Another Dua for Ailing Diseases

Text and Translation

An ailed person is recommended to purchase one sa' of wheat, lie on his back, disperse the wheat grains on his chest, and say the following supplicatory prayer:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِىْ اِذَا سَئَلَكَ بِهِ الْمُضْطَرُّ كَشَفْتَ مَا بِهٖ مِنْ ضُرٍّ وَّ مَكَّنْتَ لَهٗ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَ جَعَلْتَهٗ خَلِيْفَتَكَ عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰى اَهْلِ بَيْتِهٖ وَ اَنْ تُعَافِيَنِىْ مِنْ عِلَّتِىْ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BISMIKAL LAZEE IZAA SA-ALAKA BIHIL MUDTARRU KASHAFTA MAA BIHI MIN DURRIW WA MAKKANTA LAHU FIL ARD WA JA-A'LTAHU KHALEEFATAKA A'LAA KHALQIKA, AN TUSALLIYA A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA A'LAA AHLI BAYTIHI WA AN TU'AAFIYANEE MIN I'LLATEE

O Allah, I ask You by Your name which, when the distressed one calls upon You by it, You remove whatever harm is upon him, establish him upon the earth, and make him Your vicegerent over Your creation — [I ask] that You send blessings upon Muhammad and upon his Household, and that You restore me to health from my ailment.

He may then sit, gather the wheat grains around him, repeat the same supplicatory prayer, divide the wheat grains into four shares, give each share to a poor man, and repeat the same supplicatory prayer. Once an ailed person does all that, he will be restored to health, Allah willing.
