Ziyaarat of sons of Janab-e-Muslim (a.s.)

Text and Translation

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا یَا قُرَّتَیْ عَیْنِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A'LAYKOMAA YAA QURRATAY A'YNE RASOOLIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you both, O two comforts of the eye of the Messenger of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا یَا فَلْذَتَیْ كَبَدِ ابْنِ عَمِّ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ASSALAMO A'LAYKOMAA YAA FALZATAY KABADIB NE A'MME RASOOLIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you both, O two pieces of the heart of the cousin of the Messenger of Allah [Muslim ibn Aqil, the cousin of Imam al-Husayn]!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا یَا نَاصِرَیْ سِبْطِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A'LAYKOMAA YAA NAASERAY SIBTE RASOOLIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you both, O two helpers of the grandson of the Messenger of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا السَّابِقَانِ فِی الشَّهَادَۃِ مِنْ ذِیْ رَحْمِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A'LAYKOMAA AYYOHAS SAABEQAANE FISH SHAHAADATE MIN ZEE RAHME RASOOLIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you both, O you two who preceded others in martyrdom from among the close kindred of the Messenger of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا الشَّهِیْدَانِ فِیْ نُصْرَۃِ دِیْنِ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKOMAA AYYOHASH SHAHEEDAANE FEE NUSRATE DEENIL LAAHE

Peace be upon you both, O two martyrs in the cause of assisting the religion of Allah!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا الْمَظْلُوْمَانِ الْقَتِیْلَانِ بِاَرْضِ كَرْبَلَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKOMAA AYYOHAL MAZLOOMANIL QATEELAANE BE-ARZE KARBALAA

Peace be upon you both, O two oppressed ones, slain in the land of Karbala!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا الْمُظْلُوْمَانِ بِاَیْدِی الْاَشْقِیَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKOMAA AYYOHAL MAZLOOMAANE BE-AYDIL ASHKEYAAE

Peace be upon you both, O two oppressed ones at the hands of the most wretched of creation!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا الْمُخَلَّفَانِ مِنْ مُسْلِمِ ابْنِ عَقِیْلٍ اَلْقَتِیْلِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKOMAA AYYOHAL MOKHALLAFAANE MIN MUSLIM IBNE AQEELIN ALQATEEL

Peace be upon you both, O two left behind by the slain Muslim ibn Aqil!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا الذَّبِیْحَانِ مِنْ نَسْلِ اِسْمٰعَیْلَ

ASSALAMO A’LAYKOMAA AYYOHAZ ZABEEHAANE MIN NASLE ISMAAE'ELA

Peace be upon you both, O two sacrificed ones from the lineage of Ishmael!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا اَیُّهَا الْحَیَّانِ الْمَرْزُوْقَانِ عِنْدَ رَبِّکُمَا الْجَلِیْلِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKOMAA AYYOHAL HAYYAANIL MARZOOQAANE I'NDA RABBEKOMAL JALEELE

Peace be upon you both, O two living ones, sustained in the presence of your Majestic Lord!

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّکُمَا جَاهَدْتُمَا فِیْ نُصْرَۃِ دِیْنِ اللهِ

ASH-HADO ANNAKOMA JAAHADTOMA FEE NUSRATE DEENIL LAAHE

I bear witness that you both strived in assisting the religion of Allah

وَ حِمَایَۃِ عِتْرَۃِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ حَقَّ الْجِهَادِ

WA HEMAAYATE I'TRATE RASOOLIL LAAHE HAQQAL JEHAADE

and in defending the progeny of the Messenger of Allah with the truest striving.

فَجَزَاکُمَا اللهُ عَنْهُ وَ عَنْ نَبِیِّہٖ وَ اَهْلَ بَیْتِہٖ

FA-JAZAAKOMAL LAAHO A'NHO WA A'N NABIYYEHI WA AHLE BAYTEHI

May Allah reward you both—on behalf of the religion, His Prophet, his Household,

وَ عَنِ الْاِسْلَامِ وَ اَهْلِہٖ اَفْضَلَ جَزَاءِ الشُّهَدَاءِ

WA A'NIL ISLAAME WA AHLEHI AFZALA JAZAAISH SHOHADAAE

and on behalf of Islam and its people—with the most excellent reward of the martyrs,

وَ اَنْمٰی حُظُوْظِ السُّعَدَاءِ وَ اَرْفَعَ دَرَجَاتِ الْاَتْقِیَاءِ

WA ANMAA HOZOOZIS SOA'DAAE WA A'RFA-A DARAJAATIL ATQ'EYAAE

the most flourishing fortunes of the blissful, and the loftiest stations of the god-fearing.

وَ اَلْحَقَکُمَا اللهُ وَ اِیَّانَا بِحَقِّکُمَا

WA ALHAQAKOMAL LAAHO WA IYYAANA BE-HAQQEKOMA

May Allah join you both and us together, by your right

وَ بِاٰبَائِکُمَا الشُّرَفَاءِ مِنَ الْاَنْبِیَاءِ

WA BE-AABAAEKOMASH SHORAFAAE MENAL AMBEYAAAE

and by the right of your noble forefathers from among the Prophets,

وَ الْاَوْصِیَاءِ وَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ الصُّلَحَاءِ

WAL AWSEYAAAE WASH SHOHADAAAE WAS SOLAHAAAE

the executors (Awsiya), the martyrs, and the righteous—

وَ حَسُنَ اُوْلٰئِكَ رَفِیْقًا

WA HASONA OOLAAAEKA RAFEEQAN

and how excellent are those as companions!

وَ لَا خَیَّبَنَا اللهُ مِنْ هٰذِهِ السَّعَادَۃِ

WA LAA KHAYYABANAL LAAHO MIN HAAZEHIS SA-A'ADATE

And may Allah never deprive us of this ultimate bliss

وَ شَفَاعَۃِ هٰؤُلَآءِ الشُّفَعَاءِ

WA SHAFAA-A'TE HAA-OOLAAISH SHOFA-A’AE

and the intercession of these intercessors.

اٰمِیْنَ یَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

AAMEENA YAA RABBAL A'ALAMEENA

Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمَا وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ.

WAS SALAAMO A’LAYKOMAA WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU.

And peace be upon you both, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
