The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, “Whoever supplicates with these Names, Allah – Mighty and Majestic be He – will answer his pleas.” And he (viz. Ameerul Momineen Ali a.s.) said, ‘If these Names are supplicated with on plates of steel, the steel will melt away with permission of Allah – Mighty and Majestic be He.” And he (s.a.w.a.) said, “I swear by the One Who raised me as a Prophet with truth! If a man who is severely struck with hunger and thirst, prays with these Names, his hunger and thirst will be dispelled. I swear by the One Who raised me as a Prophet! If a man supplicated with these Names on a mountain which is between him and the place that he intends, the mountain will vanish as he intends till he treads through it. I swear by the One Who raised me as a Prophet with truth! If he prays this supplication in front of an insane person, he will recover from his insanity. And if he prays this supplication for a woman who has difficulty in giving birth, certainly Allah will make it easy for her to give birth. And he (s.a.w.a.) said, “If a man prays with this supplication in a city while the city is burning and his house right in the middle of the city, his house will be saved and not burn. And if a person prays this supplication for forty nights of Friday (Shab-e-Jum’ah), Allah – Mighty and Majestic be He – will forgive all his sins that are between him and Allah; even if he has committed adultery with a slave-girl, Allah will forgive it. I swear by the One Who raised me as a Prophet with truth! An aggrieved person does not recite this supplication but that Allah – the Generous – dispel his grief in the world as well as the Hereafter on account of His Mercy. I swear by the One Who raised me as a Prophet! None will pray this supplication near an oppressive king before entering upon him and seeing him but that Allah will make that king obedient to him and protect him from the King’s evil – if Allah wills – and this supplication is as follows:
