Imam al-Sadiq (a) is reported to have instructed saying the following supplicatory prayer every night in Ramadan:
ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA AN TAJ-A'LA FEEMAA TAQDEE WA TUQADDIRU MINAL AMRIL MAHTOOMI FIL AMRIL HAKEEMI MINAL QADAAA-IL LAZEE LAA YURADDU WA LAA YUBADDAL
O Allah, I ask You that, among what You decree and ordain from the decisive matter, in the wise command, from the destiny that is not reversed nor changed,
AN TAKTUBANEE MIN HUJJAAJI BAYTIKAL HARAAMIL MABROORI HAJJUHUMUL MASHKOORI SA-I'YUHUMUL MAGHFOORI ZUNOOBUHUMUL MUKAFFARI A'N SAYYI-AATIHIM
You inscribe me among the pilgrims of Your Sacred House — whose pilgrimage is accepted, whose effort is thanked, whose sins are forgiven, and whose bad deeds are absolved,
WA AN TAJ-A'LA FEEMAA TAQDEE WA TUQADDIRU AN TUTEELA U'MREE FEE KHAYRIN WA A'AAFIYATIN WA TUWASSI-A' FEE RIZQEE
and that You decree, among what You ordain, to prolong my life in goodness and well-being, and to expand my sustenance,
WA TAJ-A'LANEE MIMMAN TANTASIRU BIHI LI-DEENIKA WA LAA TASTABDIL BEE GHAYREE
and to make me one through whom You grant victory to Your religion, and not replace me with another.
According to Anis al-Salihin, it is recommended to say the following every night in Ramadan:
A'OOZU BI-JALAALI WAJHIKAL KAREEMI AY YANQADIYA A'NNEE SHAHRU RAMADAAN
I seek refuge in the majesty of Your generous Countenance from the month of Ramadan passing over me,
AW YATLU-A'L FAJRU MIN LAYLATEE HAAZIHI WA LAKA QIBALEE TABI-A'TUN AW ZAMBUN TU-A'ZZIBUNEE A'LAYH
or the dawn breaking upon this night of mine while any liability or sin remains against me for which You would punish me.
In the margin of al-Balad al-Amin, al-Kaf'ami reports on the authority of Sayyid Ibn Baqi that it is recommended to offer a two-unit prayer every night in Ramadan, reciting in the first unit [Surah al-Faatehah](A5) once and [Surah al-Ikhlas](A116) three times, and likewise in the second unit. After finishing, it is recommended to say:
SUBHAANA MAN HUWA HAFEEZUL LAA YAGHFUL
Glory be to Him who is Watchful and never heedless,
SUBHAANA MAN HUWA RAHEEMUL LAA YA'JAL
Glory be to Him who is Merciful and never hasty,
SUBHAANA MAN HUWA QAAA-IMUL LAA YASHU
Glory be to Him who is Ever-standing and never forgetful,
SUBHAANA MAN HUWA DAAA-IMUL LAA YALHU
Glory be to Him who is Everlasting and never distracted.
Then it is recommended to say the Four Statements of Glorification (al-Tasbihat al-Arba'ah):
SUBHAANAL LAAHI WAL HAMDU LILLAAHI WA LAA ILAAHA ILLAL LAAHU WALLAAHO AKBAR
Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.
Then it is recommended to implore forgiveness by saying:
SUBHAANAKA SUBHAANAKA SUBHAANAKA YAA A'ZEEMUGH FIR LIYAZ ZAMBAL A'ZEEM
Glory be to You, glory be to You, glory be to You; O Most Great, forgive me the great sin.
Then it is recommended to invoke blessings upon the Holy Prophet and his Household ten times:
ALLAAHUMMA SALLI A'LAA MUHAMMADIN WA A'LAA AALIH
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household.
Whoever offers this prayer in this form will have seventy thousand sins forgiven by Almighty Allah.
According to a hadith, whoever recites [Surah al-Fath](A52) in an obligatory prayer will be kept safe throughout that year.
