48: al-Fath الفتح

Text and Translation

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

اِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُّبِيْنًا ۙ‏(1)

INNAA FATAHNA LAKA FAT-HAM MOBEENAA.

Indeed We have inaugurated for you a clear victory,

لِّيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللّٰهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْۢبِكَ وَ مَا تَاَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهٗ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيْمًا ۙ‏(2)

LEYAGHFERA LAKAL LAAHO MAA TAQADDAMA MIN ZAMBEKA WA MAA TA-AKHKHARA WA YOTIMMA NE’MATAHU A’LAYKA WA YAHDEYAKA SERAATAM MUSTAQEEMAA.

that Allah may forgive you what is past of your sin and what is to come, and that He may perfect His blessing upon you and guide you on a straight path,

وَّ يَنْصُرَكَ اللّٰهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيْزًا‏(3)

WA YANSORAKAL LAAHO NASRAN A’ZEEZAA.

and Allah will help you with a mighty help.

هُوَ الَّذِىْۤ اَنْزَلَ السَّكِيْنَةَ فِىْ قُلُوْبِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ لِيَزْدَادُوْۤا اِيْمَانًا مَّعَ اِيْمَانِهِمْ ؕ وَلِلّٰهِ جُنُوْدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا ۙ‏(4)

HOWAL LAZEE ANZALAS SAKEENATA FEE QOLOOBIL MOA-MENEENA LEYAZDAADU EEMAANAM MA-A’ EEMAANEHIM WA LILLAAHE JONOODUS SAMAAWAATE WAL ARZE, WA KAANAL LAAHO A’LEEMAN HAKEEMAA.

It is He who sent down composure into the hearts of the faithful that they might enhance in their faith. To Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

لِّيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّاٰتِهِمْؕ وَكَانَ ذٰ لِكَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيْمًا ۙ‏(5)

LEYUDKHELAL MOA-MENEENA WAL MOA-MENAATE JANNAATIN TAJREE MIN TAHTEHAL ANHAARO KHAALEDEENA FEEHAA WA YOKAFFERA A’NHUM SAYYE-AATEHIM, WA KAANA ZAALEKA I’NDAL LAAHE FAWZAN A’ZEEMAA.

That He may admit the faithful, men and women, into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], and that He may absolve them of their misdeeds. That is a great success with Allah.

وَّيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقٰتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ وَ الْمُشْرِكٰتِ الظَّآنِّيْنَ بِاللّٰهِ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِؕ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ السَّوْءِ ۚ وَ غَضِبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَؕ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيْرًا‏(6)

WA YOA’ZZEBAL MONAAFEQEENA WAL MONAAFEQAATE WAL MUSHREKEENA WAL MUSHREKAATIZ ZAAANNEENA BILLAAHE ZANNAS SAW, A’LAYHIM DAA-ERATUS SAW, WA GHAZEBAL LAAHO A’LAYHIM WA LA’NAHUM WA A-A’DDA LAHUM JAHANNAM, WA SAA-AT MASEERAA.

That He may punish the hypocrites, men and women, and the polytheists, men and women, who entertain a bad opinion of Allah. For them shall be an adverse turn of fortune: Allah is wrathful with them and He has cursed them, and prepared hell for them and it is an evil destination.

وَلِلّٰهِ جُنُوْدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَزِيْزًا حَكِيْمًا‏(7)

WA LILLAAHE JONOODUS SAMAAWAATE WAL ARZ, WA KAANAL LAAHO A’ZEEZAN HAKEEMAA.

To Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.

اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ شَاهِدًا وَّمُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِيْرًا ۙ‏(8)

INNAA ARSALNAAKA SHAAHEDANW WA MOBASH-SHERANW WA NAZEERAA.

Indeed We have sent you as a witness, and as a bearer of good news and warner,

لِّتُؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَتُعَزِّرُوْهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوْهُ ؕ وَتُسَبِّحُوْهُ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًا‏(9)

LE-TO’MENOO BILLAAHE WA RASOOLEHI WA TO-A’ZZEROOHO WA TOWAQQEROOHO, WA TOSABBEHOOHO BUKRATANW WA ASEELAN.

that you may have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and that you may support him and revere him, and that you may glorify Him morning and evening.

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُبَايِعُوْنَكَ اِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُوْنَ اللّٰهَ ؕ يَدُ اللّٰهِ فَوْقَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ ۚ فَمَنْ نَّكَثَ فَاِنَّمَا يَنْكُثُ عَلٰى نَفْسِهٖۚ وَمَنْ اَوْفٰى بِمَا عٰهَدَ عَلَيْهُ اللّٰهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيْهِ اَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا‏(10)

INNAL LAZEENA YOBAAYE-O’ONAKA INNAMAA YOBAAYE-O’ONAL LAAH, YADUL LAAHE FAWQA AYDEEHIM, FAMAN NAKASA FAINNAMAA YANKOSO A’LAA NAFSEHI, WA MAN AWFAA BEMAA A’AHADA A’LAYHUL LAAHA FASA-YO’TEEHE AJRAN A’ZEEMAA.

Indeed those who swear allegiance to you, swear allegiance only to Allah: the hand of Allah is above their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own detriment, and whoever fulfills the covenant he has made with Allah, He will give him a great reward.

سَيَقُوْلُ لَكَ الْمُخَلَّفُوْنَ مِنَ الْاَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَاۤ اَمْوَالُنَا وَاَهْلُوْنَا فَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ۚ يَقُوْلُوْنَ بِاَلْسِنَتِهِمْ مَّا لَيْسَ فِىْ قُلُوْبِهِمْؕ قُلْ فَمَنْ يَّمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْئًا اِنْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا اَوْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًا ؕ بَلْ كَانَ اللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا‏(11)

SA-YAQOOLO LAKAL MOKHALLAFOONA MENAL A-A’RAABE SHA-GHALATNAA AMWAALONAA WA AHLOONAA FAS-TAGHFIR LANAA, YAQOOLOONA BE-ALSENATEHIM MAA LAYSA FEE QOLOOBEHIM, QUL FAMANY YAMLEKO LAKUM MENAL LAAHE SHAY-AN IN ARAADA BEKUM ZARRAN AW ARAADA BEKUM NAF-A’N, BAL KAANAL LAAHO BEMAA TA’MALOONA KHABEERAA.

The Bedouins who had stayed back [from joining the Prophet in his ‘umrah journey to Makkah] will tell you, ‘Our possessions and families kept us occupied. So plead [to Allah] for our forgiveness!’ They will say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say, ‘Whether He desires to cause you harm or desires to bring you benefit, who can be of any avail to you against Allah[’s will]? Indeed Allah is well aware of what you do.’

بَلْ ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنْ لَّنْ يَّنْقَلِبَ الرَّسُوْلُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِيْهِمْ اَبَدًا وَّزُيِّنَ ذٰ لِكَ فِىْ قُلُوْبِكُمْ وَظَنَنْتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ ۖۚ وَكُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا ۢ بُوْرًا‏(12)

BAL ZANANTUM AN LAY YANQALEBAR RASOOLO WAL MO’MENOONA ELAA AHLEEHIM ABADANW WA ZUYYENA ZAALEKA FEE QOLOOBEKUM WA ZANANTUM ZANNAS SAW-E, WA KUNTUM QAWMAM BOORAA.

Rather, you thought that the Apostle and the faithful will not ever return to their folks, and that was made to seem decorous to your hearts; you entertained evil thoughts, and you were a ruined lot.

وَمَنْ لَّمْ يُؤْمِنْۢ بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ فَاِنَّاۤ اَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ سَعِيْرًا‏(13)

WA MAL LAM YO’MIM BIL LAAHE WA RASOOLEHI FA-INNAA A-A’TADNAA LIL KAAFEREENA SA-E’ERAA.

Those who have no faith in Allah and His Apostle [should know that] We have prepared a blaze for the faithless.

وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِؕ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَّشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا‏(14)

WA LIL LAAHE MULKUS SAMAAWAATE WAL ARZE, YAGHFERO LEMAY YASHAAA-O WA YO-A’ZZEBO MAY YASHAAA-O, WA KAANAL LAAHO GHAFOORAR RAHEEMAA.

To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth: He forgives whomever He wishes, and punishes whomever He wishes, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

سَيَقُوْلُ الْمُخَلَّفُوْنَ اِذَا انْطَلَقْتُمْ اِلٰى مَغَانِمَ لِتَاْخُذُوْهَا ذَرُوْنَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ ۚ يُرِيْدُوْنَ اَنْ يُّبَدِّلُوْا كَلٰمَ اللّٰهِ ؕ قُلْ لَّنْ تَتَّبِعُوْنَا كَذٰلِكُمْ قَالَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ فَسَيَقُوْلُوْنَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُوْنَنَا ؕ بَلْ كَانُوْا لَا يَفْقَهُوْنَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا‏(15)

SAYAQOOLUL MOKHALLAFOONA EZAN TALAQTUM ELAA MAGHAANEMA LE-TA’KHOZOOHAA ZAROONAA NATTA-BE’KUM, YOREEDOONA AY YOBADDELOO KALAAMAL LAAHE, QUL LAN TATTABE-O’ONAA KAZAALEKUM QAALAL LAAHO MIN QABLO, FASAYAQOOLOONA BAL TAHSODOONANAA, BAL KAANOO LAA YAFQAHOONA ILLAA QALEELAA.

[In the near future] when you will set out to capture booty, those who stayed behind [in this journey] will say, : ‘Let us follow you.’ They desire to change the word of Allah. Say, ‘You will never follow us! Allah has said thus beforehand.’ Then they will say, ‘You are envious of us.’ Indeed, they do not understand but a little.

قُلْ لِّلْمُخَلَّفِيْنَ مِنَ الْاَعْرَابِ سَتُدْعَوْنَ اِلٰى قَوْمٍ اُولِىْ بَاْسٍ شَدِيْدٍ تُقَاتِلُوْنَهُمْ اَوْ يُسْلِمُوْنَ ۚ فَاِنْ تُطِيْعُوْا يُؤْتِكُمُ اللّٰهُ اَجْرًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَاِنْ تَتَوَلَّوْا كَمَا تَوَلَّيْتُمْ مِّنْ قَبْلُ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا اَ لِيْمًا‏(16)

QUL LIL-MOKHALLEFEENA MENAL A-A’RAABE SATUD-A’WNA ELAA QAWMIN OOLEE BAASIN SHADEEDIN TOQAATELOONAHUM AW YUSLEMOONA, FA-IN TO-TEE-O’O YO’TEKOMUL LAAHO AJRAN HASANAA, WA IN TATAWALLAW KAMAA TAWALLAYTUM MIN QABLO YO-A’ZZIBKUM A’ZAABAN ALEEMAA.

Say to the Bedouins who stayed behind, ‘[Later on] you will be called against a people of a great might: they will either embrace Islam, or you will fight them. So if you obey, Allah will give you a good reward; but if you turn away like you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.’

لَيْسَ عَلَى الْاَعْمٰى حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الْاَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الْمَرِيْضِ حَرَجٌ ؕ وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُۚوَمَنْ يَّتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا‏(17)

LAYSA A’LAL A-A’MAA HARAJUNW WALAA A’LAL A-A’RAJE HARAJUNW WALAA A’LAL MAREEZE HARAJUN, WA MAY YOTE-I’L LAAHA WA RASOOLAHU YUDKHILHO JANNAATIN TAJREE MIN TAHTEHAL ANHAARO, WA MAY YATAWALLA YO-A’ZZEIBHO A’ZAABAN ALEEMAA.

There is no blame on the blind, nor is there any blame on the lame, nor is there blame on the sick [if they are unable to go out with the troops to face the enemies]; and whoever obeys Allah and His Apostle, He will admit him into gardens with streams running in them, and whoever refuses to comply, He will punish him with a painful punishment.

لَقَدْ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ اِذْ يُبَايِعُوْنَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِىْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ فَاَنْزَلَ السَّكِيْنَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاَثَابَهُمْ فَتْحًا قَرِيْبًا ۙ‏(18)

LAQAD RAZEYAL LAAHO A’NIL MO’MENEENA IZ YOBAAYE-O’ONAKA TAHTASH SHAJARATE FA-A’LEMA MAA FEE QOLOOBEHIM FA ANZALAS SAKEENATA A’LAYHIM WA ASAABAHUM FATHAN QAREEBAA.

Allah was certainly pleased with the faithful when they swore allegiance to you under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down composure on them, and requited them with a victory near at hand

وَّمَغَانِمَ كَثِيْرَةً يَّاْخُذُوْنَهَا ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَزِيْزًا حَكِيْمًا‏(19)

WA MAGHANEMA KASEERATAY YAAKHOZOONAHAA, WA KAANAL LAAHO A’ZEEZAN HAKEEMAA.

and abundant spoils that they will capture, and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.

وَعَدَكُمُ اللّٰهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِيْرَةً تَاْخُذُوْنَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمْ هٰذِهٖ وَكَفَّ اَيْدِىَ النَّاسِ عَنْكُمْۚ وَلِتَكُوْنَ اٰيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيْمًاۙ‏(20)

WA-A’DAKOMUL LAAHO MAGHAANEMA KASEERATAN TA’KHOZOONAHAA FA-A’JJALA LAKUM HAAZEHI WA KAFFA AYDENAN NAASE A’NKUM, WA LETAKOONA AAYATAL LIL-MO’MENEENA WA YAHDEYAKUM SERAATAM MUSTAQEEMAA.

Allah has promised you abundant spoils, which you will capture. He has expedited this one for you, and withheld men’s hands from you, so that it may be a sign for the faithful, and that He may guide you to a straight path.

وَّاُخْرٰى لَمْ تَقْدِرُوْا عَلَيْهَا قَدْ اَحَاطَ اللّٰهُ بِهَاؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرًا‏(21)

WA UKHRAA LAM TAQDEROO A’LAYHAA QAD AHAATAL LAAHO BEHAA, WA KAANAL LAAHO A’LAA KULLE SHAY-IN QADEERAA.

And other [spoils as well] which you have not yet captured: Allah has comprehended them, and Allah has power over all things.

وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَوَلَّوُا الْاَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوْنَ وَلِيًّا وَّلَا نَصِيْرًا‏(22)

WA LAW QAATALAKOMUL LAZEENA KAFAROO LAWALLAWUL ADBAARA SUMMA LAA YAJEDOONA WALIYYANW WA LAA NASEERAA.

If the faithless fight you, they will turn their backs [to flee]. Then they will not find any protector or helper.

سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىْ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖۚ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللّٰهِ تَبْدِيْلًا‏(23)

SUNNATAL LAAHIL LATEE QAD KHALAT MIN QABLO, WA LAN TAJEDA LE SUNNATIL LAAHE TABDEELAA.

[It is] Allah’s precedent that has passed before, and you will never find any change in Allah’s precedent.

وَهُوَ الَّذِىْ كَفَّ اَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَاَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اَنْ اَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرًا‏(24)

WA HOWAL LAZEE KAFFA AYDEYAHUM A’NKUM WA AYDEYAKUM A’NHUM BE BATNE MAKKATA MIM BA’DE AN AZFARAKUM A’LAYHIM, WA KAANAL LAAHO BEMAA TA’MALOONA BASEERAA.

It is He who withheld their hands from you, and your hands from them, in the valley of Makkah, after He had given you victory over them, and Allah sees best what you do.

هُمُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَصَدُّوْكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْهَدْىَ مَعْكُوْفًا اَنْ يَّبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهٗ ؕ وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُّؤْمِنُوْنَ وَنِسَآءٌ مُّؤْمِنٰتٌ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوْهُمْ اَنْ تَطَئُوْ هُمْ فَتُصِيْبَكُمْ مِّنْهُمْ مَّعَرَّةٌ ۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۚ لِيُدْخِلَ اللّٰهُ فِىْ رَحْمَتِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ ۚ لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوْا لَعَذَّبْنَا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا اَ لِيْمًا‏(25)

HOMUL LAZEENA KAFAROO WA SADDOOKUM A’NIL MASJIDIL HARAAME WAL HADYA MA’KOOFAA AY YABLOGHA MAHILLAHU, WA LAW LAA REJAALUM MO-MENOONA WA NESAAA-UM MO-MENAATUL LAM TA’LAMOOHUM AN TA-TA-OOHUM FA-TOSEEBAKUM MINHUM MA-A’RRATUM BEGHAYRE I’LMIN, LE-YUDKHELAL LAAHO FEE RAHMATEHI MAY YASHAAA-O, LAW TAZAYYALOO LA-A’ZZABNAL LAZEENA KAFAROO MINHUM A’ZAABAN ALEEMAA.

They are the ones who disbelieved and barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and kept the offering from reaching its destination. And were it not for [certain] faithful men and faithful women, whom you did not know—lest you should trample them, and thus the blame for [killing] them should fall on you unawares; [He held you back] so that Allah may admit into His mercy whomever He wishes. Had they been separate, We would have surely punished the faithless among them with a painful punishment.

اِذْ جَعَلَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِىْ قُلُوْبِهِمُ الْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَاَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ سَكِيْنَتَهٗ عَلٰى رَسُوْلِهٖ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَاَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ التَّقْوٰى وَ كَانُوْۤا اَحَقَّ بِهَا وَاَهْلَهَاؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيْمًا‏(26)

IZ JA-A’LAL LAZEENA KAFAROO FEE QOLOOBEHEMUL HAMIYYATA HAMIYYATAL JAAHELIYYATE FA-ANZALAL LAAHO SAKEENATAHU A’LAA RASOOLEHI WA A’LAL MO-MENEENA WA ALZAMAHUM KALEMATAT TAQWAA WA KAANU A-HAQQA BEHAA WA AHLAHAA, WA KAANAL LAAHO BEKULLE SHAY-IN A’LEEMAA.

When the faithless nourished bigotry in their hearts, the bigotry of pagan ignorance, Allah sent down His composure upon His Apostle and the faithful, and made them abide by the word of Godwariness, for they were the worthiest of it and deserved it, and Allah has knowledge of all things.

لَقَدْ صَدَقَ اللّٰهُ رَسُوْلَهُ الرُّءْيَا بِالْحَقِّ ۚ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ اِنْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ اٰمِنِيْنَۙ مُحَلِّقِيْنَ رُءُوْسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِيْنَۙ لَا تَخَافُوْنَؕ فَعَلِمَ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوْا فَجَعَلَ مِنْ دُوْنِ ذٰلِكَ فَتْحًا قَرِيْبًا‏(27)

LAQAD SADAQAL LAAHO RASOOLAHUR RO-YAA BIL-HAQQE, LA-TADKHOLUNNAL MASJEDIL HARAAMA IN SHAAA-AL LAAHO AAMENEENA, MOHALLEQEENA RO-OOSAKUM WA MOQASSEREENA, LAA TAKHAAFOONA, FA-A’LEMA MAA LAM TA’LAMOO FA-JA-A’LA MIN DOONE ZAALEKA FATHAN QAREEBAA.

Certainly Allah has fulfilled His Apostle’s vision in all truth: You will surely enter the Sacred Mosque, God willing, in safety and without any fear, with your heads shaven or hair cropped. So He knew what you did not know, and He assigned [you] besides that a victory near at hand.

هُوَ الَّذِىْۤ اَرْسَلَ رَسُوْلَهٗ بِالْهُدٰى وَدِيْنِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهٗ عَلَى الدِّيْنِ كُلِّهٖؕ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ شَهِيْدًا ؕ‏(28)

HOWAL LAZEE ARSALA RASOOLAHU BIL-HODAA WA DEENIL HAQQE LE-YUZHERAHU A’LAD DEENE KULLEHI, WA KAFAA BIL LAAHE SHA-HEEDAA.

It is He who has sent His Apostle with guidance and the true religion, that He may make it prevail over all religions, and Allah suffices as witness.

مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَالَّذِيْنَ مَعَهٗۤ اَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيْنَهُمْ تَرٰٮهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَّبْتَغُوْنَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرِضْوَانًاسِيْمَاهُمْ فِىْ وُجُوْهِهِمْ مِّنْ اَثَرِ السُّجُوْدِ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِى التَّوْرٰٮةِ ۛ ۖۚ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِى الْاِنْجِيْلِ ۛۚ كَزَرْعٍ اَخْرَجَ شَطْئَهٗ فَاٰزَرَهٗ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوٰى عَلٰى سُوْقِهٖ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيْظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ ؕ وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنْهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةً وَّاَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا‏(29)

MOHAMMADUR RASOOLUL LAAHE, WAL LAZEENA MA-A’HU ASHID-DAAA-O A’LAL KUFFAARE ROHAMAAA-O BAYNAHUM TARAAHUM RUKKA-A’N SUJJADAY YABTAGHOONA FAZLAM MENAL LAAHE WA RIZWAANAN, SEEMAAHUM FEE WOJOOHEHIM MIN ASARIS SOJOODE, ZAALEKA MASALOHUM FIT-TAWRAATE, WA MASALOHUM FIL INJEELE, KA-ZAR-I’N AKHRAJA SHAT-AHU FA-AAZARAHU FAS-TAGHLAZA FAS-TAWAA A’LAA SOOQEHI YO’JEBUZ ZURRAA-A’ LE-YAGHEEZA BEHEMUL KUFFAARA, WA-A’DAL LAAHUL LAZEENA AAMANOO WA A’MELUS SAALEHAATE MINHUM MAGHFERATANW WA AJRAN A’ZEEMAA.

Muhammad, the Apostle of Allah, and those who are with him are hard against the faithless and merciful amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in worship], seeking Allah’s grace, and [His] pleasure. Their mark is [visible] on their faces, from the effect of prostration. Such is their description in the Torah and their description in the Evangel. Like a tillage that sends out its shoots and builds them up, and they grow stout and settle on their stalks, impressing the sowers, so that He may enrage the faithless by them. Allah has promised those of them who have faith and do righteous deeds forgiveness and a great reward.
