Ziyarah Rajabiyah (الحمد الله الذی اشهدنا)

Text and Translation

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِیْ اَشْهَدَنَا مَشْهَدَ اَوْلِیٰآئِهٖ فِیْ رَجَبٍ

ALHAMDO LILLAAHIL LAZEE ASH-HADANAA MASHHADA AWLEYAAEHI FEE RAJABIN,

All praise be to Allah Who has allowed us to visit the shrine of His Saints in Rajab

وَّ اَوْجَبَ عَلَیْنَا مِنْ حَقِّهِمْ مَا قَدْ وَجَبَ

WA AWJABA A’LAYNAA MIN HAQQEHIM MAA QAD WAJABA

and has made obligatory upon us their rights that are obligatory;

وَ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ نِالْمُنْتَجَبِ

WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA MOHAMMADENIL MUNTAJABE,

and may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad, the divinely selected,

وَ عَلٰٓی اَوْصِیَآئِهِ الْحُجُبِ

WA A’LAA AWSEYAA-EHIL HOJOBE.

and upon his Successors, the doors to Him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَكَمَآ اَشْهَدْتَنَا مَشْهَدَهُمْ فَاَنْجِزْ لَنَا مَوْعِدَهُمْ

ALLAAHUMMA FAKAMAA ASH-HADTANAA MASHHATAHUM FA-ANJIZ LANAA MAW-E’DAHUM

O Allah: as You have allowed us to visit their shrines, please do fulfill for us the promises that You have made with them;

وَ اَوْرِدْنَا مَوْرِدَهُمْ غَیْرَ مُحَلَّئِیْنَ عَنْ وِرْدٍ فِیْ دَارِ الْمُقَامَۃِ

WA AWRIDNAA MAWREDAHUM, GHAYRA MOHALLA-EENA A’N WIRDIN FEE DAARIL MOQAAMATE

and include us with them and do not include us with those whom shall be prevented from drinking from the (Divine) Pool in the abode of eternity

وَ الْخُلْدِ وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكُمْ اِنِّیْ قَصَدْتُّكُمْ

WAL KHULDE WAS SALAAMO A’LAYKUM, INNEE QAD QASADTOKUM

and perpetuity. And peace be upon you all. I have turned my face towards you

وَ اعْتَمَدْتُّكُمْ بِمَسْئَلَتِیْ وَ حَاجَتِیْ وَ هِیَ فَكَاكُ رَقَبَتِیْ مِنَ النَّارِ

WA’ TAMADTOKUM BE-MAS-ALATEE WA HAAJATEE WA HEYA FAKAAKO RAQABATEE MENAN NAARE,

and directed to you carrying my query and need with me, which is the release of my neck from Hellfire

وَ الْمَقَرُّ مَعَكُمْ فِیْ دَارِ الْقَرَارِ مَعَ شِیْعَتِكُمُ الْاَبْرَارِ

WAL MAQARRO MA-A’KUM FEE DAARIL QARAARE, MA-A’ SHEE-A’TEKOMUL ABRAARE,

and the settlement with you in the Abode of Settlement, with your pious adherents (Shia).

وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَ الدَّارِ

WAS SALAAMO A’LAYKUM BEMAA SABARTUM FA-NEA’MA U’QBAD DAARE,

And peace be upon you all for that you persevered in patience. Now how excellent is the final home!

اَنَا سَائِلُكُمْ وَ آمِلُكُمْ فِیْمَا اِلَیْكُمْ التَّفْوِیْضُ

ANAA SAA-ELOKUM WA AAMELOKUM FEEMA ELAYKOMUT TAFWEEZO,

I hereby beg you and put my hope in you as regards the matters in which you have the right to act and recompense.

وَ عَلَیْكُمُ التَّعْوِیْضُ فَبِكُمْ یُجْبَرُ الْمَهِیْضُ وَ یُشْفَی الْمَرِیْضُ

WA A’LAYKOMUT TA’WEEZO, FA-BEKUM YUJBERUL MAHEEZO, WA YUSHFAL MAREEZO,

Truly, through you only are the hopeless restored (to good condition) and through you only are the ailed healed

وَ مَا تَزْدَادُ الْاَرْحَامُ وَ مَا تَغِیْضُ اِنِّیْ بِسِرِّكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ

WA MAA TAZDAADUL ARHAAMO WA MAA TAGHEEZO, INNEE BE-SIRREKUM MOAMENUN,

and that which the wombs absorb and that which they grow. Verily, I have full faith in your Secret

وَّ لِقَوْلِكُمْ مُسَلِّمٌ وَّ عَلَی اللهِ بِكُمْ مُقْسِمٌ فِیْ رَجْعِیْ بِحَوَآئِجِیْ

WA LEQAWLEKUM MOSALLEMUN, WA A’LAL LAAHE BEKUM MUQSEMUN FEE RAJ-E’E BE-HAWAAEJEE

and I am fully submissive to your words and I thus ask you by Allah to settle,

وَ قَضَآئِهَا وَ اِمْضَآئِهَا وَ اِنْجَاحِهَا وَ اِبْرَاحِهَا وَ بِشُؤُوْنِیْ لَدَیْكُمْ

WA QAZAAEHAA WA IMZAA-EHAA WA INJAAHEHAA WA IBRAAHEHAA WA BE-SHO-OONEE LADAYKUM

respond to, give success to, and set aright all my needs

وَ صَلَاحِهَا وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكُمْ سَلَامَ مُوَدِّعٍ

WA SALAAHEHAA WAS-SALAAMO A’LAYKUM SALAAMA MOWADDE-I’N

and all my affairs towards you. Peace be upon you from one who bids you farewell

وَّ لَكُمْ حَوَآئِجَهٗ مُوْدِعٌ یَّسْئَلُ اللهَ اِلَیْكُمُ الْمَرْجِعَ

WA LAKUM HAWAA-EJOHU MOODE-U’N YAS-ALUL LAAHA ELAYKOMUL MARJE-A’

and puts all his needs with you praying Allah for another visit to you

وَ سَعْیُهٗ اِلَیْكُمْ غَیْرَ مُنْقَطِعٍ وَّ اَنْ یَّرْجِعَنِیْ مِنْ حَضْرَتِكُمْ

WA SA’YOHU ELAYKUM GHAYRA MUNQATE-I’N WA ANY YARJE-A’NEE MIN HAZRATEKUM

since his hope is never cut off from you. I also pray Him to make my departure successful to a productive place,

خَیْرَ مَرْجِعٍ اِلٰی جَنَابٍ مُّمْرِعٍ وَّ خَفْضِ مُوَسَّعٍ وَّ دَعَۃٍ

KHAYRA MARJE-I’N ELAA JANAABIN MUMRE-I’N WA KHAFZIN MOWASSE-I’N WA DA-A’TIN

a fruitful area, comfort, and luxurious up to the befalling of death;

وَّ مَهَلٍّ اِلٰی حِیْنِ الْاَجَلِ وَ خَیْرِ مَصِیْرٍ وَّ مَحَلٍّ فِی النَّعِیْمِ الْاَزَلِ

WA MAHALLIN ELAA HEENIL AJALE WA KHAYRE MASEERINW WA MAHALLIN FIN NA-E’EMIL AZALE,

and also [I pray Him] for the best destiny and abode in the Eternal Bliss,

وَ الْعَیْشِ الْمُقْتَبَلِ وَ دَوَامِ الْاُكُلِ وَ شُرْبِ الرَّحِیْقِ

WAL A’YSHIL MUQTABALE, WA DAWAAMIL OKOLE, WA SHURBIR RAHEEQE

the affluent living, the perpetual fruit, the drinking from the pure drink

وَ السَّلْسَلِ وَ عَلٍّ وَّ نَهَلٍ لَا سَاَمَ مِنْهُ وَ لَا مَلَلَ

WAS SALSALE WA A’LLIN WA NAHALIN LAA SA-AMA MINHO WA LAA MALALA

and the divine spring whose drink is refreshing and thirst-quenching that is never bored or fed up.

وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهٗ وَ تَحِیَّاتُهٗ عَلَیْكُمْ حَتّٰی الْعَوْدِ

WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU WA TAHIYYATOHU A’LAYKUM HATTAL A’WDE

Allah’s mercy, blessings and salutations be upon you incessantly until I return

اِلٰی حَضْرَتِكُمْ وَ الْفَوْزِ فِیْ كَرَّتِكُمْ وَ الْحَشْرِ فِیْ زُمْرَتِكُمْ

ELAA HAZRATEKUM, WAL FAWZE FEE KARRATEKUM, WAL HASHER FEE ZUMRATEKUM,

to your presence and win the honor of visiting you again and the honor of being resurrected with your group.

وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهٗ عَلَیْكُمْ

WAS SALAAMO A’LAYKUM WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU A’LAYKUM

Allah’s mercy, blessings, benedictions, and salutations be upon you,

وَ صَلَوَاتُهٗ وَ تَحِیَّاتُهٗ وَ هُوَ حَسْبُنَا وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِیْلُ.

WA SALAWAATOHU WA TAHIYYAATOHU, WA HOWA HASBONAA WA NE’MAL WAKEELO.
