنَةَ كُلِّ مُوْذٍ وَطَاغٍ وَبَاغٍ

ILLAA A'ANTANEE BIHI A'LAA JAMEE-I' UMOOREE WA KAFAYTANEE BIHI MOO-NATA KULLI MOOZIN WA TAAGHIN WA BAAGH
